Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss.
Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.
O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses, - until leave is given you, - for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-024Narrated Kuraib: I was sent to Aisha by Ibn Abbas; AlMiswar Bin Makhrama and Abdulrahman Bin Azhar. They told me to greet her on their behalf and to ask her about the offering of the two rakat after the Asr prayer and to say to her; We were informed that you offer those two rakat and we were told that the Prophet had forbidden offering them. Ibn Abbas said; I along with Umar Bin AlKhattab used to beat the people whenever they offered them. I went to Aisha and told her that message. Aisha said; Go and ask Umm Salamah about them. So I returned and informed them about her statement. They then told me to go to Umm Salamah with the same question with which t sent me to Aisha. Umm Salamah replied; I heard the Prophet ﷺ forbidding them. Later I saw him offering them immediately after he prayed the Asr prayer. He then entered my house at a time when some of the Ansari women from the tribe of Bani Haram were sitting with me; so I sent my slave girl to him having said to her; Stand beside him and tell him that Umm Salamah says to you; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I have heard you forbidding the offering of these two rakat after the Asr prayer but I have seen you offering them. If he waves his hand then wait for him. The slave girl did that. The Prophet ﷺ beckoned her with his hand and she waited for him. When he had finished the prayer he said; O daughter of Bani Umaiya! You have asked me about the two rakat after the Asr prayer. The people of the tribe of Abd AlQais came to me and made me busy and I could not offer the two rakat after the Zuhr prayer. These two rakat that I have just prayed are for those missed ones. The Chapter on Bowing In Obligatory Prayers in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If a person speaks to a person offering Salat prayer in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1367Narrated Abu Mousa AlAshari: The Prophet ﷺ went out to one of the gardens of Medina for some business and I went out to follow him. When he entered the garden; I sat at its gate and said to myself; To day I will be the gatekeeper of the Prophet though he has not ordered me. The Prophet ﷺ went and finished his need and went to sit on the constructed edge of the well and uncovered his legs and hung them in the well. In the meantime Abu Bakr came and asked permission to enter. I said to him ; Wait till I get you permission. Abu Bakr waited outside and I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Prophet! Abu Bakr asks your permission to enter. He said; Admit him; and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise. So Abu Bakr entered and sat on the right side of the Prophet ﷺ and uncovered his legs and hung them in the well. Then Umar came and I said to him ; Wait till I get you permission. The Prophet ﷺ said; Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise. So Umar entered and sat on the left side of the Prophet and uncovered his legs and hung them in the well so that one side of the well became fully occupied and there remained no place for any-one to sit. Then Uthman came and I said to him ; Wait till I get permission for you. The Prophet ﷺ said; Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise with a calamity which will befall him. When he entered; he could not find any place to sit with them so he went to the other edge of the well opposite them and uncovered his legs and hung them in the well. I wished that a brother of mine would come; so I invoked Allah for his coming. Ibn AlMusaiyab said; I interpreted that narration as indicating their graves. Abu Bakr said; Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. Do you hope that emigration ? The Prophet said; Yes. So Abu Bakr waited to accompany the Prophet ﷺ and fed two camels he had on the leaves of AlSamur tree regularly for four months One day while we were sitting in our house at midday; someone said to Abu Bakr; Here is Allah Messenger ﷺ ; coming with his head and a part of his face covered with a cloth-covering at an hour he never used to come to us. Abu Bakr said; Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you; O Prophet ! An urgent matter must have brought you here at this hour. The Prophet ﷺ came and asked the permission to enter; and he was allowed. The Prophet ﷺ entered and said to Abu Bakr; Let those who are with you; go out. Abu Bakr replied; There is no stranger ; they are your family. Let my father be sacrificed for you; O Allah Apostle! The Prophet ﷺ said; I have been allowed to leave Mecca. Take one of these two shecamels of mine The Prophet ﷺ said. I will take it only after paying its price. So we prepared their baggage and put their journey food In a leather bag. And Asma bint Abu Bakr cut a piece of her girdle and tied the mouth of the leather bag with it. That is why she was called Dhatan- Nitaqaln. I went to Uthman Bin Affan and presented Hafsa for marriage to him. He said; I will think it over. Umar further said; I met Abu Bakr AlSiddiq and said to him; If you wish; I will marry my daughter Hafsa to you. Abu Bakr kept quiet and did not say anything to me in reply. I became more angry with him than with Uthman. I waited for a few days and then Allah Messenger ﷺ asked for her hand; and I gave her in marriage to him. Afterwards I met Abu Bakr who said; Perhaps you became angry with me when you presented Hafsa to me and I did not give you a reply? I said; Yes. While I was sitting in one of the gatherings of my tribe. Bani Mudlij; a man from them came to us and stood up while we were sitting; and said; O Suraqa! No doubt; I have just seen some people far away on the seashore; and I think they are Muhammad and his companions. Suraqa added; I too realized that it must have been they. But I said No; it is not they; but you have seen so-and-so; and so-and-so whom we saw set out. I stayed in the gathering for a while and then got up and left for my home. and ordered my slave-girl to get my horse which was behind a hillock; and keep it ready for me. Then I took my spear and left by the back door of my house dragging the lower end of the spear on the ground and keeping it low. Then I reached my horse; mounted it and made it gallop. When I approached them i.e. Muhammad and Abu Bakr ; my horse stumbled and I fell down from it; Then I stood up; got hold of my quiver and took out the divining arrows and drew lots as to whether I should harm them i.e. the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr or not; and the lot which I disliked came out. But I remounted my horse and let it gallop; giving no importance to the divining arrows. When I heard the recitation of the Quran by Allah Messenger ﷺ who did not look hither and thither while Abu Bakr was doing it often; suddenly the forelegs of my horse sank into the ground up to the knees; and I fell down from it. Then I rebuked it and it got up but could hardly take out its forelegs from the ground; and when it stood up straight again; its fore-legs caused dust to rise up in the sky like smoke. Then again I drew lots with the divining arrows; and the lot which I disliked; came out. So I called upon them to feel secure. They stopped; and I remounted my horse and went to them. When I saw how I had been hampered from harming them; it came to my mind that the cause of Allah Messenger ﷺ i.e. Islam will become victorious. So I said to him; Your people have assigned a reward equal to the bloodmoney for your head. Then I told them all the plans the people of Mecca had made concerning them. Then I offered them some journey food and goods but they refused to take anything and did not ask for anything; but the Prophet ﷺ said; Do not tell others about us. Then I requested him to write for me a statement of security and peace. He ordered Amr Bin Fuhaira who wrote it for me on a parchment; and then Allah Messenger ﷺ proceeded on his way. Narrated Urwa Bin AlZubair: Allah Messenger ﷺ met AlZubair in a caravan of Muslim merchants who were returning from Sham. AlZubair provided Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr with white clothes to wear. When the Muslims of Medina heard the news of the departure of Allah Messenger ﷺ from Mecca towards Medina ; they started going to the Harra every morning. They would wait for him till the heat of the noon forced them to return. One day; after waiting for a long while; they returned home; and when they went into their houses; a Jew climbed up the roof of one of the forts of his people to look for some thing; and he saw Allah Messenger ﷺ and his companions dressed in white clothes; emerging out of the desert mirage. The Jew could not help shouting at the top of his voice; O you Arabs! Here is your great man whom you have been waiting for! So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah Messenger ﷺ on the summit of Harra. The Prophet ﷺ turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani Amr Bin Auf; and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi AlAwal. Abu Bakr stood up; receiving the people while Allah Messenger ﷺ sat down and kept silent. Some of the Ansar who came and had not seen Allah Messenger ﷺ before; began greeting Abu Bakr; but when the sunshine fell on Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr came forward and shaded him with his sheet only then the people came to know Allah Messenger ﷺ. Allah Messenger ﷺ stayed with Bani Amr Bin Auf for ten nights and established the Masjid Masjid of Quba which was founded on piety. Allah Messenger ﷺ prayed in it and then mounted his camel and proceeded on; accompanied by the people till his camel knelt down at the place of the Masjid of Allah Messenger ﷺ at Medina. Some Muslims used to pray there in those days; and that place was a yard for drying dates belonging to Suhail and Sahl; the orphan boys who were under the guardianship of Asad Bin Zurara. When his camel knelt down; Allah Messenger ﷺ said; This place; Allah willing; will be our abiding place. Allah Messenger ﷺ then called the two boys and told them to suggest a price for that yard so that he might take it as a Masjid. The two boys said; No; but we will give it as a gift; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah Messenger ﷺ then built a Masjid there. The Prophet ﷺ himself started carrying unburnt bricks for its building and while doing so; he was saying This load is better than the load of Khaibar; for it is more pious in the Sight of Allah and purer and better rewardable. He was also saying; O Allah! The actual reward is the reward in the Hereafter; so bestow Your Mercy on the Ansar and the Emigrants. Thus the Prophet ﷺ recited by way of proverb the poem of some Muslim poet whose name is unknown to me. Ibn Shibab said; In the Hadiths it does not occur that Allah Apostle recited a complete poetic verse other than this one.The Chapter on Horses And Property in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The emigration of the Prophet to AlMadina in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4793Narrated Marwan Bin AlHakam and AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: When the delegates of the tribe of Hawazin came to the Prophet ﷺ they requested him to return their property and their captives. He said to them; This concerns also other people along with me as you see; and the best statement to me is the true one; so you may choose one of two alternatives; either the captives or the property and I have not distributed the booty for I have been waiting for you. When the Prophet ﷺ had returned from Taif; he waited for them for more than ten nights. When they came to know that the Prophet ﷺ would not return except one of the two; they chose their captives. The Prophet then stood up amongst the Muslims; Glorified and Praised Allah as He deserved; and then said; Then after: These brothers of yours have come to you with repentance and I see it proper to return their captives; so whoever amongst you likes to do that as a favor; then he can do it; and whoever of you wants to stick to his share till we pay him from the very first Fai i.e. war booty which Allah will give us; then he can do so. The people said; We return the captives to them willingly as a favor; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Prophet ﷺ said; I do not know who of you has given his consent and who has not; so go back and your leaders may present your decision to me. The people went away; and their leaders discussed the matter with them; and then came to the Prophet ﷺ to tell him that all of them had given their consent to return the captives willingly. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5014Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; Three men from among those who were before you; set out together till they reached a cave at night and entered it. A big rock rolled down the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other ; Nothing could save you from this rock but to invoke Allah by giving reference to the righteous deed which you have done for Allah sake only. So; one of them said; O Allah! I had old parents and I never provided my family wife; children etc. with milk before them. One day; by chance I was delayed; and I came late at night while they had slept. I milked the sheep for them and took the milk to them; but I found them sleeping. I disliked to provide my family with the milk before them. I waited for them and the bowl of milk was in my hand and I kept on waiting for them to get up till the day dawned. Then they got up and drank the milk. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from our critical situation caused by this rock. So; the rock shifted a little but they could not get out. The Prophet ﷺ added; The second man said; O Allah! I had a cousin who was the dearest of all people to me and I wanted to have sexual relations with her but she refused. Later she had a hard time in a famine year and she came to me and I gave her one-hundred-and-twenty Dinars on the condition that she would not resist my desire; and she agreed. When I was about to fulfill my desire; she said: It is illegal for you to outrage my chastity except by legitimate marriage. So; I thought it a sin to have sexual intercourse with her and left her though she was the dearest of all the people to me; and also I left the gold I had given her. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from the present calamity. So; the rock shifted a little more but still they could not get out from there. The Prophet ﷺ added; Then the third man said; O Allah! I employed few laborers and I paid them their wages with the exception of one man who did not take his wages and went away. I invested his wages and I got much property thereby. Then after some time he came and said to me: O Allah slave! Pay me my wages. I said to him: All the camels; cows; sheep and slaves you see; are yours. He said: O Allah slave! Dont mock at me. I said: I am not mocking at you. So; he took all the herd and drove them away and left nothing. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from the present suffering. Allah Messenger ﷺ continued his talk; so some people said that Allah Messenger ﷺ had heard the question; but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah Messenger ﷺ had not heard it. When the Prophet ﷺ finished his speech; he said; Where is the questioner; who inquired about the Hour Doomsday ? The Bedouin said; I am here; O Allah Apostle. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; When honesty is lost; then wait for the Hour Doomsday. The Bedouin said; How will that be lost? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6441Narrated Aisha: Abu Bakr asked the Prophet ﷺ to allow him to go out of Mecca when he was greatly annoyed by the infidels. But the Prophet ﷺ said to him; Wait. Abu Bakr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Do you hope that you will be allowed to migrate ? Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; I hope so. So Abu Bakr waited for him till one day Allah Messenger ﷺ came at noon time and addressed him saying Let whoever is present with you; now leave you. Abu Bakr said; None is present but my two daughters. The Prophet ﷺ said; Have you noticed that I have been allowed to go out to migrate ? Abu Bakr said; O Allah Apostle; I would like to accompany you. The Prophet ﷺ said; You will accompany me. Abu Bakr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I have got two camels which I had prepared and kept ready for our going out. So he gave one of the two camels to the Prophet ﷺ and it was AlJada. They both rode and proceeded till they reached the Cave at the mountain of Thaur where they hid themselves. Amir Bin Fuhaira was the slave of Abdullah Bin AlTufail Bin Sakhbara Aisha brother from her mother side. Abu Bakr had a milch camel. Amir used to go with it i.e. the milch camel in the afternoon and come back to them before noon by setting out towards them in the early morning when it was still dark and then he would take it to the pasture so that none of the shepherds would be aware of his job. When the Prophet and Abu Bakr went away from the Cave ; he i.e. Amir too went along with them and they both used to make him ride at the back of their camels in turns till they reached Medina. Amir Bin Fuhaira was martyred on the day of Bir Mauna. Narrated Urwa: When those Muslims at Bir Mauna were martyred and Amr Bin Umaiya AlDamri was taken prisoner; Amir Bin AlTufail; pointing at a killed person; asked Amr; Who is this? Amr Bin Umaiya said to him; He is Amir Bin Fuhaira. Amir Bin AlTufail said; I saw him lifted to the sky after he was killed till I saw the sky between him and the earth; and then he was brought down upon the earth. Then the news of the killed Muslims reached the Prophet ﷺ and he announced the news of their death saying; Your companions of Bir Mauna have been killed; and they have asked their Lord saying; O our Lord! Inform our brothers about us as we are pleased with You and You are pleased with us. So Allah informed them i.e. the Prophet ﷺ and his companions about them i.e. martyrs of Bir Mauna. The Prophet became seriously ill and asked whether the people had prayed. We replied; No. O Allah Apostle! They are waiting for you. He added; Put water for me in a trough. Aisha added; We did so. He took a bath and tried to get up but fainted. When he recovered; he again asked whether the people had prayed. We said; No; they are waiting for you. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; He again said; Put water in a trough for me. He sat down and took a bath and tried to get up but fainted again. Then he recovered and said; Have the people prayed? We replied; No; they are waiting for you. O Allah Apostle. He said; Put water for me in the trough. Then he sat down and washed himself and tried to get up but he fainted. When he recovered; he asked; Have the people prayed? We said; No; they are waiting for you. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The people were in the Masjid waiting for the Prophet ﷺ for the Isha prayer. The Prophet ﷺ sent for Abu Bakr to lead the people in the prayer. The messenger went to Abu Bakr and said; Allah Messenger ﷺ orders you to lead the people in the prayer. Abu Bakr was a softhearted man; so he asked Umar to lead the prayer but Umar replied; You are more rightful. So Abu Bakr led the prayer in those days. When the Prophet ﷺ felt a bit better; he came out for the Zuhr prayer with the help of two persons one of whom was AlAbbas. while Abu Bakr was leading the people in the prayer. When Abu Bakr saw him he wanted to retreat but the Prophet ﷺ beckoned him not to do so and asked them to make him sit beside Abu Bakr and they did so. Abu Bakr was following the Prophet in the prayer and the people were following Abu Bakr. The Prophet prayed sitting. Ubaidullah added I went to Abdullah Bin Abbas and asked him; Shall I tell you what Aisha has told me about the fatal illness of the Prophet? Ibn Abbas said; Go ahead. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6895Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: During the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ some people said; : O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Similarly you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection; a call-maker will announce; Let every nation follow that which they used to worship. Then none of those who used to worship anything other than Allah like idols and other deities but will fall in Hell Fire ; till there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah; both those who were obedient i.e. good and those who were disobedient i.e. bad and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Ezra; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son. What do you want now? They will say; O our Lord! We are thirsty; so give us something to drink. They will be directed and addressed thus; Will you drink; whereupon they will be gathered unto Hell Fire which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. Afterwards the Christians will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Jesus; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son; Then it will be said to them; What do you want? They will say what the former people have said. Then; when there remain in the gathering none but those who used to worship Allah Alone; the real Lord of the Worlds whether they were obedient or disobedient. Then Allah the Lord of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about Him. It will be said; What are you waiting for? Every nation have followed what they used to worship. They will reply; We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. SahihMuslim-017-001-18759It is reported on the authority of Abu AlZubair that he heard from Jabir b Abdullah; who was asked about the arrival of people on the Day of Resurrection. He said. We would come on the Day of Resurrection like this; like this; and see. carefully. that which concerns elevated people. He the narrator said: Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped; one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: We are not sure till we gaze at Thee; and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly; and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person; whether a hypocrite or a believer; would be endowed with a light; and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell; which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished; and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces; and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how the groups would follow one after another. Then the stage of intercession would come; and they who are permitted to intercede would intercede; till he who had declared: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water; and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted the bounties of the world and with it ten more besides it.The Chapter on Admittance To Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-19045Masruq reported that there came to Abdullah a person and said: I have left behind in the Masjid a man who explains the Quran according to his personal discretion and he explained this verse: So wait for the day when the Heaven brings a clear smoke. He says that a smoke would come to the people on the Day of Resurrection anl it will withhold breath and they would be inflicted with cold. Abdullah said: He who has knowledge should say something and he who has no knowledge should simply say: Allah is best aware. This reflects the understanding of a person that he should say about that which he does not know that it is Allah who knows best. The fact is that when the Quraish disobeyed Allah Apostle ﷺ he supplicated Allah that they should be afflicted with famine and starvation as was done in case of Yousif. And they were so much hard pressed that a person would ace the sky and he would see between him and the sky something like smoke and they were so much hard pressed that they began to cat the bones; and a person came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger. seek forgiveness for the tribe of Mudar for its people have been undone. The Messenger ﷺ said: For Mudar? You are overbold; but he supplicated Allah for them. It was upon this that this verse was revealed: We shall remove the chastisement a little; but they will surely return to evil xliv. 15. lie the narrator said: There was a downpoor of rain upon them. When there was some relief for them they returned to the same position as they had been before; and Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; revealed this verse: So wait for the day when the heaven brings a clear smoke enveloping people. She said: My husband pronounced three divorces in my case and Allah Messenger ﷺ permitted me to spend any waiting period in my family. It was during this period that announcement was made for the people to observe prayer in the bigger Masjid. I went there along with people and I was in the front row meant for women and it was adjacent to the last row of men and I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ deliver sermon sitting on the pulpit. He said: The cousin of Tamim Dari sailed in the ocean. They ate to their fill and went out; but a group among them remained there and was engaged in lengthy discussion. Allah Apostle ﷺ felt shy of saying them anything. So he went out and left them in his house and Allah the Great and Majestic revealed this verse: 0 you who believe; enter not the houses of the Prophet unless permission is given to you for a meal; not waiting for its cooking being finished. The slave-girl did like that. He the Holy Prophet pointed out with his hand and she got Aasi de and waited; and when he had finished the prayer he said: Daughter of Abu Umaya. you have asked about the two rakahs after the Asr prayer. MuwataMalik-017-001-34917Yahya said that he heard Malik speak about two men who had a pledge between them. One of them undertook to sell his pledge; and the other one had asked him to wait a year for his due. He said; If it is possible to divide the pledge; and the due of the one who asked him to wait will not be decreased; half the pledge which is between them is sold for him and he is given his due. If it is feared that his right will be decreased; all the pledge is sold; and the one who undertook to sell his pledge is given his due from that. If the one who asked him to wait for his due is pleased in himself; half of the price is paid to the pledger. If not; the pledgee is made to take an oath that he only asked him to wait so that he could transfer my pledge to me in its form. Then he is given his due immediately. Yahya said that he heard Malik say about a slave whose master had pledged him and the slave had property of his own; The property of the slave is not part of the pledge unless the broker stipulates that. The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Loans in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Evil Eye in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35262Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Said Ibn AlMusayab said; The idda of the woman who bleeds constantly is a year. Malik said; What is done among us about a divorced woman whose periods stop when her husband divorces her is that she waits nine months. If she has not had a period in them; she has an idda of three months. If she has a period before the end of the three months; she accepts the period. If another nine months pass without her having a period; she does an idda of three months. If she has a second period before the end of those three months; she accepts the period. If nine months then pass without a period; she does an idda of three months. If she has a third period; the idda of the period is complete. If she does not have a period; she waits three months; and then she is free to marry. Her husband can return to her before she becomes free to marry unless he made her divorce irrevocable. Malik said; The sunna with us is that when a man divorces his wife and has the option to return to her; and she does part of her idda and then he returns to her and then parts from her before he has had intercourse with her; she does not add to what has passed of her idda. Her husband has wronged himself and erred if he returned to her and had no need of her. Malik said; What is done among us is that if a woman becomes a muslim while her husband is a kafir and then he becomes muslim; he is entitled to her as long as she is in her idda. If her idda is finished; he has no access to her. If he remarries her after the end of her idda; however; that is not counted as divorce. Islam removed her from him without divorce. The Chapter on Marriage And Entitlements in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Qirad in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35554Malik said; In my opinion; and Allah knows best; nothing is taken from what comes out of mines until what comes out of them reaches a value of twenty gold dinars or two hundred silver dirhams. When it reaches that amount there is zakat to pay on it where it is on the spot. Zakat is levied on anything over that; according to how much of it there is as long as there continues to be a supply from the mine. If the vein runs out; and then after a while more becomes obtainable; the new supply is dealt with in the same way as the first; and payment of zakat on it is begun on it as it was begun on the first. Malik said; Mines are dealt with like crops; and the same procedure is applied to both. Zakat is deducted from what comes out of a mine on the day it comes out; without waiting for a year; just as a tenth is taken from a crop at the time it is harvested; without waiting for a year to elapse over it.The Chapter on Precious Metals And Zakat in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Faraid in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35937Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Salim Ibn Abdullah said; Abd AlMalik Ibn Marwan wrote to AlAlHajjaj Ibn Yousif telling him not to disagree with Abdullah Ibn Umar about anything to do with the hajj. Then; when the day of Arafa came Abdullah Ibn Umar went to him just after noon; and I went with him. He called out to him outside his tent; Where is this man? and a-lAlHajjaj came out to him; wearing a blanket dyed with safflower; and said to him; What up with you; Abu Abdulrahman He said; Hurry up; if you want to follow the sunna. AlAlHajjaj said; At this hour? and he said; Yes. AlAlHajjaj said; Wait until I have poured some water over myself; and then I will come out. So Abdullah dismounted and waited until AlAlHajjaj came out. He passed between me and my father and I said to him; If you want to accord with the sunna today; then make the khutba short; do not delay the prayer and do the prayer quickly. Then he began looking at Abdullah Ibn Umar to see if he would say the same thing; and when Abdullah saw that; he said; What Salim is saying is true. 20.64 Doing the Prayer at Mina on the Eighth Day of Dhu AlHijja; and the Jumua at Mina and ArafaThe Chapter on Throwing And Arafat And Mina in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik
