SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4199Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The Prophet Moses was a shy person and used to cover his body completely because of his extensive shyness. One of the children of Israel hurt him by saying; He covers his body in this way only because of some defect in his skin; either leprosy or scrotal hernia; or he has some other defect. Allah wished to clear Moses of what they said about him; so one day while Moses was in seclusion; he took off his clothes and put them on a stone and started taking a bath. When he had finished the bath; he moved towards his clothes so as to take them; but the stone took his clothes and fled; Moses picked up his stick and ran after the stone saying; O stone! Give me my garment! Till he reached a group of Bani Israel who saw him naked then; and found him the best of what Allah had created; and Allah cleared him of what they had accused him of. The stone stopped there and Moses took and put his garment on and started hitting the stone with his stick. By Allah; the stone still has some traces of the hitting; three; four or five marks. This was what Allah refers to in His Saying:- O you who believe! Allah Messenger ﷺ went to him in the company of Thabit Bin Qais Bin Shammas; and at that time; Allah Messenger ﷺ had a stick of a date-palm tree in his hand. When he i.e. the Prophet ﷺ stopped near Mousailima while the latter was amidst his companions; he said to him; If you ask me for this piece of stick ; I will not give it to you; and Allah Order you cannot avoid; but you will be destroyed ; and if you turn your back from this religion; then Allah will destroy you. And I think you are the same person who was shown to me in my dream; and this is Thabit Bin Qais who will answer your questions on my behalf. Then the Prophet ﷺ went away from him. I asked about the statement of Allah Messenger ﷺ : You seem to be the same person who was shown to me in my dream; and Abu Huraira informed me that Allah Messenger ﷺ said; When I was sleeping; I saw in a dream two bangles of gold on my hands and that worried me. And then I was inspired Divinely in the dream that I should blow on them; so I blew on them and both the bangles flew away. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6706Narrated Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah Bin Utba: We were informed that Mousailima AlKadhdhab had arrived in Medina and stayed in the house of the daughter of AlHarith. The daughter of AlHarith Bin Kuraiz was his wife and she was the mother of Abdullah Bin Amir. There came to him Allah Messenger ﷺ accompanied by Thabit Bin Qais Bin Shammas who was called the orator of Allah Messenger ﷺ. Allah Messenger ﷺ had a stick in his hand then. The Prophet ﷺ stopped before Mousailima and spoke to him. Mousailima said to him; If you wish; we would not interfere between you and the rule; on condition that the rule will be ours after you... The Prophet said; If you asked me for this stick; I would not give it to you. I think you are the same person who was shown to me in a dream. And this is Thabit Bin AlQais who will answer you on my behalf. The Prophet ﷺ then went away. I asked Ibn Abbas about the dream Allah Messenger ﷺ had mentioned. Ibn Abbas said; Someone told me that the Prophet ﷺ said; When I was sleeping; I saw in a dream that two gold bangles were put in my hands; and that frightened me and made me dislike them. Then I was allowed to blow on them; and when I blew at them; both of them flew. Then I interpreted them as two liars who would appear. SahihMuslim-017-001-18658It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa: We were sitting in the company of Umar and he said: Who amongst you has heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ talking about the turmoil? Some people said: It is we who heard it. Upon this be remarked: Perhaps by turmoil you presume the unrest of man in regard to his household or neighbour; they replied: Yes. He Umar observed: Such an unrest would be done away with by prayer; fasting and charity. But who amongst you has heard from the Apostle ﷺ describing that turmoil which would come like the wave of the ocean. Hudhaifa said: The people hushed into silence; I replied: It is I. He Umar said: Ye; well; your father was also very pious. Hudhaifa said: I heard the Messenger of Allah may peace be; upon him observing: Temptations will be presented to men hearts as reed mat is woven stick by stick and any heart which is impregnated by them will have a black mark put into it; but any heart which rejects them will have a white mark put in it. The result is that there will become two types of hearts: one white like a white stone which will not be harmed by any turmoil or temptation; so long as the heavens and the earth endure; and the other black and dust-coloured like a vessel which is upset; not recognizing what is good or rejecting what is abominable; but being impregnated with passion. Hudhaifa said: I narrated to him Umar : There is between you and that turmoil a closed door; but there is every likelihood of its being broken. Umar said: Would it be broken? You have; been rendered fatherless. Had it been opened; it would have been perhaps closed also. I said: No; it would be broken; and I narrated to him: Verily that door implies a person who would be killed or die. There is no mistake in this hadith. Abu Khalid narrated: I said to Sad; O Abu Malik; what do you mean by the term Aswad Murbadda? He replied: High degree of whiteness in blackness. I said: What is meant by Alkoozu Mujakhiyan? SahihMuslim-017-001-19426Ali reported: We were in a funeral in the graveyard of Gharqad when Allah Messenger ﷺ came to us and we sat around him. He had a stick with him. He lowered his head and began to scratch the earth with his stick; and then said: There is not one amongst you whom a seat in Paradise or Hell has not been allotted and about whom it has not been written down whether he would be an evil person or a blessed person. SahihMuslim-017-001-22092Abu Said AlKhudri reported: When we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was distributing the spoils of war; there came to him Dh AlKhuwasira; one of Banu Tamim. He said: Messenger of Allah; do justice. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe be upon thee! Who would do justice; if I do not do justice? You would be unsuccessful and incurring a loss; if I do not do justice. Upon this Umar Bin AlKhattab Allah be pleased with him said: Messenger of Allah; permit me to strike off his neck. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave him; for he has friends who would outwardly look to be so religious and pious that everyone among you would consider his prayer insignificant as compared with their prayer; and his fast as compared with their fasts. They would recite the Quran but it would not go beyond their collar-bones. They would pass through the teachings of Islam so hurriedly just as the arrow passes through the prey. He would look at its Iron head; but would not find anything ticking there. He would then see at the lowest end; but would not find anything sticking there. He would then see at its grip but would not find anything sticking to it. He would then see at its feathers and he would find nothing sticking to them as the arrow would pass so quickly that nothing would stick to it neither excrement nor blood. They would be recognised by the presence of a black man among them whose upper arms would be like a woman breast; or like a piece of meat as it quivers; and they would come forth at the time when there is dissension among the people. Abu Said said: I testify to the fact that I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; and I testify to the fact that Ali Bin Abu Talib fought against them and I was with him. SunanAlNasai-017-001-15456Abdullah Bin Amr said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to pray; and those who were with him also got up. He stood for a long time; then he bowed for a long time; then he raised his head and then prostrated for a long time. Then he raised his head and sat for a long time. Then he prostrated for a long time; then he raised his head and stood up; and he did in the second rakah the same as he had done in the first; standing; bowing; prostrating and sitting. He started blowing and weeping at the end of his prostration in the second rakah; saying: You did not tell me that You would do that while I was still among them; You d not tell me that You would do that while we are asking You for forgiveness. Then he raised his head and the eclipse ended. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and addressed the people. He praised and glorified Allah then he said: The sun and moon are two of the signs of Allah SWT ; the Mighty and Sublime. If you see either of them being eclipsed; then hasten to remember Allah SWT ; the Mighty and Sublime. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad; Paradise was brought so near to me that if I had stretched out my hand; I could have taken some of its fruits. And Hell was brought so near to me that I tried to ward it off for fear it may overwhelm you. I saw therein a woman from Himyar who was being punished because of a cat she tied up; not leaving it free to eat of the vermin of the earth; nor feeding it or giving it water; until it died. I saw it biting her when she came and biting her backside when she went. And I saw the owner of the Sabtiyatain; the brother of Banu As-Dada; being pushed with a two-pronged stick in the Fire. MuwataMalik-017-001-34880Yahya related to me from Malik from Umar Ibn Husayn; the mawla of Aisha bint Qudama; that Abd AlMalik Ibn Marwan imposed retaliation against a man who killed a mawla with a stick and so the mawla patron killed the man with a stick. Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things in our community about which there is no dispute is that when a man strikes another man with a stick or hits him with a rock or intentionally strikes him causing his death; that is an intentional injury and there is retaliation for it. Malik said; Intentional murder with us is that a man intentionally goes to a man and strikes him until his life goes. Part of intentional injury also is that a man strikes a man in a quarrel between them. He leaves him while he is alive; and he bleeds to death and so dies. There is retaliation for that.
