One day; a man among my paternal uncles came and said The Messenger of Allah has forbidden me to do something that was beneficial for us; but obedience to Allah and His Messenger is more beneficial for us. He has forbidden us to lease land on the basis of AlMuhaqalah and to lease it in return for one-third or one-quarter of the yield; and for a specified amount of food produce. And he commanded the landowner to cultivate it himself or to give it to someone else to cultivate. He did not like leasing it or anything else.

    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

The commander of the people of Egypt was Uqbah Bin Amir; and the commenter of the our group was Fadalah Bin Ubaid. One man among the Muslims reached the Roman line until he entered amidst them; so the people started screaming: Subhan Allah! He has thrown himself into destruction! Abu Ayoub AlAnsari said: O you people! You give this interpretation for this Ayah; while this Ayah was only revealed about us; the people among the Ansar; when Allah made Islam might; and increased its supporters. Some of us secretly said to each other; outside of the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : Our wealth has been ruined; and Allah has strengthened Islam; and increased its supporters; so if we tend to our wealth then what we lost of it shall be revitalized for us. So Allah; Blessed and Most High; revealed to His Prophet ﷺ ; rebuking what we said: And spend in the cause of Allah; and do not throw yourselves into destruction. 2:195 So the destruction was tending to the wealth and maintaining it. Abu Ayoub did not cease traveling in Allah cause; until he was buried in the land of the Romans.

After a little while I heard a call maker calling me; I said; I was afraid that some Quranic Verse might be revealed about me. So I went to Allah Apostle and greeted him. He said; Tonight there has been revealed to me a Surah which is dearer to me than that on which the sun shines i.e. the world. Then he recited: Verily! We have given you O Muhammad ; a manifest victory. Surat AlFath No. 48.1.

A man said; O chief of the believers! You have given her too much. Umar said disapprovingly. May your mother be bereaved of you! By Allah; I have seen her father and brother besieging a fort for a long time and conquering it; and then we were discussing what their shares they would have from that war booty.

Dont oppress the Muslims and ward off their curse invocations against you for the invocation of the oppressed is responded to by Allah ; and allow the shepherd having a few camels and those having a few sheep to graze their animals ; and take care not to allow the livestock of Abdulrahman Bin Auf and the livestock of Uthman Bin Affan; for if their livestock should perish; then they have their farms and gardens; while those who own a few camels and those who own a few sheep; if their livestock should perish; would bring their dependents to me and appeal for help saying; O chief of the believers! O chief of the believers! Would I then neglect them? No; of course. So; I find it easier to let them have water and grass rather than to give them gold and silver from the Muslims treasury. By Allah; these people think that I have been unjust to them. This is their land; and during the prelslamic period; they fought for it and they embraced Islam willingly while it was in their possession. By Him in Whose Hand my life is! Were it not for the animals in my custody which I give to be ridden for striving in Allah Cause; I would not have turned even a span of their land into a Hima.

I heard somebody calling me. I said to myself; I fear that some Quranic Verses have been revealed about me; and so I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and greeted him. And Abu Bakr narrated to me - and Abu Bakr told the truth - he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: There is no man who commits a sin; then stands for purification; then performs Prayer; then seeks forgiveness from Allah; except that Allah forgives him. Then he recites this Ayah: Those who; when they have committed Fahishah or wronged themselves with evil; remember Allah... 3:135 until the end of the Ayah.
