SahihAlBukhari-017-001-020Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ offered one of the evening prayers the sub-narrator Muhammad said; I think that it was most probably the Asr prayer and he finished it after offering two rakat only. He then stood near a price of wood in front of the Masjid and put his hand over it. Abu Bakr and Umar were amongst those who were present; but they dared not talk to him about that because of excessive respect for him ; and those who were in a hurry went out. They said; Has the prayer been reduced? A man who was called Dhu AlYadain by the Prophet ﷺ said to the Prophet ; Has the prayer been reduced or have you forgotten? He said; Neither have I forgotten; nor has the prayer been reduced. He said; Certainly you have forgotten. So the Prophet ﷺ offered two more rakat and performed Taslim and then said Takbir and performed a prostration of Sahu like his ordinary prostration or a bit longer and then raised his head and said Takbir and then put his head down and performed a prostration like his ordinary prostration or a bit longer; and then raised his head and said Takbir. The Chapter on The Format Of Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To say Takbir in the prostrations of Sahw in Sahih AlBukhari

Then they will go to Adam and say; O Adam! Dont you see the people people condition ? Allah created you with His Own Hands and ordered His angels to prostrate before you; and taught you the names of all the things. Please intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Adam will say; I am not fit for this undertaking and mention to them the mistakes he had committed; and add; But you d better go to Noah as he was the first Apostle sent by Allah to the people of the Earth. They will go to Jesus who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; but youd better go to Muhammad whose sins of the past and the future had been forgiven by Allah. So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my Lord; and I will be permitted to present myself before Him. When I see my Lord; I will fall down in prostration before Him and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then it will be said to me; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then raise my head and praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back again; and when I see my Lord again ; I will fall down in prostration before Him; and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then He will say; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. None remains in Hell Fire but those whom Quran has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell Fire has become inevitable. The Prophet ﷺ added; There will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a wheat grain. Then they will go to Adam and say; You are Adam; the father of the people. Allah created you with His Own Hand and made you reside in His Paradise and ordered His angels to prostrate before you; and taught you the names of all things will you intercede for us with your Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours? Adam will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. He will mention his mistakes he had committed; i.e.; his eating off the tree though he had been forbidden to do so. He will add; Go to Noah; the first prophet sent by Allah to the people of the Earth. The people will go to Noah who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking He will mention his mistake which he had done; i.e.; his asking his Lord without knowledge. He will say to them ; Go to Abraham; Khalil AlRahman. They will go to Abraham who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. He would mention three words by which he told a lie; and say to them. Go to Moses; a slave whom Allah gave the Torah and spoke to; directly and brought near Him; for conversation. They will go to Moses who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. He will mention his mistake he made; i.e.; killing a person; and will say to them ; Go to Jesus; Allah slave and His Apostle; and a soul created by Him and His Word. Be: And it was. They will go to Jesus who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking but youd better go to Muhammad the slave whose past and future sins have been forgiven by Allah. So they will come to me; and I will ask my Lord permission to enter His House and then I will be permitted. When I see Him I will fall down in prostration before Him; and He will leave me in prostration as long as He will; and then He will say; O Muhammad; lift up your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted; and ask for anything for it will be granted: Then I will raise my head and glorify my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me. Allah will put a limit for me to intercede for a certain type of people I will take them out and make them enter Paradise. Qatada said: I heard Anas saying that ; the Prophet ﷺ said; I will go out and take them out of Hell Fire and let them enter Paradise; and then I will return and ask my Lord for permission to enter His House and I will be permitted. When I will see Him I will fall down in prostration before Him and He will leave me in prostration as long as He will let me in that state ; and then He will say; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted; and ask; your request will be granted. The Prophet ﷺ added; So I will raise my head and glorify and praise Him as He has taught me. Then I will intercede and He will put a limit for me to intercede for a certain type of people. I will take them out and let them enter Paradise. Qatada added: I heard Anas saying that the Prophet said; I will go out and take them out of Hell Fire and let them enter Paradise; and I will return for the third time and will ask my Lord for permission to enter His house; and I will be allowed to enter. When I see Him; I will fall down in prostration before Him; and will remain in prostration as long as He will; and then He will say; Raise your head; O Muhammad; and speak; for you will be listened to; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted; and ask; for your request will be granted. So I will raise my head and praise Allah as He has taught me and then I will intercede and He will put a limit for me to intercede for a certain type of people. I will take them out and let them enter Paradise. Qatada said: I heard Anas saying that the Prophet ﷺ said; So I will go out and take them out of Hell Fire and let them enter Paradise; till none will remain in the Fire except those whom Quran will imprison i.e.; those who are destined for eternal life in the fire. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1141Narrated Mabad Bin Hilal AlAnzi: We; i.e.; some people from Basra gathered and went to Anas Bin Malik; and we went in company with Thabit AlBunnani so that he might ask him about the Hadith of Intercession on our behalf. Behold; Anas was in his palace; and our arrival coincided with his Duha prayer. We asked permission to enter and he admitted us while he was sitting on his bed. We said to Thabit; Do not ask him about anything else first but the Hadith of Intercession. He said; O Abu Hamza! There are your brethren from Basra coming to ask you about the Hadith of Intercession. Anas then said; Muhammad talked to us saying; On the Day of Resurrection the people will surge with each other like waves; and then they will come to Adam and say; Please intercede for us with your Lord. He will say; I am not fit for that but youd better go to Abraham as he is the Khalil of the Beneficent. They will go to Abraham and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Moses as he is the one to whom Allah spoke directly. So they will go to Moses and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Jesus as he is a soul created by Allah and His Word. Be: And it was they will go to Jesus and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Muhammad. They would come to me and I would say; I am for that. Then I will ask for my Lord permission; and it will be given; and then He will inspire me to praise Him with such praises as I do not know now. So I will praise Him with those praises and will fall down; prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for your will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! My followers! It will be said; Go and take out of it all those who have faith in their hearts equal to the weight of a small ant or a mustard seed. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down in prostration before Him. It will be said; O; Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! Then He will say; Go and take out all those in whose hearts there is faith even to the lightest; lightest mustard seed. Take them out of the Fire. I will go and do so. When we left Anas; I said to some of my companions; Let pass by AlHasan who is hiding himself in the house of Abi Khalifa and request him to tell us what Anas Bin Malik has told us. So we went to him and we greeted him and he admitted us. We said to him; O Abu Said! We came to you from your brother Anas Bin Malik and he related to us a Hadith about the intercession the like of which I have never heard. He said; What is that? Then we told him of the Hadith and said; He stopped at this point of the Hadith. He said; What then? We said; He did not add anything to that. He said; Anas related the Hadith to me twenty years ago when he was a young fellow. I dont know whether he forgot or if he did not like to let you depend on what he might have said. We said; O Abu Saeed ! Let us know that. He smiled and said; Man was created hasty. I did not mention that; but that I wanted to inform you of it. Anas told me the same as he told you and said that the Prophet ﷺ added; I then return for a fourth time and praise Him similarly and prostrate before Him me the same as he O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request : and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; allow me to intercede for whoever said; None has the right to be worshiped except Allah. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1678Narrated Samura Bin Jundub: Allah Messenger ﷺ very often used to ask his companions; Did anyone of you see a dream? So dreams would be narrated to him by those whom Allah wished to tell. One morning the Prophet ﷺ said; Last night two persons came to me in a dream and woke me up and said to me; Proceed! I set out with them and we came across a man lying down; and behold; another man was standing over his head; holding a big rock. Behold; he was throwing the rock at the man head; injuring it. The rock rolled away and the thrower followed it and took it back. By the time he reached the man; his head returned to the normal state. The thrower then did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions; Subhan Allah! Who are these two persons? They said; Proceed! So we proceeded and came to a man lying flat on his back and another man standing over his head with an iron hook; and behold; he would put the hook in one side of the man mouth and tear off that side of his face to the back of the neck and similarly tear his nose from front to back and his eye from front to back. Then he turned to the other side of the man face and did just as he had done with the other side. He hardly completed this side when the other side returned to its normal state. Then he returned to it to repeat what he had done before. I said to my two companions; Subhan Allah! Who are these two persons? They said to me; Proceed! So we proceeded and came across something like a Tannur a kind of baking oven; a pit usually clay-lined for baking bread. I think the Prophet ﷺ said; In that oven there was much noise and voices. The Prophet ﷺ added; We looked into it and found naked men and women; and behold; a flame of fire was reaching to them from underneath; and when it reached them; they cried loudly. I asked them; Who are these? They said to me; Proceed! And so we proceeded and came across a river. I think he said;.... red like blood. The Prophet ﷺ added; And behold; in the river there was a man swimming; and on the bank there was a man who had collected many stones. Behold; while the other man was swimming; he went near him. The former opened his mouth and the latter on the bank threw a stone into his mouth whereupon he went swimming again. He returned and every time the performance was repeated. I asked my two companions; Who are these two persons? They replied; Proceed! Proceed! And we proceeded till we came to a man with a repulsive appearance; the most repulsive appearance; you ever saw a man having! Beside him there was a fire and he was kindling it and running around it. I asked my companions; Who is this man ? They said to me; Proceed! Proceed! So we proceeded till we reached a garden of deep green dense vegetation; having all sorts of spring colors. In the midst of the garden there was a very tall man and I could hardly see his head because of his great height; and around him there were children in such a large number as I have never seen. I said to my companions; Who is this? They replied; Proceed! Proceed! So we proceeded till we came to a majestic huge garden; greater and better than I have ever seen! My two companions said to me; Go up and I went up. The Prophet ﷺ added; So we ascended till we reached a city built of gold and silver bricks and we went to its gate and asked the gatekeeper to open the gate; and it was opened and we entered the city and found in it; men with one side of their bodies as handsome as the handsomest person you have ever seen; and the other side as ugly as the ugliest person you have ever seen. My two companions ordered those men to throw themselves into the river. Behold; there was a river flowing across the city ; and its water was like milk in whiteness. Those men went and threw themselves in it and then returned to us after the ugliness of their bodies had disappeared and they became in the best shape. The Prophet ﷺ further added; My two companions angels said to me; This place is the Eden Paradise; and that is your place. I raised up my sight; and behold; there I saw a palace like a white cloud! My two companions said to me; That palace is your place. I said to them; May Allah bless you both! Let me enter it. They replied; As for now; you will not enter it; but you shall enter it one day. I said to them; I have seen many wonders tonight. What does all that mean which I have seen? They replied; We will inform you: As for the first man you came upon whose head was being injured with the rock; he is the symbol of the one who studies the Quran and then neither recites it nor acts on its orders; and sleeps; neglecting the enjoined prayers. As for the man you came upon whose sides of mouth; nostrils and eyes were torn off from front to back; he is the symbol of the man who goes out of his house in the morning and tells so many lies that it spreads all over the world. And those naked men and women whom you saw in a construction resembling an oven; they are the adulterers and the adulteresses. And the man whom you saw swimming in the river and given a stone to swallow; is the eater of usury Riba. And the bad looking man whom you saw near the fire kindling it and going round it; is Malik; the gatekeeper of Hell. And the tall man whom you saw in the garden; is Abraham and the children around him are those children who die with AlFitra the Islamic Faith. The narrator added: Some Muslims asked the Prophet; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What about the children of pagans? The Prophet ﷺ replied; And also the children of pagans. Abu Shihab the sub-narrator moved his hand over his nose in illustration. Ibn Masud added : Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a man who encamps at a place where his life is jeopardized; but he has his riding beast carrying his food and water. He then rests his head and sleeps for a short while and wakes to find his riding beast gone. He starts looking for it and suffers from severe heat and thirst or what Allah wished him to suffer from. Then one day he said; O Aisha! Do you know that Allah has advised me as to the problem I consulted Him about? Aisha said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What that? He said; Two men came to me and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet; and one of them asked his companion; What is wrong with this man? The latter replied; He is under the effect of magic. The former asked; Who has worked magic on him? The latter replied; Labid Bin AlAsam. The former asked; With what did he work the magic? The latter replied; With a comb and the hair; which are stuck to the comb; and the skin of pollen of a date-palm tree. The former asked; Where is that? The latter replied; It is in Dharwan. Dharwan was a well in the dwelling place of the tribe of Bani Zuraiq. Allah Messenger ﷺ went to that well and returned to Aisha; saying; By Allah; the water of the well was as red as the infusion of Hinna; 1 and the date-palm trees look like the heads of devils. Aisha added; Allah Messenger ﷺ came to me and informed me about the well. I asked the Prophet; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; why didnt you take out the skin of pollen? SahihMuslim-017-001-17914It has been reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit Umm Haram daughter of Milhan who was the sister of his foster-mother or his father aunt. She was the wife of Ubada Bin Samit; One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ paid her a visit. She entertained him with food and then sat down to rub his head. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dozed off and when he woke up after a while ; he was laughing. She asked: What made you laugh. Messenger of Allah? He said: Some people from my Umma were presented to me who were fighters in the way of Allah and were sailing in this sea. Gliding smoothly on the water ; they appeared to be kings or like kings sitting on thrones the narrator has a doubt about the actual expression used by the Holy Prophet. She said: Messenger of Allah; pray to Allah that He may include me among these warriors. He prayed for her. Then he placed his head down and dozed off again. He woke up laughing; as before. She said I said: Messenger of Allah; what makes you laugh? He replied: A people from my Umma were presented to me. They were fighters in Allah way. He described them in the same words as he had described the first warriors. She said: Messenger of Allah; pray to God that He may include me among these warriors. SahihMuslim-017-001-18051It has been narrated on the authority of Umar Bin AlKhattab who said: When it was the day on which the Battle of Badr was fought; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cast a glance at the infidels; and they were one thousand while his own Companions were three hundred and nineteen. The Prophet ﷺ turned his face towards the Qibla. Then he stretched his hands and began his supplication to his Lord: O Allah; accomplish for me what Thou hast promised to me. O Allah; bring about what Thou hast promised to me. O Allah; if this small band of Muslims is destroyed. Thou will not be worshipped on this earth. He continued his supplication to his Lord; stretching his hands; facing the Qibla; until his mantle slipped down from his shoulders. So Abu Bakr came to him; picked up his mantle and put it on his shoulders. Then he embraced him from behind and said: Prophet of Allah; this prayer of yours to your Lord will suffice you; and He will fulfill for you what He has promised you. So Allah; the Glorious and Exalted; revealed the Quranic verse : When ye appealed to your Lord for help; He responded to your call saying : I will help you with one thousand angels coming in succession. So Allah helped him with angels. Abu Zumail said that the hadith was narrated to him by Ibn Abbas who said: While on that day a Muslim was chasing a disbeliever who was going ahead of him; he heard over him the swishing of the whip and the voice of the rider saying: Go ahead; Haizum! He glanced at the polytheist who had now fallen down on his back. When he looked at him carefully he found that there was a scar on his nose and his face was torn as if it had been lashed with a whip; and had turned green with its poison. An Ansari came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and related this event to him. He said: You have told the truth. This was the help from the third heaven. The Muslims that day i.e. the day of the Battle of Badr killed seventy persons and captured seventy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Bakr and Umar Allah be pleased with them : What is your opinion about these captives? Abu Bakr said: They are our kith and kin. I think you should release them after getting from them a ransom. This will be a source of strength to us against the infidels. It is quite possible that Allah may guide them to Islam. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What is your opinion; Ibn AlKhattab? He said: Messenger of Allah; I do not hold the same opinion as Abu Bakr. I am of the opinion that you should hand them over to us so that we may cut off their heads. Hand over Aqil to Ali that he may cut off his head; and hand over such and such relative to me that I may cut off his head. They are leaders of the disbelievers and veterans among them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approved the opinion of Abu Bakr and did not approve what I said. The next day when I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; I found that both he and Abu Bakr were sitting shedding tears. I said: Messenger of Allah; why are you and your Companion shedding tears? Tell me the reason. For I will weep; or I will at least pretend to weep in sympathy with you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I weep for what has happened to your companions for taking ransom from the prisoners. I was shown the torture to which they were subjected. It was brought to me as close as this tree. He pointed to a tree close to him. Then God revealed the verse: It is not befitting for a prophet that he should take prisoners until the force of the disbelievers has been crushed... to the end of the verse: so eat ye the spoils of war; it is lawful and pure. So Allah made booty lawful for them. The Chapter on Almaghazi And Alansar in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 18 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18128It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will kill Kaab Bin Ashraf? He has maligned Allah; the Exalted; and His Messenger. Muhammad Bin Maslama said: Messenger of Allah; do you wish that I should kill him? He said: Yes. He said: Permit me to talk to him in the way I deem fit. He said: Talk as you like. So; Muhammad Bin Maslama came to Kaab and talked to him; referred to the old friendship between them and said: This man i. e. the Holy Prophet has made up his mind to collect charity from us and this has put us to a great hardship. When be heard this; Kaab said: By God; you will be put to more trouble by him. Muhammad Bin Maslama said: No doubt; now we have become his followers and we do not like to forsake him until we see what turn his affairs will take. I want that you should give me a loan. He said: What will you mortgage? He said: What do you want? He said: Pledge me your women. He said: You are the most handsome of the Arabs; should we pledge our women to you? He said: Pledge me your children. He said: The son of one of us may abuse us saying that he was pledged for two wasqs of dates; but we can pledge you cur weapons. He said: All right. Then Muhammad Bin Maslama promised that he would come to him with Harith; Abu Abs Bin Jabr and Abbad Bin Bishr. So they came and called upon him at night. He came down to them. Sufyan says that all the narrators except Amr have stated that his wife said: I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder. He said: It is only Muhammad Bin Maslama and his foster-brother; Abu Naila. When a gentleman is called at night even it to be pierced with a spear; he should respond to the call. Muhammad said to his companions: As he comes down; I will extend my hands towards his head and when I hold him fast; you should do your job. So when he came down and he was holding his cloak under his arm; they said to him: We sense from you a very fine smell. He said: Yes; I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia. He said: Allow me to smell the scent on your head. He said: Yes; you may smell. So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: Allow me to do so once again. He then held his head fast and said to his companions: Do your job. Abu Talha was a powerful archer who broke two or three bows that day. When a man would pass by carrying a quiver containing arrows; he would say: Spare them for Abu Talha. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ raised his head to look at the people; Abu Talha would say: Prophet of Allah; may my father and my mother be thy ransom; do not raise your head lest you be struck by an arrow shot by the enemy. My neck is before your neck. The narrator said: I saw Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Umm Sulaim. Both of them had tucked up their garments; so I could see the anklets on their feet. They were carrying water-skins on their backs and would pour water into the mouths of the people. They would then go back to the well ; would fill them again and would return to pour water into the mouths of the soldiers. They would get a Divine inspiration about it; and would say: If we could seek intercession with our Lord; we may be relieved from this predicament of ours. He the Holy Prophet said: They would come to Adam andsay; Thou art Adam; the father of mankind. Allah created thee with His own hand and breathed unto thee of His Spirit and commanded the angels and they prostrated before thee. So intercede for us with thy Lords; that He may relieve us from this position of ours. He would say: I am not in a position to do this; and would recall his error; and would fight shy of his Lord on account of that; go to Noah the first messenger after me sent by Allah. He the Holy Prophet said: So they would come to Noah ﷺ. He would say: I am not in a position to do that for you; and recall his fault which he had committed; and would fight shy of his Lord on account of that; and would say : You better go to Ibrahim ﷺ whom Allah took for a friend. They would come to Ibrahim ﷺ and he would say: I am not in a position to do that for you; and would recall his fault that he had committed and would; therefore; fight shy of his Lord on that account and would say : You better go to Moses ﷺ with whom Allah conversed and con- ferred Torah upon him. He the Holy Prophet said: So they would come to Moses ﷺ He would say: I am not in a position to do that for you; and would recall his fault that he had committed and would fight shy of his Lord on account of that and would say : You better go to Jesus; the Spirit of Allah and His word He would say: I am not in a position to do that for you; you better go to Muhammad ﷺ ; a servant whose former and later sins have been forgiven. He the narrator said: The Messenger or Allah ﷺ observed: So they would come to me and I would ask the permission of my Lord and it would be granted to me; and when I would see Him; I would fall down in prostration; and He Allah would leave me thus as long as He would wish; and then it would be said: O Muhammad; raise your head; say and you would be heard; ask and it would be granted; intercede and intercession would be accepted. Then I would raise my head and extrol my Lord with the praise which my Lord would teach me. I shall then inter- cede; but a limit would be set for me I would bring them out from the Fire and make them enter Paradise according to the limit. I shall return then ard fall down in pros- tration and Allah would leave me in that position as long as He would wish to leave me it would be said: Rise; O Muhammad; say and you would be heard; ask and it would be conferred; intercede and intercession would be granted. I would raise my head and extrol my Lord with praise that He would teach me. I would theft intercede and a limit would be set for me. I would bring them out of the Fire of Hell and make them enter Paradise. He the narrator said: I do not remember whether he the Holy Prophet said at tLe third time or at the fourth time: O my Lord; none has been left in the Fire; but thise restrained by the Holy Quran; i e. those who were eternally doomed. Ibn Ubaid said in a narration: Qatada observed: whose everlasting stay was imperative. The Chapter on Allah And Prophets Praise And Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18769Mabad Bin Hilal AlAnazi reported: We went to Anas Bin Malik through Thabit and reached there his house while he was offering the forenoon prayer. Thabit sought permission for us and we entered; and he seated Thabit with him on his bedstead. He Thabit said to him Anas Bin Malik : O Abu Hamza kunya of Anas Bin Malik ; your brothers from among the inhabitants of Basra ask you to narrate to them the hadith of intercession. He said: Muhammad ﷺ narrated to us: When it would be the Day of Resurrection; some of the people would rush to one another in bewilderment. They would come to Adam and say: Intercede with your Lord for your progeny. He would say: I am not fit to do this; but go to Ibrabim ﷺ for he is the Friend of Allah. They would come to Ibrahim; but he would say: I am not fit to do this; but go to Moses; for he is Allah Interlocutor. They would come to Moses; but he would say: I am not fit to do this; but you should go to Jesus; for he is the Spirit of Allah and His word. They would come to Jesus; and he would say; I am not fit to do this; you better go to Muhammad ﷺ. They would come to me; and I would say: I am in a position to do that; I would go and ask the permission of my Lord and it would be granted to me. I would then stand before Him and would extol Him with praises which I am not able to do now; but with which Allah would inspire me; then I would fall in prostration and it would be said to me: O Muhammad; raise thy head; and say and it would be listened to; ask and it would be granted; intercede and it would be accepted. I shall say: My Lord; my people; my people It would be said: Go; and bring forth from it Hell him who has in his heart faith equal to the weight of a wheat grain or a barley seed. I would go and do that; then I would return to my Lord and extol Him with those praises taught to me by Allah ; then I would fall in prostration. It would be said to me: O Muhammad; raise your head; and say and it would be heard; ask and it would be granted; intercede and intercession would be accepted. So I would say: My people. my people. It would be said to me: Go and take out from it Hell him who has in his heart faith equal to the weight of a mustard seed. I would go and do that. I would again return to my Lord and extol Him with those praises. I would then fall in prostration. It would be said to me: O Muhammad; raisevour head: say; and you would be listened to; ask and it would be granted; intercede and intercession would be accepted. I would say: My Lord; my people; my people. It would be said to me: Go; and bring out of the Fire him who has in his heart as much faith as the smallest; smallest; smallest grain of mustard seed. I would go and do that. This is the hadith which Anas narrated to us. We went out of his house and when we reached the upper part of Jabban graveyard we said: Would that we meetHassan and salute him and he was hiding in the house of Abu Khalifa. He Mabad Bin Hilal; the narrator said: We went to him and greeted him and we said: O Abu Said; we come from your brother Abu Hamza kunya of Anas ; and we have never heard a hadith like this relating to intercession; which he has narrated to us. He said: Narrate it; we narrated the hadith. He said: Narrate it still further. We said: He did not narrate it before us more than this. He said: He Anas had narrated it to us twenty years back; when he was strong and healthy. He has in fact missed something. I cannot make out whether the old man has forgotten or he has intentionally avoided to narrate it to you lest you should rely absolutely upon it and abandon doing good deeds. We said to him: Relate that to us; and he laughed and said: There is haste in the nature of man. I did not make mention of it to you but for the fact that I wanted to narrate that to you and added that the Prophet said : I would then return to my Lord for the fourth time and extol Him with these praises. I would then fall in prostration. It would be said to me: O Muhammad; raise your head: say and it will be listened to; ask and it will be granted; intercede and intercession would be accepted. I would say: O my Lord; permit me regarding him who professed: There is no god but Allah. He the Lord would say: That is not for thee or that is not what lies with thee; but by My Honour; Glory; Greatness and Might; I would certainly take him out who professed it: There is no god but Allah. He the narrator; Mabad said: I hear testimony to the fact that the hadith transmitted to us-byHassan was heard by him from Anas Bin Malik and I can see that he reported it twenty years back; when he was hale and hearty. The Chapter on Allah And Prophets Jesus And Alkhalil in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-19240AlNawas Bin Saman reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ made a mention of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He ﷺ sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described his turmoil as very significant and we felt as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him to the Holy Prophet in the evening and he read the signs of fear in our faces; he ﷺ said: What is the matter with you? We said: Allah Messenger; you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning sometimes describing him to be insignificant and sometimes very important; until we began to think as if he were present in some near part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he ﷺ said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you; I shall contend with him on your behalf; but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you; a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah would take care of every Muslim on my behalf and safeguard him against his evil. He Dajjal would be a young man with twisted; contracted hair; and a blind eye. I compare him to Abd AlUzza Bin Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surat Kahf xviii. He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! adhere to the path of Truth. We said: Allah Messenger; how long would he stay on the earth? He ﷺ said: For forty days; one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: Allah Messenger; would one day prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he ﷺ said: No; but you must make an estimate of time and then observe prayer. We said: Allah Messenger; how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he ﷺ said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them to a wrong religion and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening; their pasturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures; and the treasures would come out and collect themselves before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally between the archer and his target. He would then call that young man and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming with happiness and it would be at this very time that Allah would send Christ; son of Mary; and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he would lower his head; there would fall beads of perspiration from his head; and when he would raise it up; beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him Dajjal until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom Allah had protected would come to Jesus; son of Mary; and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that Allah would reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur. And then Allah would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass; he would say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions would then be besieged here at Tur; and they would be so much hard pressed that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred dinars and Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would supplicate Allah; Who would send to them insects which would attack their necks and in the morning they would perish like one single person. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then again beseech Allah; Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where God would will. Then Allah would send rain which no house of clay or the tent of camels hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and; as a result thereof; there would grow such a big pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that; and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such a large quantity of milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe people even under their armpits; and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them. The Chapter on Rain And Clouds Earth And Aldajjal in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 20 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-19244Abu Saeed AlKhudri reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: The Dajjal would come forth and a person from amongst the believers would go towards him and the armed men of the Dajjal would meet him and they would say to him: Where do you intend to go? He would say: I intend to go to this one who is coming forth. They would say to him: Dont you believe in our Lord? He would say: There is nothing hidden about our Lord. They would say: Kill him. Then some amongst them would say: Has your master Dajjal not forbidden you to kill anyone without his consent ? And so they would take him to the Dajjal and when the believer would see him; he would say: O people. he is the Dajjil about whom Allah Messenger ﷺ has informed us. The Dajjal would then order for breaking his head and utter these words : Catch hold of him and break his head. He would be struck even on his back and on his stomach. Then the Dajjal would ask him: Dont you believe in me? He would say: You are a false Masih. He would then order him to be torn into pieces with a saw from the parting of his hair up to his legs. After that the Dajjal would walk between the two pieces. He would then say to him: Stand; and he would stand erect. He would then say to him: Dont you believe in me? And the person would say: It has only added to my insight concerning you that you are really the Dajjal. He would then say: O people; he would not behave with anyone amongst people in such a manner after me. The Dajjal would try to catch hold of him so that he should kill him again. The space between his neck and collar bone would be turned into copper and he would find no means to kill him. So he would catch hold of him by his hand and feet and throw him into the air and the people would think as if he had been thrown in the Hell-Fire whereas he would be thrown in Paradise. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: He would be the most eminent amongst persons in regard to martyrdom in the eye of the Lord of the world. The Chapter on Games And Hunting And Aldajjal in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 21 in Sahih Muslim

He said: Yes He gave him his donkey and said: Ride it; and tie the turban round your head. Some of his companions said: May Allah pardon you; you gave to this desert Arab the donkey on which you enjoyed ride for diversion and the turban which you tied round your. head. She add: As I was one day carrying the atones of dates upon my head I happened to meet Allah Messenger ﷺ along with a group of his Companions. This state of affairs lasted until one day or during one night Allah Messenger ﷺ made supplication to dispel its effects. He again made a supplication and he again did this and said to Aisha: Do you know that Allah has told me what I had asked Him? There came to me two men and one amongst them sat near my head and the other one near my feet and he who sat near my head said to one who sat near my feet or one who sat near my feet said to one who sat near my head: What is the trouble with the man? He said: The spell has affected him. He said: Who has cast that? He the other one said: It was Labid Bin Asam who has done it. He said: What is the thing by which he transmitted its effect? He said: By the comb and by the hair stuck to the comb and the spathe of the date-palm. He said: Where is that? He replied: In the well of Dhi Arwan. She said: Allah Messenger ﷺ sent some of the persons from among his Companions there and then said: Aisha; by Allah; its water was yellow like henna and its trees were like heads of the devils. She said that she asked Allah Messenger ﷺ as to why he did not burn that. He said: A man from the Ansar raised his hand and struck him in his face. He said You say this while Allah Prophet ﷺ is among us? So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said And the Trumpet will be blown; and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away; except him whom Allah wills. Then it will blown another time and behold; they will be standing; looking on 39:68. So I shall be the first to raise his head and there will be Mousa holding on to one of the supports of the Throne. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10190Zaid Bin Arqam said: We were participating in a battle along with the Messenger of Allah; and there were some people from the Bedouins with us. So we all rushed toward some water and the Bedouins raced us to it. One of the Bedouins beat his companions to it and he tried to obstruct the pond; he placed rocks around it and he put a leather sheet over it until his companions came. He said: A man among the Ansar reached the Bedouin and he dropped the reigns of his camel to drink; but the Bedouin would not allow him. So he started removing the barriers around the water; but the Bedouin raised a stick beating the Ansari man on the head; and smashed it. He went to Abdullah Bin Ubay; the head of the hypocrite; to inform him he was in fact one of his companions. So Abdullah Bin Ubay became enraged; the he said: Do not spend anything on whoever is with Muhammad until they depart. Meaning the Bedouins. They were preparing food for the Messenger of Allah. So Abdullah said: When they depart from Muhammad; then bring Muhammad some food; and let him and whoever is with him eat it. Then he said to his companions: If we return to AlMadinah; indeed the more honorable will expel therefrom the meaner. Zaid said: And I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah; and I had heard Abdullah Bin Ubay; so I informed my uncle who went to tell the Messenger of Allah. He sent a message to him Abdullah but he took an oath and denied it. He said: So the Messenger of Allah accepted what he said and did not believe me. So my uncle came to me and said: You only wanted the Messenger of Allah to hate you; and the Muslims to say that you lied. He said: I suffered such worry as has not been suffered by anyone else. He said: Later while I was on the move with the Messenger of Allah on a journey; my mind was relieved of worry; since the Messenger of Allah came to me and rubbed my ear and smiled in my face. I would never be happier than with that as long as the world remained. Then Abu Bakr caught up to me; and said: What did the Messenger of Allah say to you? I said: He did not say anything to me; he only rubbed my ear and smiled in my face. He said: Receive the good news! Then Umar caught up with me and I said the same to him as I had said to Abu Bakr. She said Whenever she would enter upon the Prophet ﷺ he would stand to her and kiss her; and he would sit her in his sitting place. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her she would stand from her seat; and kiss him and sit him in her sitting place. So when the Prophet ﷺ fell sick and Fatimah entered; she bent over and kissed him. Then she lifted her head and cried; then she bent over him and she lifted her head and laughed. So I said: I used to think that this one was from the most intelligent of our women; but she is really just one of the women. So when the Prophet ﷺ died; I said to her: Do you remember when you bent over the Prophet ﷺ and you lifted your head and cried; then you bent over him; then you lifted your head and laughed. What caused you to do that? She said: Then; I would be the one who spreads the secrets. He ﷺ told me that he was to die from his illness; so I cried. He said : Urwah Bin Masud then came to him and began to speak to the Prophet ﷺ. Whenever he talk to him; he caught his beard ; and AlMughirah Bin Shubah was standing near the head of the Prophet ﷺ with a sword with him and a helmet on him. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25970Narrated AlBara Ibn Azib: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanying the bier of a man of the Ansar. When we reached his grave; it was not yet dug. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and we also sat down around him as if birds were over our heads. He had in his hand a stick with which he was scratching the ground. He then raised his head and said: Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. He said it twice or thrice. The version of Jabir adds here: He hears the beat of their sandals when they go back; and at that moment he is asked: O so and so! Who is your Lord; what is your religion; and who is your Prophet? Hannad version says: Two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: My Lord is Allah. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: My religion is Islam. They will ask him: What is your opinion about the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They will ask: Who made you aware of this? He will reply: I read Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm in this world and the next. The agreed version reads: Then a crier will call from Heaven: My servant has spoken the truth; so spread a bed for him from Paradise; clothe him from Paradise; and open a door for him into Paradise. So some of its air and perfume will come to him; and a space will be made for him as far as the eye can see. He also mentioned the death of the infidel; saying: His spirit will be restored to his body; two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask: Who was the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. Then a crier will call from Heaven: He has lied; so spread a bed for him from Hell; clothe him from Hell; and open for him a door into Hell. Then some of its heat and pestilential wind will come to him; and his grave will be compressed; so that his ribs will be crushed together. Jabir version adds: One who is blind and dumb will then be placed in charge of him; having a sledge-hammer such that if a mountain were struck with it; it would become dust. He will give him a blow with it which will be heard by everything between the east and the west except by men and jinn; and he will become dust. Then his spirit will be restored to him.The Chapter on Mercy And Angels in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Questioning And Punishment In The Grave in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26264Abdulrahman AlTamiI reported: Ibn Abi Mulaikah was asked about ablution. He said : I saw Uthman Bin Affan who was asked about ablution. He called for water. A vessel was then brought to him. He inclined it towords his right hand poured water upon it. He then put it in the water three times; and washed his face three times. He then put his hand in the water and took it out; then he wiped his head and ears; in and out only once. He then washed his feet; and said : Where are those who asked me to perform ablution? I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution like that. Abu Dawud said : All the sound traditions narrated by Uthman indicated that the head is to be wiped once; because they mentioned the washing of each part in ablution three times. In their versions of tradition they mentioned the wordings: he wiped his head. In this case they did not mention any number as they did in other cases. The Chapter on Ablution Of The Foot in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Manner of The Prophet Wudu in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26273IbnAbbas said: Ali Bin Abi Talib entered upon me after he has passed water. He then called for water for ablution. We brought to him a vessel containing water; and placed it before him. He said: O IbnAbbas; may I not show you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution? I replied : Why not? He then inclined the vessel to his hand and washed it. He then put his right hand in the vessel and poured water over the other hand and washed his hands up to the wrist. He then rinsed his mouth and snuffed up water. He then put both of his hands together in the water and took out a handful of water and threw it upon the face. He then inserted both of his thumbs in the front part of the ears. He did like that twice and thrice. He then took a handful of water and poured it over his forehead and left it running down his face. He then washed his forearms up to the elbow three times. He then wiped his head and the back of his ears. He then put both of his hands together in the water and took a handful of it and threw it on his foot. He had a shoe foot like that. Do you wash your foot while it is in the shoe? He replied : Yes; while it is in the shoe. This question and answer were repeated thrice. Abu Dawud said: The version transmitted by Ibn Juraij from Shaibah is similar to the one narrated by Ali. In this version AlHajjaj reported on the authority of Ibn Juraij the wording: He wiped his head once. Ibn Wahb narrated from Ibn Juraij the wording: he wiped his head three times. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene Ablution in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Manner of The Prophet Wudu in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-34301Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham Ibn Urwa from Fatima bint AlMundhir that Asma bint Abi Bakr AlSiddiq said; I went to Aisha; the wife of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; during an eclipse of the sun; and everybody was standing in prayer; and she too was standing praying. I said; What is everybody doing? She pointed towards the sky with her hand and said; Glory be to Allah. I said; A sign? She nodded Yes with her head. She continued; I stood until I had almost fainted; and I began to pour water over my head. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; praised Allah and spoke well of Him; and then said; There is nothing which I had previously not seen beforehand that I have not now seen while standing - even the Garden and the Fire. It has been revealed to me that you will be tried in your graves with a trial; like; or near to; the trial of the Dajjal I do not know which one Asma said. Every one of you will have someone who comes to him and asks him; What do you know about this man? A mumin; or one who has certainty muqin I do not know which one Asma said ; will say; He is Muhammad; the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; who came to us with clear proofs and guidance; and we answered and believed and followed. He will then be told; Sleep in a good state. We know now that you were a mumin. A hypocrite; however; or one who has doubts l do not know which one Asma said ; will say; I do not know; I heard everybody saying something and I said it.The Chapter on The Format Of Prostration in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34856Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya Ibn Said heard Sulayman Ibn Yasar mention that a face wound in which the bone was bared was like a head wound in which the bone was bared; unless the face was scarred by the wound. Then the blood-money is increased by one half of the blood-money of the head wound in which the skin was bared so that seventy five dinars are payable for it. Malik said; What is done in our community is that the head wound with splinters has fifteen camels. He explained; The head wound with splinters is that from which pieces of bone fly off and which does not reach the brain. It can be in the head or the face. Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things in our community; is that there is no retaliation for a wound to the brain or a belly wound; and Ibn Shihab has said; There is no retaliation for a wound to the brain. Malik explained; The wound to the brain is what pierces the bones to the brain. This type of wound only occurs in the head. It is that which reaches the brain when the bones are pierced. Malik said; What is done in our community is that there is no blood-money paid on any head wound less than one which lays bare the skull. Blood-money is payable only for the head wound that bares the bone and what is worse than that. That is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; stopped at the head wound which bared the bone in his letter to Amr Ibn Hazm. He made it five camels. The imams; past and present; have not made any blood- money payable for injuries less than the head wound which bares the bone. The Chapter on Wounds In Crimes And Felonies in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34858Malik related to me; Ibn Shihab did not think and nor do I; that there is a generally agreed on way of doing things regarding a piercing wound in any of the organs or limbs of the body; but I think that there is ijtihad in the case. The imam uses ijtihad in it; and there is no generally agreed on way of doing things in our community about it. Malik said; What is done in our community about the wound to the brain and the wound which splinters the bone; and the wound that bares the bone is that they apply only to the head and face. Whatever of that occurs in the body only has ijtihad in it. Malik said; I do not think the lower jaw and the nose are part of the head in their injury because they are separate bones; and except for them the head is one bone. The Chapter on Wounds In Crimes And Felonies in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34867Malik related to me that he had heard that Marwan Ibn AlHakam gave a decision about a slave who was injured that the person who injured him had to pay what he had diminished of the value of the slave. Malik said; What is done in our community is that for the head wound of a slave that bares the bone; there is a twentieth of his price. The head wound which splinters the bone is three twentieths of his price. Both the wound to the brain and the belly wound are a third of his price. Besides these four; any other types of injury that decrease the price of the slave are considered after the slave is better and well; and one sees what the value of the slave is after his injury and what his value whole was before he had the injury. Then the one who injured him pays the difference between the two values. The Chapter on Injury In Crimes And Felonies in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34869Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said that Sulayman Ibn Yasar said; The blood-money of a magian is eight hundred dirhams. Malik said; This is what is done in our community. Malik said; The blood-monies of the jew; christian; and magian in their injuries; is according to the injury of the muslims in their blood-moneys. The head wound is a twentieth of his full blood-money. The wound that opens the head is a third of his blood-money. The belly-wound is a third of his blood-money. All their injuries are according to this calculation. The Chapter on Wounds In Crimes And Felonies in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35378Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that one time Abdullah Ibn Umar wanted to sacrifice an animal at Madina. Nafi said; He told me to buy him an excellent horned ram; then to sacrifice it on the Day of Sacrifice in the place where the people prayed. Nafi continued; I did so and when the ram was sacrificed; it was carried to Abdullah Ibn Umar who shaved his head. He was ill; and did not attend the Id with the people. Ibn Umar would do so however. The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Shaving The Head In Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jihad in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35570Yahya related to me from Malik that he had read what Umar Ibn AlKhattab had written about zakat; and in it he found: In the name of Allah; the Merciful; the ompassionate. The Book of Zakat. On twenty-four camels or less zakat is paid with sheep; one ewe for every five camels. On anything above that; up to thirty-five camels; a camel in its second year; and; if there is no she camel in its second year; a male camel in its third year. On anything above that; up to forty-five camels; a camel in its third year. On anything above that; up to sixty camels; a she camel in its fourth year that is ready to be sired. On anything above that; up to seventy-five camels; a camel in its fifth year. On anything above that; up to ninety camels; two camels in their third year. On anything above that; up to one hundred and twenty camels; two camels in their fourth year that are ready to be sired. On any number of camels above that; for every forty camels; a camel in its third year; and for every fifty; a camel in its fourth year. On grazing sheep and goats; if they come to forty or more; up to one hundred and twenty head; one ewe. On anything above that; up to two hundred head; two ewes. On anything above that; up to three hundred; three ewes. On anything above that; for every hundred; one ewe. A ram should not be taken for zakat. nor an old or an injured ewe; except as the zakat-collector thinks fit. Those separated should not be gathered together nor should those gathered together be separated in order to avoid paying zakat. MuwataMalik-017-001-35678Yahya related to me from Malik from Makhrama Ibn Sulayman from Kurayb; the mawla of Ibn Abbas; that Abdullah Ibn Abbas told him that he had spent a night at the house of Maimuna; the wife of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; who was also Ibn Abbas mother sister. Ibn Abbas said; I lay down with my head on the breadth of the cushion; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and his wife lay down with their heads on its length. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; slept; until; halfway through the night or a little before or after it; he awoke and sat up and wiped the sleep away from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten ayats of Surat Ali Imran Sura3. Then he got up and went over to a water-skin which was hanging up and did Ablution from it; doing his Ablution thoroughly; and then he stood in prayer. Ibn Abbas continued; I stood up and did the same and then went and stood by his side. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; put his right hand on my head and took my right ear and tweaked it. He prayed two rakas; then two rakas; then two rakas; then two rakas; then two rakas; then two rakas; and then prayed an odd raka. MuwataMalik-017-001-35735Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam from Ibrahim Ibn Abdullah Ibn Hunayn from his father Abdullah Ibn Hunayn that Abdullah Ibn Abbas and AlMiswar Ibn Makhrama once had a disagreement at AlAbwa. Abdullah said that some one in ihram could wash his head; and AlMiswar Ibn Makhrama maintained that some one in ihram could not wash his head. Abdullah Ibn Hunayn continued; Abdullah Ibn Abbas sent me to Abu Ayoub AlAnsari; and I found him doing ghusl between the posts of a well; screened by a garment. I greeted him and hesaid; Who is that? I replied; I am Abdullah Ibn Hunayn. Abdullah Ibn Abbas sent me to you to ask how the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to wash his head when he was in ihram. He continued; Abu Ayoub put his hand on the garment and pulled it down until I could see his head. He said to the man who was pouring out the water for him; Pour; and he poured some over his head. MuwataMalik-017-001-35738Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah Ibn Umar would never wash his head while he was in ihram except if he had to do ghusl because of a wet dream. Malik said; I have heard the people of knowledge say that there is no harm in someone who is in ihram rubbing his head with certain kinds of plants after he has stoned the Jamrat AlAqaba but before he has shaved his head; because once he has finished stoning the Jamrat AlAqaba it is halal for him to kill lice; to shave his head; to clean himself of body hair; and to wear normal clothes. The Chapter on Ablution Hand Head Foot And Forearm in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hajj in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35831Yahya related to me that Malik said; Someone whose passage to the House is blocked by an enemy is freed from every restriction of ihram; and should sacrifice his animal and shave his head wherever he has been detained; and there is nothing for him to make up afterwards. Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that when the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and his companions came out of ihram at AlHudaybiya they sacrificed their sacrificial animals and shaved their heads; and were freed from all the restrictions of ihram without having done tawaf of the House and without their sacrificial animals reaching the Kaba. There is nothing known about the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; ever telling any of his companions; or anybody else that was with him; to make up for anything they had missed or to go back to doing anything they had not finished doing. The Chapter on The Kabbah In Alahjj in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hajj in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35908Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Yaqub Ibn Khalid AlMakhzumi that Abu Asma; the mawla of Abdullah Ibn Jafar; told him that he was with Abdullah Ibn Jafar when they set out once from Madina. At AlSuqya they passed by Husayn Ibn Ali; who was ill at the time. Abdullah Ibn Jafar stayed with him and then; when he feared that he was late for the hajj he left; and sent for Ali Ibn Abi Talib and Asma bint Umays in Madina; and they came to Husayn. Then Husayn pointed to his head; and AIi told someone to shave his head. Then he sacrificed an animal for him at AlSuqya; killing a camel for him. MuwataMalik-017-001-35926Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham Ibn Urwa that his father used to kill his sacrificial animals while they were standing. Malik said; No-one is permitted to shave his head until he has killed his sacrificial animal; and no-one must sacrifice before dawn on the day of sacrifice. The things that should be done on the day of sacrifice are slaughtering; donning clothes; grooming the body generally AlTafath and shaving the head; and none of this may be done before the day of sacrifice. The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Shaving The Head In Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35928Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdulrahman Ibn AlQasim that his father used to go into Makka by night when he was doing umra and do tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa and delay the shaving until the morning; but he would not go back to the House and do tawaf again until he had shaved his head. Abdulrahman added; Sometimes he would enter the Masjid and do the witr prayer there without actually going near the House. Malik said; AlTafath is shaving the head; putting on normal clothes and things of that nature. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether a man who forgot to shave his head at Mina during the hajj could shave in Makka; and he said; That is permissible; but I prefer the shaving to be done at Mina. Malik said; What we are all agreed upon here in Madina is that no-one should shave his head or cut his hair until he has killed his sacrificial animal; if he has one; and things that are haram for him do not become halal for him until he leaves ihram at Mina on the day of sacrifice. This is because Allah; the Blessed and Exalted; says; Do not shave yourheads until the sacrificial animal has reached its destination. The Chapter on Shaving The Head And Aljamarat in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik

If you do any of those it will be enough for you.The Chapter on Peace And Satan in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Fasting in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35982Yahya related to me from Malik that Ata Ibn Abdullah AlKhurasani said that an old man from Suq AlBuram in Kufa had related to him that Kaab Ibn Ujra said; The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; came to me while I was blowing under a cooking pot belonging to my companions and my head and beard were full of lice. He took my forehead and said; Shave your hair and fast three days or feed six poor people. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was aware that I did not have anything with me to sacrifice. Malik said; concerning paying compensation fidya for the relief of physical discomfort; The custom concerning it is that no one pays compensation until he has done something which makes it obligatory to pay compensation just as making amends kaffara is only done when it has become obligatory for the one who owes it. The person can pay the compensation wherever he wishes; regardless of whether he has to sacrifice an animal or fast or give sadaqa - in Makka or in any other town. Malik said; It is not correct for a person in ihram to pluck out any of his hair or to shave it or cut it until he has left ihram; unless he is suffering from an ailment of the head; in which case he owes the compensation Allah the Exalted has ordered. It is not correct for a person in ihram to cut his nails; or to kill his lice; or to remove them from his head or from his skin or his garment to the ground. If a person in ihram removes lice from his skin or his garment; he must give away the quantity of food that he can scoop up with both hands. Malik said;Anyone who; while in ihram; plucks out hairs from his nose or armpit or rubs his body with a depilatory agent or shaves the hair from around a head wound out of necessity or shaves his neck for the place of the cupping glasses; regardless of whether it is in forgetfulness or in ignorance; owes compensation in all these instances; and he must not shave the place of the cupping glasses. Malik said; concerning someone who forgot and raised his head before the imam in ruku or sujud; The sunna of that is to return to bowing or prostrating and not to wait for the imam to come up. What he has done is a mistake; because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; The imam is appointed to be followed as a leader; so do not oppose him.
