It was said; What are the blessings of this world? The Prophet ﷺ said; The pleasures of the world. A man said; Can the good bring forth evil? The Prophet ﷺ kept quiet for a while till we thought that he was being inspired divinely. Then he started removing the sweat from his forehead and said; Where is the questioner? That man said; I am present. Abu Saeed added: We thanked the man when the result of his question was such. The Prophet ﷺ said; Good never brings forth but good. This wealth of the world is like green and sweet fruit ; and all the vegetation which grows on the bank of a stream either kills or nearly kills the animal that eats too much of it; except the animal that eats the Khadira a kind of vegetation. Such an animal eats till its stomach is full and then it faces the sun and starts ruminating and then it passes out dung and urine and goes to eat again. This worldly wealth is like sweet fruit ; and if a person earns it the wealth in a legal way and spends it properly; then it is an excellent helper; and whoever earns it in an illegal way; he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied. She said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! You know the position of Haritha in my heart i.e. how dear to me he was ; so if he is in Paradise; I will not weep for him; or otherwise; you will see what I will do. The Prophet added; A forenoon journey or an after noon journey in Allah Cause is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and a place equal to an arrow bow of anyone of you; or a place equal to a foot in Paradise is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth; she would fill the whole space between them the earth and the heaven with light; and would fill whatever is in between them; with perfume; and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2271		Narrated Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ said; I know the person who will be the last to come out of the Hell Fire; and the last to enter Paradise. He will go to it; but he will imagine that it had been filled; and then he will return and say; O Lord; I have found it full. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6895		Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: During the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ some people said; : O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Similarly you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection; a call-maker will announce; Let every nation follow that which they used to worship. Then none of those who used to worship anything other than Allah like idols and other deities but will fall in Hell Fire ; till there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah; both those who were obedient i.e. good and those who were disobedient i.e. bad and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Ezra; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son. What do you want now? They will say; O our Lord! We are thirsty; so give us something to drink. They will be directed and addressed thus; Will you drink; whereupon they will be gathered unto Hell Fire which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. Afterwards the Christians will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Jesus; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son; Then it will be said to them; What do you want? They will say what the former people have said. Then; when there remain in the gathering none but those who used to worship Allah Alone; the real Lord of the Worlds whether they were obedient or disobedient. Then Allah the Lord of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about Him. It will be said; What are you waiting for? Every nation have followed what they used to worship. They will reply; We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. Now we are waiting for our Lord Whom we used to worship. Allah will say; I am your Lord. They will say twice or thrice; We do not worship any besides Allah. They said; Something has intervened between us and the news of the Heaven; and fires flames have been shot at us. Their fellow-devils said; Nothing has intervened between you and the news of the Heaven; but an important event has happened. Therefore; travel all over the world; east and west; and try to find out what has happened. And so they set out and travelled all over the world; east and west; looking for that thing which intervened between them and the news of the Heaven. Those of the devils who had set out towards Tihama; went to Allah Messenger ﷺ at Nakhla a place between Mecca and Taif while he was on his way to Ukaz Market. They met him while he was offering the Fajr prayer with his companions. When they heard the Holy Quran being recited by Allah Messenger ﷺ ; they listened to it and said to each other. This is the thing which has intervened between you and the news of the Heavens. Then they returned to their people and said; O our people! We have really heard a wonderful recital Quran. It gives guidance to the right; and we have believed therein. We shall not join in worship; anybody with our Lord. I said to myself; Why is this Sheikh weeping; if Allah gave choice to one of His slaves either to choose this world or what is with Him in the Here after and he chose the latter? And that slave was Allah Messenger ﷺ himself. Abu Bakr knew more than us. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Abu Bakr! Dont weep. The Prophet ﷺ added: Abu Bakr has favored me much with his property and company. If I were to take a Khalil from mankind I would certainly have taken Abu Bakr but the Islamic brotherhood and friendship is sufficient. Close all the gates in the Masjid except that of Abu Bakr. I said: Of course; it is something which is predetermined for them and preordained for them. He further said: Then; would it not be an injustice to punish them ? He would not be questioned as to what He does; but they would be questioned; thereupon he said to me: May Allah have mercy upon you; I did not mean to ask you but for testing your intelligence. Two men of the tribe of Muzaina came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion that the people do in the world and strive for; is something decreed for them; something preordained for them and will their fate in the Hereafter be determined by the fact that their Prophets brought them teachings which they did not act upon. and thus they became deserving of punishment? Thereupon; he said: Of course; it happens as it is decreed by Destiny and preordained for them; and this view is confirmed by this verse of the Book of Allah; the Exalted and Glorious: Consider the soul and Him Who made it perfect; then breathed into it its sin and its piety xci. 8. Thereupon He would say: Such and such of servant of Mine asked you for a drink but you did not provide him; and had you provided him drink you would have found him near Me. Ibn Abbas reported: A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Allah Messenger ﷺ ; a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot of meteor ? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best the actual position ; but we; however; used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: These meteors are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then the Angels supporting the Throne sing His glory; then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission the jinn snatches what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it. She said: I weep not because I am ignorant of the fact that what is in store for Allah Messenger ﷺ in the next world is better than this world ; but I weep because the revelation which came from the Heaven has ceased to come. He said that he Ibn Umar had been taking rest. He Ibn Umar heard my voice. and said: Are you Ibn Jubair? I said: Yes. Hesaid: Come in. By Allah; it must be some great need which has brought you here at this Hour. So I got in and found him lying on a blanket reclining against a pillow stuffed with fibres of date-palm. I said: O AbuAbd AlRahman; should there be separation between the invokers of curses? He said: Hallowed be Allah; yes; The first one who asked about it was so and so. he said: Messenger of Allah; tell me If one of us finds his wife committing adultery: what should he do? If he talks; that is something great; and if he keeps quiet that is also something great which he cannot afford to do. Allah Prophet ﷺ kept quiet or some time. After some time he that very person came to him Allah Messenger and said: I have been involved in that very cage about which I had asked you Allah the Exalted and Majestic then revealed these verses of Surah Nur: Those who accuse their wives verse 6 ; and he the Holy Prophet recited them to him and admonished him; and exhorted him and informed him that the torment of the world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. He said: No; by Him Who sent you with Truth; I did not tell a lie against her. He the Holy Prophet then called her the wife of that person who had accused her and admonished her; and exhorted her; and informed her that the torment of this world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. She said: No; by Him Who sent thee with Truth; he is a liar. it was the man who started the swearing of oath and he swore in the name of Allah four times that he was among the truthful. and at the fifth turn he said: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then the woman was called and she swore four times in the name of Allah that he her husband was among the liars; and at the fifth time she said : Let there be curse upon her if he were among the truthful. I did not know what to say. So I went to the house of Abdullah Bin Umar and I sought permission to enter. I was told he was taking a nap; but he heard me taking and he said: Is it Ibn Jubair? Enter. You would not have come except for a need. He said: So I entered and found him laying on a saddlecloth from his mount. I said: O Abu Abdulrahman Are those involved in Lian separated? He said: Glorious is Allah! Yes. The first who asked about hat was so-and-so the son of so-and-so. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said O Messenger of Allah! If one of us saw his wife committing adultery; what should he do? If he were to say anything; his statement would be a horrible matter; and if he were to remain silent; his silence about the matter would be horrible. He said: So the Prophet ﷺ remained silent and did not answer him. Afterwards he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: The one who asked you about it has been tried by it. So Allah revealed these Ayat from Surat AlNur: And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies by Allah 24:6-10 - until the end of those Ayat. He said: So he called for the man and recited the Ayat to him and admonished him; reminded him; and he told him: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. So he said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the Truth! I did not lie about her. Then he ﷺ did the same with the woman; admonishing her and reminding her and he told her: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. She said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the Truth! He is not telling the truth. He said: So he started with the man: He testified four times; by Allah that he is one of the truthful; and the fifth time that the curse of Allah be upon him if he was one of the liars. Then the same with the woman: She testified four times by Allah; that he was one of the liars; and the fifth time that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was one of the truthful. And in Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for one hundred years without stopping. Recite if you wish: And in shade extended. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-7953		Saeed Bin Jubair narrated: I was asked about those who were involved in the case of Lian and if they are to be separated; during the leadership of mousab Bin AlZubair. I did not know what to say. So I went to the house of Abdullah Bin Umar and I sought permission to enter. I was told that he was taking a nap; but he heard me talking and he said: Is it Ibn Jubair? Enter. You would not have come except for a need.He said: So I entered and found him lying on a saddlecloth from his mount. I said: O Abu Abdulrahman Are those involved in Lian separated? He said: Glorious is Allah! Yes. The first who asked about that was so-and-so the son of so-and-so. He came to the Prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah! If one of us saw his wife committing adultery what should he do? If he were to say anything; his statement would be a horrible matter; and if he were to remain silent; his silence about the matter would be horrible.He said: So the Prophet remained silent and did not answer him. Afterwards he came to the Prophet and said: The one who asked you about it has been tried by it. So Allah revealed these Ayat from Surat AlNur. And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves - until the end of those Ayat. So he called for the man and recited the Ayat to him and admonished him; reminded him; and he told him: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. So he said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the truth! I did not lie about her. Then he did the same with the woman; admonished her and reminding her and he told her: Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter. She said: Nay! By the One Who sent you with the truth! He is not telling the truth.He said: So he started with the man: He testified four times; by Allah that he is one of the truthful; and the fifth time that the curse of Allah be upon him if he was one of the liars. Then the same with the woman: She testified four times by Allah; that he was one of the liars; and the fifth time that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was one of the truthful. Allah is incomparably great. O Allah; Light of the heavens and of the earth.The narrator Sulaiman Bin Dawud said: Lord of the heavens and of the earth; Allah is incomparably great. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25095		Ibn Abbas said Hilal Bin Umayah was one of the three persons whose repentance was accepted by Allaah. One night he returned from his land and found a man along with his wife. He witnessed with his eyes and heard with his ears. He did not threaten him till the morning. Next day he went to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ in the morning and said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ I came to my wife in the night and found a man along with her. I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ disliked what he described and he took it seriously. There upon the following Quranic verse came down And those who make charges against their spouses but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them.... When the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ came to himself after the revelation ended he said Glad tidings to you Hilal; Allaah the exalted has made ease and a way out for you. Hilal said I expected that from my Lord. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Send for her. She then came. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ recited the verses to them and he reminded them and told them that the punishment in the next world was more severe than that in n this world. Hilal said I swear by Allah I spoke the truth against her. She said He told a lie. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Apply the method of invoking curses on one another. Hilal was told Bear witness. So he bore witness before Allaah four times that he spoke the truth. When he was about to utter the fifth time he was told Hilal fear Allah; for the punishment in this world is easier than that in the next world and this is the deciding one; that will surely cause punishment to you. He said I swear by Allaah. Allah will not punish me for this act ; as He did not cause me to be flogged for this act. So he bore witness a fifth time invoking the curse of Allah on him if he was of those who tell a lie. Then the people said to her; Testify. So she gave testimony before Allaah that he was a liar. When she was going to testify the fifth time she was told Fear Allah; for the punishment in this world is easier than that in the next world. This is the deciding one that will surely cause punishment to you. She hesitated for a moment. And then said By Allah; I will not disgrace my people. So she testified a fifth time invoking the curse of Allah on her if he spoke the truth. Apostle of Allaah ﷺ separated them from each other and decided that the child will not be attributed to its father. Neither she nor her child will be accused of adultery. He who accuses her or her child will be liable to punishment. He also decided that there will be no dwelling and maintenance for her from the husband as they were separated without divorce and death. He then said If she gives birth to a child with reddish hair; light buttocks; wide belly and light shins he will be the child of Hilal. If she bears a dusky child with curly hair; fat limbs; fat shins and fat buttocks he will be the child of the one who was accused of adultery. She gave birth to a child with curly hair; fat limbs; fat shins and fat buttocks. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Had there been no oaths; I would have dealt with her severely.Ikrimah said Later on he became the chief of the tribe of Mudar. He was not attributed to his father. He said to the man who sinned: Go and enter Paradise by My mercy. He said about the other: Take him to Hell. Abu Huraira said: By Him in Whose hand my soul is; he spoke a word by which this world and the next world of his were destroyed.
