SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6743Narrated Safwan Bin Yala Bin Umaiya: that his father said; I participated in AlUsra i.e. Tabuk along with the Prophet. Yala added; My participation in that Ghazwa was the best of my deeds to me. Yala said; I had a laborer who quarrelled with somebody; and one of the two bit the hand of the other Ata; the sub-narrator; said; Safwan told me who bit whom but I forgot it ; and the one who was bitten; pulled his hand out of the mouth of the biter; so one of the incisors of the biter was broken. So we came to the Prophet ﷺ and he considered the biter claim as invalid i.e. the biter did not get a recompense for his broken incisor. We said; He says so because a patient dislikes medicines. When he improved and felt a little better; he said; Didnt I forbid you to pour medicine in my mouth ? We said; We thought it was because of the dislike; patients have for medicines. Abu AlDarda heard of our arrival so he came to us and said; Is there anybody among you who can recite Quran We replied in the affirmative. Then he asked; Who is the best reciter? They pointed at me. Then he told me to recite; so I recited the verse:- By the night as it envelops By the day as it appears in brightness; By Him Who created male and the female. 92.1-3 Abu AlDarda then said to me; Did you hear it like this from the mouth of your friend Abdullah Bin Masud ? I said; Yes.
