This because they rejected the Signs of Allah, and slew the prophets in defiance of right; this because they rebelled and transgressed beyond bounds.

The people rushed to take some of the water. Bilal again went in and brought out a spear-headed stick; and then Allah Messenger ﷺ came out. As if I were now looking at the whiteness of his leg. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6470Narrated Aisha: Saad was wounded on the day of Khandaq i.e. Trench when a man from Quraish; called Hibban Bin AlAraqa hit him with an arrow. The man was Hibban Bin Qais from the tribe of Bani Mais Bin Amir Bin Louai who shot an arrow at Saad medial arm vein or main artery of the arm. The Prophet ﷺ pitched a tent for Sad in the Masjid so that he might be near to the Prophet ﷺ to visit. When the Prophet returned from the battle of AlKhandaq i.e. Trench and laid down his arms and took a bath Gabriel came to him while he i.e. Gabriel was shaking the dust off his head; and said; You have laid down the arms? By Allah; I have not laid them down. Go out to them to attack them. The Prophet ﷺ said; Where? Gabriel pointed towards Bani Quraidha. So Allah Messenger ﷺ went to them i.e. Banu Quraidha i.e. besieged them. They then surrendered to the Prophet judgment but he directed them to Saad to give his verdict concerning them. Saad said; I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed; their women and children should be taken as captives; and their properties distributed. Narrated Hisham: My father informed me that Aisha said; Saad said; O Allah! You know that there is nothing more beloved to me than to fight in Your Cause against those who disbelieved Your Apostle and turned him out of Mecca. O Allah! I think you have put to an end the fight between us and them i.e. Quraish infidels. And if there still remains any fight with the Quraish infidels ; then keep me alive till I fight against them for Your Sake. But if you have brought the war to an end; then let this wound burst and cause my death thereby. So blood gushed from the wound. There was a tent in the Masjid belonging to Banu Ghifar who were surprised by the blood flowing towards them. They said; O people of the tent! What is this thing which is coming to us from your side? Behold! Blood was flowing profusely out of Saad wound. SahihMuslim-017-001-18063It has been narrated on the authority of Aisha that Saad wound became dry and was going to heal when he prayed: O God; surely Thou knowest that nothing is dearer to me than that I should fight for Thy cause against the people who disbeliever Your Messenger ﷺ and turned him out from his native place. If anything yet remains to be decided from the war against the Quraish; spare my life so that I may fight against them in Thy cause. O Lord; I think Thou hast ended the war between us and them. If Thou hast done so; open my wound so that it may discharge and cause my death thereby. So the wound begin to bleed from the front part of his neck. The people were not scared except when the blood flowed towards them; and in the Masjid along with Saad tent was the tent of Banu Ghifar. They said: O people of the tent; what is it that is coming to us from you? SahihMuslim-017-001-21387Aisha Allah be pleased with her reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ decided to observe itikaf; he prayed in the morning and then went to the place of his itikaf; and he commanded that a tent should be pitched for him; and it was pitched. He once decided to observe itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. Zainab the wife of the Holy Prophet commanded that a tent should be pitched for her. It was pitched accordingly. SahihMuslim-017-001-22407Abu Saeed AlKhudri Allah be pleased with him reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed itikaf confined himself for devotion and prayer in the first ten days of Ramadan; he then observed itikaf in the middle ten days in a Turkish tent with a mat hanging at its door. He the Holy Prophet took hold of that mat and placed it in the nook of the tent. He then put his head out and talked with people and they came near him; and he the Holy Prophet said: I observed itikaf in the first ten nights and days in order to seek that night Lailat AlQadr. I then observed itikaf in the middle ten days. Then an angel was sent to me and I was told that this night is among the last ten nights. He who among you likes to observe itikaf should do so; and the people observed it along with him; and he the Holy Prophet said: That Lailat AlQadr was shown to me on an odd night and I saw in the dream that I was prostrating in the morning in clay and water. So in the morning of the twenty-first night when he the Holy Prophet got up for dawn prayer. there was a rainfall and the Masjid dripped; and I saw clay and water. SahihMuslim-017-001-22410Abu Saeed AlKhudri Allah be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed itikaf in the middle ten days of Ramadan to seek Lailat AlQadr before it was made manifest to him. When these nights were over; he commanded to strike the tent. Then it was made manifest to him that Lailat AlQadr was in the last ten nights of Ramadan ; and commanded to pitch the tent again. He then came to the people and said: O people; Lailat AlQadr was made manifest to me and I came out to inform you about it that two persons came contending with each other and there was a devil along with them and I forgot it. So seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan. Seek it on the ninth; on the seventh and on the fifth. I one of the narrators said: Abu Said; you know more than us about numbers. He said: Yes; indeed we have better right than you. I said: What is this ninth; seventh; and fifth? He said: When twenty-one nights are over and the twenty-second begins; it is the ninth; and when twenty-three nights are over; that which follows the last night is the seventh; and when twenty-five nights are over; what follows it is fifth. Then he said: Does he not bear witness to La ilaha illallah there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah? He said: He does bear witness to that. Once he intended to observe Itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. She said: He ordered to pitch a tent for him; and it was pitched. She said: The other wives of the Prophet ﷺ also ordered to pitch tents for them and they were pitched. When he offered the fajr prayer; he saw the tents; and said: What is this ? Did you intend to do an act of virtue ? She said: He then ordered to demolish his tent; and it was demolished. Then his wives also ordered to demolish their tents and they were demolished. When he saw them he asked about them and someone told him that they were the tents of Aisha; Hafsa and Zaynab. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Do you think them devout?
