And humiliating is the punishment of those who reject Faith.

Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."

The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) wherein is hail: He strikes therewith whom He pleases and He turns it away from whom He pleases, the vivid flash of His lightning well-nigh blinds the sight.

No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts.

Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

But He chooses of His Messengers (For the purpose) whom He pleases. So believe in Allah. And His messengers: And if ye believe and do right, ye have a reward without measure.

If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).

Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2494		Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; While three persons were traveling; they were overtaken by rain and they took shelter in a cave in a mountain. A big rock fell from the mountain over the mouth of the cave and blocked it. They said to each other. Think of such good righteous deeds which; you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that Allah may relieve you from your difficulty. one of them said; O Allah! I had my parents who were very old and I had small children for whose sake I used to work as a shepherd. When I returned to them at night and milked the sheep ; I used to start giving the milk to my parents first before giving to my children. And one day I went far away in search of a grazing place for my sheep ; and didnt return home till late at night and found that my parents had slept. I milked my livestock as usual and brought the milk vessel and stood at their heads; and I disliked to wake them up from their sleep; and I also disliked to give the milk to my children before my parents though my children were crying from hunger at my feet. So this state of mine and theirs continued till the day dawned. O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure; then please let there be an opening through which we can see the sky. So Allah made for them an opening through which they could see the sky. Then the second person said; O Allah! I had a cousin whom I loved as much as a passionate man love a woman. I tried to seduce her but she refused till I paid her one-hundred Dinars So I worked hard till I collected one hundred Dinars and went to her with that But when I sat in between her legs to have sexual intercourse with her ; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah ! Do not deflower me except legally by marriage contract. So I left her O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure then please let the rock move a little to have a wider opening. So Allah shifted that rock to make the opening wider for them. And the last third person said O Allah ! I employed a laborer for wages equal to a Faraq a certain measure: of rice; and when he had finished his job he demanded his wages; but when I presented his due to him; he gave it up and refused to take it. Then I kept on sowing that rice for him several times till managed to buy with the price of the yield; some cows and their shepherd Later on the laborer came to me an said. O Allah slave! Be afraid o Allah; and do not be unjust to me an give me my due. I said to him. Go and take those cows and their shepherd. So he took them and went away. So; O Allah! If You considered that I had done that for seeking Your pleasure; then please remove the remaining part of the rock. And so Allah released them from their difficulty. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2609		Narrated Anas: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ on a Friday while he the Prophet was delivering a sermon at Medina; and said; There is lack of rain; so please invoke your Lord to bless us with the rain. The Prophet ﷺ looked at the sky when no cloud could be detected. Then he invoked Allah for rain. Clouds started gathering together and it rained till the Medina valleys started flowing with water. It continued raining till the next Friday. Then that man or some other man stood up while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon; and said; We are drowned; Please invoke your Lord to withhold it rain from us The Prophet smiled and said twice or thrice; O Allah! Please let it rain round about us and not upon us. The clouds started dispersing over Medina to the right and to the left; and it rained round about Medina and not upon Medina. The man stood in front of Allah Apostle and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah for rain. Anas added; Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ raised both his hands and said; O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain! Anas added; By Allah; we could not see any trace of cloud in the sky and there was no building or a house between us and the mountains of Sila. Anas added; A heavy cloud like a shield appeared from behind it i.e. Sila Mountain. When it came in the middle of the sky; it spread and then rained. Anas further said; By Allah! We could not see the sun for a week. Next Friday a person entered through the same gate and at that time Allah Messenger ﷺ was delivering the Friday Khutba. The man stood in front of him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; please pray to Allah to withhold rain. Anas added; Allah Messenger ﷺ I raised both his hands and said; O Allah! Round about us and not on us. O Allah! On the plateaus; on the mountains; on the hills; in the valleys and on the places where trees grow. So the rain stopped and we came out walking in the sun. Sharik asked Anas whether it was the same person who had asked for the rain the last Friday. Anas replied that he did not know. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3375		Narrated AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: When Umar was stabbed; he showed signs of agony. Ibn Abbas; as if intending to encourage Umar; said to him; O Chief of the believers! Never mind what has happened to you; for you have been in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and you kept good relations with him and you parted with him while he was pleased with you. Then you were in the company of Abu Bakr and kept good relations with him and you parted with him i.e. he died while he was pleased with you. Then you were in the company of the Muslims; and you kept good relations with them; and if you leave them; you will leave them while they are pleased with you. Umar said; to Ibn Abbas ; As for what you have said about the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and his being pleased with me; it is a favor; Allah did to me; and as for what you have said about the company of Abu Bakr and his being pleased with me; it is a favor Allah did to me; and concerning my impatience which you see; is because of you and your companions. By Allah! If at all I had gold equal to the earth; I would have ransomed myself with it from the Punishment of Allah before I meet Him. Anas added; By Allah; there were no clouds in the sky and there was no house or building between us and the mountain of Sila. Then a big cloud like a shield appeared from behind it i.e. Silas Mountain and when it came in the middle of the sky; it spread and then rained. By Allah! We could not see the sun for a week. The next Friday; a person entered through the same gate and Allah Messenger ﷺ was delivering the Friday Khutba and the man stood in front of him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; Please pray to Allah to withhold rain. Anas added; Allah Messenger ﷺ raised both his hands and said; O Allah! Round about us and not on us. O Allah! There is no rain drought ; the trees have dried and the livestock are destroyed; Please pray to Allah for rain. So Allah Messenger ﷺ said twice; O Allah! Bless us with rain. By Allah; there was no trace of cloud in the sky and suddenly the sky became overcast with clouds and it started raining. The Prophet ﷺ came down the pulpit and offered the prayer. When he came back from the prayer to his house it was raining and it rained continuously till the next Friday. When the Prophet started delivering the Friday Khutba sermon ; the people started shouting and said to him; The houses have collapsed and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah to withhold the rain. So the Prophet ﷺ smiled and said; O Allah! Round about us and not on us. So the sky became clear over Medina but it kept on raining over the outskirts of Medina and not a single drop of rain fell over Median. I looked towards the sky which was as bright and clear as a crown. She again stood up for the third time and said; She has given herself in marriage to you: so give your opinion of her. So a man stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Marry her to me. The Prophet asked him; Have you got anything? He said; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go and search for something; even if it were an iron ring. The man went and searched and then returned saying; I could not find anything; not even an iron ring. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; Do you know something of the Quran by heart ? He replied; I know by heart such Surat and such Sura. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go! I have married her to you for what you know of the Quran by heart. While the Prophet was delivering the Khutba sermon on the pulpit on a Friday; a Bedouin stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The livestock are dying and the families offspring are hungry: please pray to Allah to bless us with rain. Allah Messenger ﷺ raised both his hands towards the sky and at that time there was not a trace of cloud in they sky. Then the clouds started gathering like mountains. Before he got down from the pulpit I saw rainwater trickling down his beard. It rained that day; the next day; the third day; the fourth day and till the next Friday; when the same Bedouin or some other person stood up during the Friday Khutba and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The houses have collapsed and the livestock are drowned. Please invoke Allah for us. So Allah Messenger ﷺ raised both his hands and said; O Allah! Around us and not on us. Whichever side the Prophet ﷺ directed his hand; the clouds dispersed from there till a hole in the clouds was formed over Medina. The valley of Qanat remained flowing with water for one month and none; came from outside who didnt talk about the abundant rain. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3962		Narrated AlBara Bin Azib: Abu Bakr came to my father who was at home and purchased a saddle from him. He said to Azib. Tell your son to carry it with me. So I carried it with him and my father followed us so as to take the price of the saddle. My father said; O Abu Bakr! Tell me what happened to you on your night journey with Allah Messenger ﷺ during Migration. He said; Yes; we travelled the whole night and also the next day till midday. when nobody could be seen on the way because of the severe heat. Then there appeared a long rock having shade beneath it; and the sunshine had not come to it yet. So we dismounted there and I levelled a place and covered it with an animal hide or dry grass for the Prophet ﷺ to sleep on for a while. I then said; Sleep; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and I will guard you. So he slept and I went out to guard him. Suddenly I saw a shepherd coming with his sheep to that rock with the same intention we had when we came to it. I asked him. To whom do you belong; O boy? He replied; I belong to a man from Medina or Mecca. I said; Do your sheep have milk? He said; Yes. I said; Will you milk for us? He said; Yes. He caught hold of a sheep and I asked him to clean its teat from dust; hairs and dirt. The sub-narrator said that he saw AlBara striking one of his hands with the other; demonstrating how the shepherd removed the dust. The shepherd milked a little milk in a wooden container and I had a leather container which I carried for the Prophet ﷺ to drink and perform the ablution from. I went to the Prophet; hating to wake him up; but when I reached there; the Prophet ﷺ had already awakened; so I poured water over the middle part of the milk container; till the milk was cold. Then I said; Drink; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He drank till I was pleased. Then he asked; Has the time for our departure come? I said; Yes. So we departed after midday. Suraqa Bin Malik followed us and I said; We have been discovered; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Dont grieve for Allah is with us. The Prophet ﷺ invoked evil on him i.e. Suraqa and so the legs of his horse sank into the earth up to its belly. The subnarrator; Zuhair is not sure whether Abu Bakr said; It sank into solid earth. Suraqa said; I see that you have invoked evil on me. Please invoke good on me; and by Allah; I will cause those who are seeking after you to return. The Prophet ﷺ invoked good on him and he was saved. Then; whenever he met somebody on the way; he would say; I have looked for him here in vain. So he caused whomever he met to return. I did not refer to Allah Messenger ﷺ more repeatedly than in case of the problem of Kalala; and he the Holy Prophet never showed more annoyance to me than in regard to this problem; so much so that he struck my chest with his fingers and said: Umar; does the verse revealed in summer season; at the end of Surat AlNisa not suffice you? Hadrat Umar then said: If I live I would give such verdict about Kalala that everyone would be able to decide whether he reads the Quran or he does not. SahihMuslim-017-001-17897		It has been reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that some people came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him: Send with us some men who may teach us the Quran and the Sunnah. Accordingjy; he sent seventy men from the Ansar. They were called the Reciters and among them was my maternal uncle. Haram. They used to recite the Quran; discuss and ponder over its meaning at night. In the day they brought water and poured it in pitchers in the Masjid; collected wood and sold it; and with the sale proceeds bought food for the people of the Suffa and the needy. The Prophet ﷺ sent the Reciters with these people; but these treacherous people fell upon them and killed thern before they reached their destination While dying ; they said: O Allah; convey from us the news to our Prophet that we have met Thee in a way that we are pleased with Thee and Thou art pleased with us. The narrator said : A man attacked Haram maternal uncle of Anas from behind and smote him with a spear which pierced him. While dying ; Haram said: By the Lord of the Kaba; I have met with success. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his Companions: Your brethren have been slain grid they were saying: O Allah; convey from us to our Prophet the news that we have met Thee in a way that we are pleased with Thee and Thou art pleased with us. SahihMuslim-017-001-18330		Abu Nadra reported: I asked Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas Allah be pleased with them about the conversion of gold with gold but they did not find any harm in that. I was sitting in the company of Abd Saeed AlKhudri Allah be pleased with him and asked him about this exchange; and he said: Whatever is addition is an interest. I refused to accept it on account of their statement statement of Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar. He said: I am not narrating to you except what I heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ. There came to him the owner of a date-palm with one sa of fine dates; and the dates of Allah Apostle ﷺ were of that colour. Allah Apostle ﷺ said to him: Where did you get these dates? I went with two sa of inferior dates and bought one sa of these fine dates ; for that is the prevailing price of inferior dates in the market and that is the price of the fine quality of dates in the market ; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Woe be upon you! You have dealt in interest; when you decide to do it i. e. exchange superior quality of dates for inferior quality ; so you should sell your dates for another commodity or currency and then with the help of that commodity buy the dates you like. Abu Saad said: When dates are exchanged for dates with different qualities there is the possibility of the element of interest creeping into that or when gold is exchanged for gold having different qualities. SahihMuslim-017-001-19326		Numan Bin Bashir reported: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of a believing servant than of a person who set out on a journey with a provision of food and drink on the back of his camel. He went on until he came to a waterless desert and he felt like sleeping. So he got down under the shade of a tree and was overcome by sleep and his camel ran away. As he got up he tried to see the camel standing upon a mound. but did not find it. He then got upon the other mound; but could not see anything. He then climbed upon the third mound but did not see anything until he came back to the place where he had been previously. And as he was sitting in utter disappointment there came to him the camel; till that camel placed its nosestring in his hand. Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than the person who found his lost camel in this very state. Simak reported that Shabi was of the opinion that Numin traced it to Allah Apostle ﷺ. Simak; however; did not hear that himself. The Prophet SAWSYMOBOL went to reconcile between them. The time for prayer came; so Bilal called Adhan and waited for the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL; but he was delayed. He said the Iqamah and Abu Bakr; may Allah be pleased with him; went forward to lead the prayer. Then the Prophet SAWSYMOBOL came while Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer; and when the people saw him they clapped. Abu Bakr would not turn around when he was praying; but when he heard them clapping; he turned around and saw the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL. He wanted to step back but the Prophet SAWSYMOBOL gestured to him to stay where he was. Abu Bakr; may Allah be pleased with him; raised his hands; then he moved backward and the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL came forward and led the rest of the prayer. When the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL finished praying; he said: What prevented you from staying where you were? He said: I would not like Allah to see the son of Abu Quhafah standing in front of His Prophet. Then he the Prophet SAWSYMOBOL turned to the people and said: If you noticed something while you were praying; why did you clap? That is for women. Whoever notices something while he is praying; let him say: Subhan Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed there looking for it and the people stayed with him. There was no water near them; and they did not have water with them. The people came to Abu Bakr; may Allah be pleased with him; and said: Do you see what Aisha has done? She has made the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people stop and they are not near any water and they do not have water with them. Abu Bakr; may Allah be pleased with him; came while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was resting his head on my thigh and had gone to sleep. He said: You have detained the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people; and they are not near any water and they do not have any water with them. Aisha said: Abu Bakr rebuked me and said whatever Allah willed he would say. He started poking me on my hip; and the only thing that prevented me from moving was the fact that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was resting on my thigh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slept until morning when he woke up without any water. Then Allah; the Mighty and Sublime revealed the verse of Tayammum. Usaid Bin Hudair said: This is not the first time we have been blessed because of you; O family of Abu Bakr! I said: If you wish; I will marry you to Hafsah. He said: I will think about it. A few days passed; then I met him and he said: I do not want to get married at the moment. Umar said: Then I met Abu Bakr AlSiddiq; may Allah be pleased with him; and said: If you wish; I will marry Hafsah to you. He did not give me any answer; and I felt more upset with him than I had with Uthman; may Allah be pleased with him. Several days passed; then the Messenger of Allah proposed marriage to her; and I married her to him. Abu Bakr met me and said: Perhaps you felt upset with me when you offered Hafsah in marriage to me and I did not give you an answer? I said: Yes. He said: Nothing prevented me from giving you an answer when you made the offer to me except the fact that I had heard the Messenger of Allah speak of her; and I did not want to disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah; if he had left her; then I would have married her. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16142		It was narrated from Jabir that: when the Prophet came back from the Umrah of AlJirranah; he sent Abu Bakr to lead the Hajj. We wnet the him until; when he was in AlUrj; the Iqamah for Subh was said; and he stood up to say the Takbir while he heard the grunting of a camel behind him; and he did not say the Takbir. He said: This is the grunting of the camel of the Messenger of Allah has had second thoughts about the Hajj; and may be he is here; and we will pray with him. But it was Ali on the camel. Abu Bakr said to him: Have you come as a leader or as messenger? He said: No; as a messenger; sent by the Messenger of Allah with a declaration of innocence to recite it to the people in the stations of Hajj. So we came to makkah and one day before the day of AlTarwiyah Abu Bakr; may Allah be pleased with him; stood up and addressed the people telling them about their rituals. When he finished; Ali; may Allah be pleased with him; stood up and recited the declaration of innocence to the people until he finished it. Then we went out with hm and on the day of Arafat. Abu Bakr stood up and addressed people; telling them about rituals. When he finished; Ali; may Allah be pleased with him; stood up and recited the declaration of innocence to the people until he finished it. Then on the day of Sacrifice; we departed Ifadah and when Abu Bakr came back; eh addressed the people; telling them about their departure Ifadah ; sacrifice and rituals. None of the wives in my keep are more pleasing to me than them; and not all of them please me so much that I want a child by them; shall I then practise coitus interruptus? Zayd Ibn Thabit said; Give an opinion; Hajjaj! I said; May Allah forgive you! We sit with you in order to learn from you! He said; Give an opinion!
