SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3774Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived at Medina with Abu Bakr; riding behind him on the same camel. Abu Bakr was an elderly man known to the people; while Allah Messenger ﷺ was a youth that was unknown. Thus; if a man met Abu Bakr; he would say; O Abu Bakr! Who is this man in front of you? Abu Bakr would say; This man shows me the Way; One would think that Abu Bakr meant the road; while in fact; Abu Bakr meant the way of virtue and good. Then Abu Bakr looked behind and saw a horse-rider pursuing them. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is a horse-rider pursuing us. The Prophet ﷺ looked behind and said; O Allah! Cause him to fall down. So the horse threw him down and got up neighing. After that the rider; Suraqa said; O Allah Prophet! Order me whatever you want. The Prophet said; Stay where you are and do not allow anybody to reach us. So; in the first part of the day Suraqa was an enemy of Allah Prophet and in the last part of it; he was a protector. Then Allah Apostle alighted by the side of the AlHarra and sent a message to the Ansar; and they came to Allah Prophet and Abu Bakr; and having greeted them; they said; Ride your camels safe and obeyed. Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr rode and the Ansar; carrying their arms; surrounded them. The news that Allah Prophet had come circulated in Medina. The people came out and were eagerly looking and saying Allah Prophet has come! Allah Prophet has come! So the Prophet ﷺ went on till he alighted near the house of Abu Ayoub. While the Prophet ﷺ was speaking with the family members of Abu Ayoub ; Abdullah Bin Salam heard the news of his arrival while he himself was picking the dates for his family from his family garden. He hurried to the Prophet ﷺ carrying the dates which he had collected for his family from the garden. He listened to Allah Prophet and then went home. Then Allah Prophet said; Which is the nearest of the houses of our kith and kin? Abu Ayoub replied; Mine; O Allah Prophet! This is my house and this is my gate. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go and prepare a place for our midday rest. Abu Ayoub said; Get up both of you with Allah Blessings. So when Allah Prophet went into the house; Abdullah Bin Salam came and said I testify that you i.e. Muhammad are Apostle of Allah and that you have come with the Truth. The Jews know well that I am their chief and the son of their chief and the most learned amongst them and the son of the most learned amongst them. So send for them i.e. Jews and ask them about me before they know that I have embraced Islam; for if they know that they will say about me things which are not correct. So Allah Messenger ﷺ sent for them; and they came and entered. Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them; O the group of Jews! Woe to you: be afraid of Allah. By Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped; you people know for certain; that I am Apostle of Allah and that I have come to you with the Truth; so embrace Islam. The Jews replied; We do not know this. So they said this to the Prophet and he repeated it thrice. Then he said; What sort of a man is Abdullah Bin Salam amongst you? They said; He is our chief and the son of our chief and the most learned man; and the son of the most learned amongst us. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; O Ibn Salam! Come out to them. He came out and said; O the group of Jews! Be afraid of Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped. You know for certain that he is Apostle of Allah and that he has brought a True Religion! They said; You tell a lie. On that Allah Messenger ﷺ turned them out.The Chapter on Pre-Islam And Jews in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The emigration of the Prophet to AlMadina in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6109Narrated Abu Jamra: I used to sit with Ibn Abbas and he made me sit on his sitting place. He requested me to stay with him in order that he might give me a share from his property. So I stayed with him for two months. Once he told me that when the delegation of the tribe of Abdul Qais came to the Prophet; the Prophet ﷺ asked them; Who are the people i.e. you ? Or who are the delegate? They replied; We are from the tribe of Rabia. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to them; Welcome! O people or O delegation of Abdul Qais ! Neither will you have disgrace nor will you regret. They said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We cannot come to you except in the sacred month and there is the infidel tribe of Mudar intervening between you and us. So please order us to do something good religious deeds so that we may inform our people whom we have left behind at home ; and that we may enter Paradise by acting on them. Then they asked about drinks what is legal and what is illegal. The Prophet ﷺ ordered them to do four things and forbade them from four things. He ordered them to believe in Allah Alone and asked them; Do you know what is meant by believing in Allah Alone? They replied; Allah and His Apostle know better. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ said; It means: 1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah Messenger ﷺ. 2. To offer prayers perfectly 3. To pay the Zakat obligatory charity 4. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan. 5. And to pay AlKhumus one fifth of the booty to be given in Allah Cause. Then he forbade them four things; namely; Hantam; Dubba; Naqir Ann Muzaffat or Muqaiyar; These were the names of pots in which Alcoholic drinks were prepared The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the container of wine and he meant the wine itself. The Prophet ﷺ further said to them : Memorize them these instructions and convey them to the people whom you have left behind. The Chapter on Utensils And Drinks in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To pay AlKhumus onefifth of the war booty to be given in Allah Cause is a part of faith in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-19248Abdullah Bin Amr reported that a person came to him and said: What is this hadith that you narrate that the Last Hour would come at such and such time? Thereupon he said: Hallowed be Allah; there is no god but Allah or the words to the same effect. I have decided that I would not narrate anything to anyone now. I had only said that you would see after some time an important event that the sacred House Kaba would be burnt and it would happen and definitely happen. He then reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ said: The Dajjal would appear in my Ummah and he would stay in the world for forty - I cannot say whether he meant forty days; forty months or forty years. And Allah would then send Jesus son of Mary who would resemble Urwa b Masud. He Jesus Christ would chase him and kill him. Then people would live for seven years that there would be no rancour between two persons. Then Allah would send cold wind from the side of Syria that none would survive upon the earth having a speck of good in him or faith in him but he would die; so much so that even if some amongst you were to enter the innermost part of the mountain; this wind would reach that place also and that would cause his death. I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: Only the wicked people would survive and they would be as careless as birds with the characteristics of beasts. They would never appreciate the good nor condemn evil. Then Satan would come to them in human form and would say: Dont you respond? And they would say: What do you order us? And he would command them to worship the idols but; in spite of this; they would have abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives. Then the trumpet would be blown and no one would hear that but he would bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side and the first one to hear that trumpet would be the person who would be busy in setting right the tank meant for providing water to the camels. He would swoon and the other people would also swoon; then Allah would send or He would cause to send rain which would be like dew and there would grow out of it the bodies of the people. Then the second trumpet would be blown and they would stand up and begin to look around. Then it would be said: O people; go to your Lord; and make them stand there. And they would be questioned. Then it would be said: Bring out a group out of them for the Hell-Fire. And then it would be asked: How much? It would be said: Nine hundred and ninty-nine out of one thousand for the Hell-Fire and that would be the day which would make the children old because of its terror and that would be the day about which it has been said: On the day when the shank would be uncovered lxviii. 42.The Chapter on Charity To Save Oneself From Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 23 in Sahih Muslim

Abu Burdah Bin Niyar stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; I swear by Allah; I sacrificed before I went for prayer. I thought it was the day of eating and drinking; so I made haste; and ate myself; and supplied flesh to my family and neighbors. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: That is a goat meant for eating flesh. In Muwata Malik

Hadith PageArabic TextEnglish TranslationBook and Chapter
MuwataMalik-017-001-35572Yahya said that Malik said; concerning two associates; If they share one herdsman; one male animal; one pasture and one watering place then the two men are associates; as long as each one of them knows his own property from that of his companion If someone cannot tell his property apart from that of his fellow; he is not an associate; but rather; a co-owner Malik said; It is not obligatory for both associates to pay zakat unless both of them have a zakatable amount of livestock. If; for instance; one of the associates has forty or more sheep and goats and the other has less than forty sheep and goats; then the one who has forty has to pay zakat and the one who has less does not. If both of them have a zakatable amount of livestock then both of them are assessed together i.e the flock is assessed as one and both of them have to pay zakat. If one of them has a thousand sheep; or less; that he has to pay zakat on; and the other has forty; or more; then they are associates; and each one pays his contribution according to the number of animals he has - so much from the one with a thousand; and so much from the one with forty. Malik said; Two associates in camels are the same as two associates in sheep and goats; and; for the purposes of zakat; are assessed together if each one of them has a zakatable amount of camels. That is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; There is no zakat on less than five head of camels; and Umar Ibn AlKhattab said; On grazing sheep and goats; if they come to forty or more - one ewe. Yahya said that Malik said; This is what I like most out of what I have heard about the matter. Malik said that when Umar Ibn AlKhattab said; Those separated should not be gathered together nor should those gathered together be separated in order to avoid paying zakat; what he meant was the owners of livestock. Malik said; What he meant when he said; Those separated should not be gathered together is; for instance; that there is a group of three men; each of whom has forty sheep and goats; and each of whom thus has to pay zakat. Then; when the zakat collector is on his way ;they gather their flocks together so that they only owe one ewe between them. This they are forbidden to do. What he meant when he said; nor should those gathered together be separated; is; for instance; that there are two associates; each one of whom has a hundred and one sheep and goats; and each of whom must therefore pay three ewes. Then; when the zakat collector is on his way; they split up their flocks so that they only have to pay one ewe each. This they are forbidden to do. And so it is said; Those separated should not be gathered together nor should those gathered together be separated in order to avoid paying zakat. Malik said; This is what I have heard about the matter. The Chapter on Zakat Of Live Stock in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Itikaf in Ramadan in Muwata Malik
