They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

Jabir Bin Abdullah said: I was among the ones who participated in stoning him and we stoned him at the Mousalla. When the stones troubled him; he fled; but we over took him at AlHarra and stoned him to death. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1808		Narrated Ali: Fatima complained about the blisters on her hand because of using a mill-stone. Ali added: The Prophet ﷺ came to us when we had gone to our beds. When I was going to get up; he said; Stay in your places; and sat between us; till I felt the coolness of the feet on my chest. The Prophet ﷺ then said; Shall I not tell you of a thing which is better for you than a servant? When you both go to your beds; say Allahu Akbar thirty-four times; and Subhan Allah thirty-three times; Alhamdu illah thirty-three times; for that is better for you than a servant. They said; The rich pray as we pray; and strive in Allah Cause as we do; and spend from their surplus wealth in charity; while we have no wealth to spend likewise. He said; Shall I not tell you a thing; by doing which; you will catch up with those who are ahead of you and supersede those who will come after you; and nobody will be able to do such a good deed as you do except the one who does the same deed as you do. That deed is to recite Subhan Allah ten times; and AlHamduli Allah ten times; and AllahuAkbar ten times after every prayer. Umar said; By Allah! We will ask Abu Mousa to bring witnesses for it. Abu Mousa went to a gathering of the Ansar and said. Did anyone of you hear this from the Prophet ﷺ ? Ubai Bin Kaab said; By Allah; none will go with you but the youngest of the people as a witness. Abu Said was the youngest of them; so I went with Abu Mousa and informed Umar that the Prophet ﷺ had said so. It was also said that they were to start with the right side and with the parts which were washed in ablution; and that Um Atiya also mentioned; We combed her hair and divided them in three braids. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2271		Narrated Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ said; I know the person who will be the last to come out of the Hell Fire; and the last to enter Paradise. He will be a man who will come out of the Hell Fire crawling; and Allah will say to him; Go and enter Paradise. He will go to it; but he will imagine that it had been filled; and then he will return and say; O Lord; I have found it full. Allah will say; Go and enter Paradise; and you will have what equals the world and ten times as much or; you will have as much as ten times the like of the world. On that; the man will say; Do you mock at me or laugh at me though You are the King? I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ while saying that smiling that his premolar teeth became visible. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5507		Narrated Abdullah Bin Abu Qatada: My father set out for Mecca in the year of AlHudaibiya; and his companions assumed Ihram; but he did not. At that time the Prophet ﷺ was informed that an enemy wanted to attack him; so the Prophet ﷺ proceeded onwards. While my father was among his companions; some of them laughed among themselves. My father said ; I looked up and saw an onager. I attacked; stabbed and caught it. I then sought my companions help but they refused to help me. Later we all ate its meat. We were afraid that we might be left behind separated from the Prophet ﷺ so I went in search of the Prophet ﷺ and made my horse to run at a galloping speed at times and let it go slow at an ordinary speed at other times till I met a man from the tribe of Bani Ghifar at midnight. I asked him; Where did you leave the Prophet ﷺ ? He replied; I left him at Tahun and he had the intention of having the midday rest at AlSuqya. I followed the trace and joined the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Your people companions send you their compliments; and ask for Allah Blessings upon you. They are afraid lest they may be left behind; so please wait for them. I added; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I hunted an onager and some of its meat is with me. The Prophet ﷺ told the people to eat it though all of them were in the state of Ihram. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5508		Narrated Abdullah Bin Abu Qatada: That his father said We proceeded with the Prophet ﷺ in the year of AlHudaibiya and his companions assumed Ihram but I did not. We were informed that some enemies were at Ghaiqa and so we went on towards them. My companions saw an onager and some of them started laughing among themselves. I looked and saw it. I chased it with my horse and stabbed and caught it. I wanted some help from my companions but they refused. I slaughtered it all alone. We all ate from it i.e. its meat. Then I followed Allah Messenger ﷺ lest we should be left behind. At times I urged my horse to run at a galloping speed and at other times at an ordinary slow speed. On the way I met a man from the tribe of Bani Ghifar at midnight. I asked him where he had left Allah Messenger ﷺ. The man replied that he had left the Prophet ﷺ at a place called Tahun and he had the intention of having the midday rest at AlSuqya. So; I followed Allah Messenger ﷺ till I reached him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I have been sent by my companions who send you their greetings and compliments and ask for Allah Mercy and Blessings upon you. They were afraid lest the enemy might intervene between you and them; so please wait for them. So he did. Then I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We have hunted an onager and have some of it i.e. its meat left over. Allah Messenger ﷺ told his companions to eat the meat although all of them were in a state of Ihram. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5571		Narrated Mujahid: Urwa Bin AlZubair and I entered the Masjid of the Prophet and saw Abdullah Bin Umar sitting near the dwelling place of Aisha and some people were offering the Duha prayer. We asked him about their prayer and he replied that it was a heresy. He Urwa then asked him how many times the Prophet ﷺ had performed Umra. He replied; Four times; one of them was in the month of Rajab. We disliked to contradict him. Then we heard Aisha; the Mother of faithful believers cleaning her teeth with Siwak in the dwelling place. Urwa said; O Mother! O Mother of the believers! Dont you hear what Abu Abdulrahman is saying? She said; What does he say? Urwa said; He says that Allah Messenger ﷺ performed four Umra and one of them was in the month of Rajab. Aisha said; May Allah be merciful to Abu Abdulrahman The Prophet ﷺ did not perform any Umra except that he was with him; and he never performed any Umra in Rajab. I said: Messenger of Allah; we were in the midst of ignorance and evil; and then God brought us this good time through Islam. Is there any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time? He said: Yes; but therein will be a hidden evil. I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein? He said: That time will witness the rise of the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know good points as well as bad points. I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. A time will come when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Whoso responds to their call they will throw them into the fire. I said: Messenger of Allah; describe them for us. He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language. I said: Messenger of Allah; what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time? He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader. I said: If they have no such thing as the main body and have no leader? He said: Separate yourself from all these factions; though you may have to eat the roots of trees in a jungle until death comes to you and you are in this state. SahihMuslim-017-001-18067		It has been narrated by Anas that after his migration to Medina a person placed at the Prophet ﷺ disposal some date-palms growing on his land until the lands of Quraidha and Nadir were conquered. In this connection my people told me to approach the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask from him what his people had given him or a portion thereof; but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had bestowed those trees upon Umm Aiman. So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and he gave hem back to me. Umm Aiman also came at this time. She put the cloth round my neck and said: No; by Allah; we will not give to; you what he has granted to me. The Prophet ﷺ said: Umm Aiman; let him have them and for you are such and such trees instead. But she said: By Allah; there is no god besides Him. No; never! The Prophet ﷺ continued saying: You will get such and such. until he had granted her ten times or nearly ten times more than the original gift. He would return and say: O my Lord! I found it full. Allah would say to him: Go and enter Paradise; for there is for you the like of the world and ten times like it; or for you is ten times the like of this world. He the narrator said. He that man would say: Art Thou making a fun of me? or Art Thou laughing at me. though Thou art the King? He the narrator said: I saw the Messenger of Allah laugh till his front teeth were visible. Ali further reported : We tried to stand up as a mark of respect but Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Keep to your beds; and he sat amongst us and I felt the coldness of his feet upon my chest. He then said: May I not direct you to something better than what you have asked for? When you go to your bed; you should recite Takbir Allah-o-Akbar thirty-four times and Tasbih Subhan Allah thirty-three times and Tahmid AlHamdu li-Allah thirty-three times; and that is better than the servant for you. He said: I sought permission yesterday from Umar Bin AlKhattab three times but he did not permit me; so I came back; then I went to him today and visited him and informed him that I had come to him yesterday and greeted him thrice; then came back; whereupon he said: Yes; we did hear you but be were at that time busy; but why did you not seek permission further and you must have never gone back until you were permitted to do so. He said: I sought permission in the manner that I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ having said in connection With the seeking of permission for entering the house of a stranger. Thereupon he Hadrat Umar said: By Allah; I shall torture your back and your stomach unless you bring one who may bear witness to what you state. Ubay Bin Kaab said: By Allah; none should stand with you to bear testimony but the youngest amongst us. And he therefore; said to Abu Said: Stand up. He said: I did not understand what to say. So I went to the house of Ibn Umar Allah be pleased with them in Mecca. I said to his servant: Seek permission for Me. He said that he Ibn Umar had been taking rest. He Ibn Umar heard my voice. and said: Are you Ibn Jubair? I said: Yes. Hesaid: Come in. By Allah; it must be some great need which has brought you here at this Hour. So I got in and found him lying on a blanket reclining against a pillow stuffed with fibres of date-palm. I said: O AbuAbd AlRahman; should there be separation between the invokers of curses? He said: Hallowed be Allah; yes; The first one who asked about it was so and so. he said: Messenger of Allah; tell me If one of us finds his wife committing adultery: what should he do? If he talks; that is something great; and if he keeps quiet that is also something great which he cannot afford to do. Allah Prophet ﷺ kept quiet or some time. After some time he that very person came to him Allah Messenger and said: I have been involved in that very cage about which I had asked you Allah the Exalted and Majestic then revealed these verses of Surah Nur: Those who accuse their wives verse 6 ; and he the Holy Prophet recited them to him and admonished him; and exhorted him and informed him that the torment of the world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. He said: No; by Him Who sent you with Truth; I did not tell a lie against her. He the Holy Prophet then called her the wife of that person who had accused her and admonished her; and exhorted her; and informed her that the torment of this world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. She said: No; by Him Who sent thee with Truth; he is a liar. it was the man who started the swearing of oath and he swore in the name of Allah four times that he was among the truthful. and at the fifth turn he said: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then the woman was called and she swore four times in the name of Allah that he her husband was among the liars; and at the fifth time she said : Let there be curse upon her if he were among the truthful. I did not know what to say. So I went to the house of Abdullah Bin Umar and I sought permission to enter. I was told he was taking a nap; but he heard me taking and he said: Is it Ibn Jubair? Enter. You would not have come except for a need. He said: So I entered and found him laying on a saddlecloth from his mount. I said: O Abu Abdulrahman Are those involved in Lian separated? He said: Glorious is Allah! Yes. The first who asked about hat was so-and-so the son of so-and-so. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said O Messenger of Allah! If one of us saw his wife committing adultery; what should he do? If he were to say anything; his statement would be a horrible matter; and if he were to remain silent; his silence about the matter would be horrible. He said: So the Prophet ﷺ remained silent and did not answer him. Afterwards he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: The one who asked you about it has been tried by it. So Allah revealed these Ayat from Surat AlNur: And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies by Allah 24:6-10 - until the end of those Ayat. He said: So he called for the man and recited the Ayat to him and admonished him; reminded him; and he told him: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. So he said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the Truth! I did not lie about her. Then he ﷺ did the same with the woman; admonishing her and reminding her and he told her: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. She said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the Truth! He is not telling the truth. He said: So he started with the man: He testified four times; by Allah that he is one of the truthful; and the fifth time that the curse of Allah be upon him if he was one of the liars. Then the same with the woman: She testified four times by Allah; that he was one of the liars; and the fifth time that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was one of the truthful. SunanAlNasai-017-001-11522		It was narrated from Abu Salamah from Aisha; and; from Amr Bin Sad; from Nafi; from Ibn Umar: That Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Ghusl from Janabah - and the narrations agree on this - that one should start by pouring water on the right hand two or three times; then put the right hand into the vessel and pour water with it onto the private parts; with the left hand on the private parts to wash off whatever is there; until it is clean; then put the left hand on the dust if one wants to; then pour water over the left hand until it is clean; then wash the hands three times; sniff water into the nose and rinse the mouth; and wash the face and forearms; three times each until when reaching the head; he does not wipe the head; rather he pours water over it. This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Ghusl according to what was mentioned. He said: Stay with us for these two days. Then he told Bilal to say the Iqamah at dawn and he prayed Fajr. Then he told him to do that when the sun had passed its zenith and he prayed Zuhr. Then he told him to do that when the sun was still bright; and he said the Iqamah for Asr. Then he told him to do that when the last part of the sun had dissapeared; and he said the Iqamah for Maghrib. Then he told him to do that when the twilight had disappeared and he said the Iqamah for Isha. The following day; he prayed Fajr when there was light; then he delayed Zuhr until it was cooler; and waited until it was much cooler before praying Asr but the sun was still clear; so he prayed Asr later than on the first day. Then he prayed Maghrib before the twilight disappeared. Then he told him to say the Iqamah for Isha when one-third of the night had passed; and he prayed; then he said: Where is the one who was asking about the times of prayer? He told Bilal to say the Iqamah at dawn broke; then he told him to say the Iqamah for Zuhr when the sun had passed its zenith and a person would say: It is the middle of the day; but he the Prophet ﷺ knew better. Then he told him to say the Iqamah for Asr when the sun was still high. Then he told him to say the Iqamah for Maghrib when the sun had set. Then he told him to say the Iqamah for Isha when the twilight had dissapeared. Then the next day he told him to say the Iqamah for Fajr; at a time such that when after he had finished one would say: The sun has risen. Then he delayed Zuhr until it was nearly the time of Asr compared to the day before. Then he delayed Asr; to a time such that when he finished one would say: The su has turned red. Then he delayed Maghrib until the twilight was about to disappear. Then he delayed Isha until one-third of the night had passed. Then he said: The time for prayer is between these times. Then after that will come the reckoning; each good deed will be rewarded ten times up to seven hundred times. And each bad deed will be recorded as it is; unless Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; forgives it. I was surprised and when he noticed that he said: Do not be surprised; for I saw your father the Prophet ﷺ doing; referring to his Ablution and drinking the leftover water while standing. He washed his hands three times; then he rinsed his mouth and nose; then he washed his face three times; then washed his right hand up to the elbow three times. Then he washed his left hand likewise. Then he washed his left hand likewise. Then he wiped his head; then he washed his right foot up to the ankle three times; and he washed his left foot likewise; and he washed his left foot likewise. When he had washed his hands; he would put his right hand in the vessel then pour water with his right hand and wash his private parts with his left hand. When he had finished; he would pour water with his right hand over his left hand and wash them both. If you act upon them; Allah will forgive you your sins; first and last; old and new; involuntary and voluntary; small and great; secret and open. These are the ten things: you should pray four rakahs; reciting in each one Fatihat AlKitab and a surah. When you finish the recitation of the first rakah you should say fifteen times while standing: Glory be to Allah; Praise be to Allah; There is no god but Allah; Allah is most great. Then you should bow and say it ten times while bowing. Then you should raise your head after bowing and say it ten times. Then you should kneel down in prostration and say it ten times while prostrating yourself. Then you should raise your head after prostration and say it ten times. Then you should prostrate yourself and say it ten times. Then you should raise your head after prostrating and say it ten times in every rakah. You should do that in four rakahs. If you can observe it once daily; do so; if not; then once weekly; if not; then once a month; if not; then once a year; if not; then once in your lifetime. I thought that he would give me some present. He said to me when I came to him : When the day declines; stand up and pray four rakahs. He then narrated something similar. This version adds: Do not stand until you glorify Allah ten times; and praise Him ten times; and exalt Him ten times; and say; There is no god but Allah ten times. Then you should do that in four rakahs. If you are the greatest sinner on earth; you will be forgiven by Allah on account of this prayer. I asked: If I cannot pray this the appointed hour; what should I do ? SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25111		Aisha wife of the Prophet ﷺ said Marriage in pre Islamic times was of four kinds. One of them was the marriage contracted by the people today. A man asked another man to marry his relative sister or daughter to him. He fixed the dower and married her to him. Another kind of marriage was that a man asked his wife when she became pure from menstruation to send fro so and so and have sexual intercourse with him. Her husband kept himself aloof and did not have intercourse with her till It became apparent that she was pregnant from the man who had intercourse with her. When it was manifest that she was pregnant; her husband approached her if he liked. This marriage was called istibda to utilize man for intercourse for a noble birth. A third kind of marriage was that a group of people less than ten in number entered upon a woman and had intercourse with her. When she conceived gave birth to a child and a number of days passed after her delivery; she sent for them. No one of them could refuse to attend and they gathered before her. She said to them You have realized your affair. I have now given birth to a child. And this is your son. O so and so. She called the name of anyone of them she liked and the child was attributed to him. A fourth kind of marriage was that many people gathered together and entered upon a woman who did not prevent anyone who came to her. They were prostitutes. They hoisted flags at their doors which served as a sign for the one who intended to enter upon them. When she became pregnant and delivered the child ; they got together before her and called for the experts of tracing relationship from physical features. They attributed the child to whom they considered and it was given to him. The child was called his son and he could not deny. When Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ as a Prophet; he abolished all kinds of marriages prevalent among the people of the pre Islamic times except of the Muslims practiced today. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25124		Abu Salamah Bin Abdulrahman said that Fatimah daughter of Qais told him that Abu Hafs AlMughirah divorced her three times. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. The version has Khalid Bin Walid and some people of Banu Makhzum came to the Prophet ﷺ and said Prophet of Allaah ﷺ Abu Hafs AlMughirah divorced his wife three times and he has left a little for her. He said No maintenance is necessary for her. He then transmitted the rest of the tradition. The tradition narrated by Malik is more perfect. He repeated the same words three times. We then stretched our hands and took the oath of allegiance to him. A man or us said : We took the oath of allegiance to you; now on what should we take the oath of allegiance; Messenger of Allah ? He replied: That you should worship Allah; do not associate anything with Him; offer five times prayer; listen and obey. He uttered a word quietly : And do not beg from the people. Then a man named Muslim who was there in the company mentioned it to me. When Ubaydullah saw him; he said: This Muhammad of yours is a dwarf and fat. The old man i.e. Abu Barzah understood it. So he said: I dont think that I should remain among people who criticize me for having had the company of Muhammad ﷺ. Thereupon Ubaydullah said to him: The company of Muhammad ﷺ is a honour for you; not a disgrace. He added: I called for you to ask about the Haud reservoir or cistern. Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say anything about it? Abu Barzah said: Yes; not once; twice; thrice; four times or five times. Whoever disbelieves in it; may Allah not supply him with water from it. He then went away angrily. He then washed his right arm up to the elbow three times; then washed his left arm in a similar manner; then wiped his head; then washed his right foot three times; then washed his left foot in a similar manner; and then said : I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution like this ablution of mine. Then he the Prophet said: He who performs ablution like this ablution of mine and then offered two rakhahs of prayer without allowing his thoughts to be distracted; Allah will pardon all his past sins. A vessel was then brought to him. He inclined it towords his right hand poured water upon it. He then put it in the water three times; and washed his face three times. He then put his hand in the water and took it out; then he wiped his head and ears; in and out only once. He then washed his feet; and said : Where are those who asked me to perform ablution? I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution like that. Abu Dawud said : All the sound traditions narrated by Uthman indicated that the head is to be wiped once; because they mentioned the washing of each part in ablution three times. In their versions of tradition they mentioned the wordings: he wiped his head. In this case they did not mention any number as they did in other cases. He then put his right hand in the vessel to take water and rinsed his mouth three times and snuffed up water three times. He then narrated almost the same tradition as narrated by Abu Awanah. He asked permission three times; and then went away Umar Ibn AlKhattab sent after him and said; What wrong with you? Why didnt you come in? Abu Mousa said; I heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; say; Ask permission to enter three times. If you are given permission; then enter. If not; go away. Umar said; Who can confirm this? If you do not bring me someone to confirm it; I will do such-and-such to you. Abu Mousa went out until he came to an assembly in the Masjid which was called the Majlis AlAnsar. He said; I told Umar Ibn AlKhattab that I heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; say; Ask permission three times. If you are given permission; then enter. If not; go away. Umar said; If you do not bring me someone who can confirm it; I will do such- and-such to you. If any of you have heard that; let him come with me. They said to Abu Said AlKhudri; Go with him. Abu Said was the youngest of them. He went with him and told Umar Ibn AlKhattab about that. Umar Ibn AlKhattab said to Abu Mousa; I did not suspect you; but I feared lest people forge sayings of the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. MuwataMalik-017-001-35400		Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl Ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Whoever makes an oath and then sees that something else would be better than it; should do kaffara for his oath and do what is better. Yahya said that he heard Malik say; Anyone who says that he has a vow but does not mention the name of Allah; is still obliged to make the kaffara for an oath if he breaks it. Malik said; Emphasis is when a man swears one thing several times; repeating the oath in his speech time after time. For instance; the statement; By Allah; I will not decrease it from such-and-such; sworn three times or more. The kaffara of that is like the kaffara of one oath. If a man swears; I will not eat this food or wear these clothes or enter this house; that is all in one oath; and he is only obliged to do one kaffara. It is the same for a man who says to his wife; You are divorced if I clothe you in this garment or let you go to the Masjid; and it is one entire statement in the normal pattern of speech. If he breaks any of that oath; divorce is necessary; and there is no breaking of oath after that in whatever he does. There is only one oath to be broken in that. Malik said; What we do about a woman who makes a vow without her husband permission is that she is allowed to do so and she must fulfill it; if it only concerns her own person and will not harm her husband. If; however; it will harm her husband; he may forbid her to fulfill it; but it remains an obligation against her until she has the opportunity to complete it. MuwataMalik-017-001-36077		Yahya related to me from Malik from Amr Ibn Yahya AlMazini that his father once asked Abdullah Ibn Zayd Ibn Aasi m; who was the grandfather of Amr Ibn Yahya AlMazini and one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; if he could show him how the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; did Ablution. Abdullah Ibn Zayd Ibn Aasi m agreed to do so and asked for water to do Ablution. He poured some out on to his hand and washed each hand twice and then rinsed his mouth and snuffed water up his nose and blew it out three times.Then he washed hisface three times and both of his arms up to the elbows twice. He then wiped his head with both hands; taking his hands from hisforehead to the nape of his neck and then bringing them back to where he had begun. Then he washed his feet.
