But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1079		Narrated Abu Bakra: The Prophet ﷺ said; Time has come back to its original state which it had when Allah created the Heavens and the Earth; the year is twelve months; of which four are sacred; and out of these four three are in succession; namely; Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and Muharram; and the fourth one Rajab Mudar which is between Jumad Ath-Tham and Shaban. The Prophet ﷺ then asked us; Which month is this? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. He kept quiet so long that we thought he might call it by another name. Then he said; Isnt it Dhu AlHijja? We said; Yes. He asked What town is this? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. Then he kept quiet so long that we thought he might call it by another name. He then said; Isnt it the forbidden town Mecca ? We said; Yes. He asked; What is the day today? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. Then he kept quiet so long that we thought that he might call it by another name. Then he said; Isnt it the Day of AlNahr slaughtering of sacrifices ? We said; Yes. Then he said; Your blood lives ; your properties; the sub narrator Muhammad; said: I think he also said :..and your honor are as sacred to one another like the sanctity of this Day of yours; in this town of yours; in this month of yours. You shall meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Dont go astray after me by striking the necks of one another. Lo! It is incumbent upon those who are present to inform it to those who are absent for perhaps the informed one might comprehend it understand it better than some of the present audience. Whenever the sub-narrator Muhammad mentioned that statement; he would say; The Prophet ﷺ said the truth. And then the Prophet ﷺ added; No doubt! Havent I conveyed Allah Message to you! No doubt! Havent I conveyed Allah Message to you? The narrator added: In fact; it was like that. The Prophet ﷺ added; Beware! Do not renegade as disbelievers after me by striking cutting the necks of one another. She said; Yes; by Allah. though it was her habit that if a man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ sent her a message asking her to allow him to be buried there; she would say; No; by Allah; I will never give permission to anyone to be buried with them. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1479		Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Noah will be brought before Allah on the Day of Resurrection; and will be asked; Did you convey the message of Allah? He will reply; Yes; O Lord. And then Noah nation will be asked; Did he Noah convey Allah message to you? They will reply; No warner came to us. Then Noah will be asked; Who are your witnesses? He will reply. My witnesses are Muhammad and his followers. Thereupon you Muslims will be brought and you will bear witness. Then he said it for the third time and added; You should Know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle; and I want to exile you fro;;; this land; so whoever among you owns some property; can sell it; otherwise you should know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2062		Narrated Usama: Once a daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ sent a message to Allah Messenger ﷺ while Usama; Sad; and my father or Ubai were sitting there with him. She said; in the message ; My child is going to die; please come to us. Allah Messenger ﷺ returned the messenger and told him to convey his greetings to her; and say; Whatever Allah takes; is for Him and whatever He gives is for Him; and everything with Him has a limited fixed term in this world : so she should be patient and hope for Allah reward. Then she again sent for him swearing that he should come; so The Prophet ﷺ got up; and so did we. When he sat there at the house of his daughter ; the child was brought to him; and he took him into his lap while the child breath was disturbed in his chest. The eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ started shedding tears. Saad said; What is this; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? The Prophet ﷺ said; This is the mercy which Allah has lodged in the hearts of whoever He wants of His slaves; and verily Allah is merciful only to those of His slaves who are merciful to others. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2467		Narrated Abu Uthman: Usama Bin Zaid said that while he. Saad and Ubai Bin Kaab were with the Prophet ﷺ a daughter of the Prophet sent a message to him; saying. My daughter is dying; please come to us. The Prophet ﷺ sent her his greetings and added It is for Allah what He takes; and what He gives; and everything before His sight has a limited period. So she should hope for Allah reward and remain patient. She again sent a message; beseeching him by Allah; to come. So the Prophet ﷺ got up. and so did we and went there. The child was placed on his lap while his breath was irregular. Tears flowed from the eyes of the Prophet. Saad said to him; What is this; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said. This Is Mercy which Allah has embedded in the hearts of whomever He wished of His slaves. And Allah does not bestow His Mercy; except on the merciful among His slaves. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4475		Narrated Anas: The Prophet ﷺ sent seventy men from the tribe of Bani Salim to the tribe of Bani Amir. When they reached there; my maternal uncle said to them; I will go ahead of you; and if they allow me to convey the message of Allah Messenger ﷺ it will be all right ; otherwise you will remain close to me. So he went ahead of them and the pagans granted him security But while he was reporting the message of the Prophet ﷺ ; they beckoned to one of their men who stabbed him to death. My maternal uncle said; Allah is Greater! By the Lord of the Kaba; I am successful. After that they attached the rest of the party and killed them all except a lame man who went up to the top of the mountain. Hammam; a sub-narrator said; I think another man was saved along with him. Gabriel informed the Prophet ﷺ that they i.e the martyrs met their Lord; and He was pleased with them and made them pleased. We used to recite; Inform our people that we have met our Lord; He is pleased with us and He has made us pleased Later on this Quranic Verse was cancelled. The Prophet ﷺ invoked Allah for forty days to curse the murderers from the tribe of Ral; Dhakwan; Bani Lihyan and Bam Usaiya who disobeyed Allah and his Apostle. Intercede with Allah for me; and I will say; I cant help you for I have conveyed Allah Message to you; or one carrying clothes that will be fluttering; and the man will say; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Intercede with Allah for me. And I will say; I cant help you; for I have conveyed Allah Message to you. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5868		Narrated Ikrima: Ibn Abbas said: Allah Messenger ﷺ delivered a sermon on the Day Of AlNahr; and said; O people! Tell me what is the day today? The year is of twelve months; four of which are sacred; and out of these four three are in succession; i.e. Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and AlMuharram; and the fourth is Rajab which is named after the Mudar tribe; between the month of Jumaida ath-thania and Shaban. Then the Prophet ﷺ asked; Which is this month? We said; Allah and His Apostle know better. On that the Prophet ﷺ kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; Isnt it the month of Dhu AlHijja? We replied; Yes. Then he said; Which town is this? We replied; Allah and His Apostle know better. On that he kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. Then he said; Isnt it the town of Mecca? We replied; Yes; Then he said; Which day is today? We replied; Allah and His Apostle know better. He kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. Then he said; Isnt it the day of AlNahr i.e. sacrifice ? We replied; Yes. He said; So your blood; your properties; The sub-narrator Muhammad said; I think the Prophet ﷺ also said: And your honor.. are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours; in this city of yours; in this month of yours; and surely; you will meet your Lord; and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Do not become infidels after me; cutting the throats of one another. It is incumbent on those who are present to convey this message of mine to those who are absent. May be that some of those to whom it will be conveyed will understand it better than those who have actually heard it. The year is constituted of twelve months; of which four are sacred; three of them consecutive; viz. Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and Muharram; and also Rajab the month of Mudar which comes between Jumada and Shaban. He the Holy Prophet then said: which month is this? We said Allah and His Messenger know best. He the narrator said: He the Holy Prophet remained silent for some time until we thought that he would give it a name other than that by which it was known. He said: Is it not Dhal-Hijja? We said: Yes. He the Holy Prophet said: Which city is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He the Holy Prophety remained silent until we thought that he would give it another name. He the Holy Prophet said: Is it not the Balda the city of Mecca ? We said: Yes. He said: What day is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He the Holy Prophet remained silent until we thought that he would give it another name. He said: Is it not the Day of Sacrifice? We said: Allah Messenger. yes. Thereupon he said: Your blood; your property Muhammad; one of the narrators; said: I think; he also said this and your honour are sacred to you like the sacredness of this day of yours; in this city of yours; and in this month of yours. You will soon meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds. So do not turn after me unbelievers or misguided ; some of you striking the necks of the others. Behold I let him who is present convey to him who is absent; for many a one whom a message is conveyed has a more retentive memory than one who hears. He again said: Behold! have I not delivered the message to you? This hadith has been narrated through another chain of transmitters; but with a slight variation of words. SahihMuslim-017-001-18054		It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira who said: We were sitting in the Masjid when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and said: Let us go to the Jews. We went out with him until we came to them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and called out to them saying : O ye assembly of Jews; accept Islam and you will be safe. They said: Ab AlQasim; you have communicated God Message to us. They said: Ab AlQisim; you have communicated Allah Message. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I want this... - He said to them the same words the third time and on getting the same reply he added: You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle; and I wish that I should expel you from this land Those of you who have any property with them should sell it; otherwise they should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle and they may have to go away leaving everything behind. SahihMuslim-017-001-19120		Abu Bakra reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: There would soon be turmoil. Behold! there would be turmoil in which the one who would be seated would be better than one who would stand and the one who would stand would be better than one who would run. Behold! when the turmoil comes or it appears; the one who has camel should stick to his camel and he who has sheep or goat should stick to his sheep and goat and he who has land should stick to the land. A person said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion about one who has neither camel nor sheep nor land? Thereupon; he said: He should take hold of his sword and beat its edge with the help of stone and then try to find a way of escape. O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message ; O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message ; O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message. A person said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion if I am drawn to a rank in spite of myself; or in one of the groups and made to march and a man strikes with his sword or there comes an arrow and kills me? Thereupon he said: He will bear the punishment of his sin and that of yours and he would be one amongst the denizens of Hell. SahihMuslim-017-001-21016		Sahl Bin Saad reported: An Arab woman was mentioned before Allah Messenger ﷺ. He commanded Abu Usaid to send a message to her and he accordingly sent a message to her. She came and stayed in the fortresses of Banu Saidah. Allah Messenger ﷺ went out until he came to her while she was at that time sitting with her head downcast. When Allah Messenger ﷺ talked to her; she said: I seek refuge with Allah from you. Thereupon he said: I have decided to keep you away from me. They the people near her said: Do you know who he is? She said: No. They said: He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to you in order to give you the proposal of marriage. She said: Then I am the most unfortunate woman because of this i. e. my defiance. Sahl said: Allahs. Messenger ﷺ then set forth on that day until he sat in the Saqifa of Banu Saidah along with his Companions. He then said to Sahl: Serve us drink. He Sahl said: I brought out for them this bowl containing drink and served them this. Abu Hazim said: Sahl brought out this cup for us and we also drank from that. Then Umar Bin Abd AlAziz asked him to give that cup as a gift to him and he gave it to him as a gift. In the narration of Abu Bakr Bin Ishaq the words are: Sahl; serve us drink. SahihMuslim-017-001-21139		Abu Huraira reported that a person came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: I am hard pressed by hunger. He sent message to one of his wives to procure food for him. but she said: By Him Who has sent you with Truth; thrre is nothing with me to serve him but only water. He the Holy Prophet then sent the same message to another; and she gave the same reply; until all of them gave the same reply: By Him Who has sent thee with the Truth; there is nothing with me but only water; whereupon he the Holy Prophet said: Allah would show mercy to him who will entertain this guest tonight. A person from the Ansar stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; I am ready to entertain. He took him to his house and said to his wife: Is there anything with you to serve the gdest ? She said: No; but only a subsistence for our children. He said: Distract their attention with something; and when the guest enters extinguish the lamp and give him the impression that we are eating. So they sat down. and the guest had his meal. When it was morning he went to Allah Apostle ﷺ who said: Allah was well pleased with what you both did for your guest this night. SahihMuslim-017-001-21524		Abu Salama reported that Fatima bint Qais; the sister of AlDahhak Bin Qais informed him that Abu Hafs Bin Mughira AlMakhzumi divorced her three times and then he proceeded on to the Yemen. The members of his family said to her: There is no maintenance allowance due to you from us. Khalid Bin Walid along with a group of persons visited Allah Messenger ﷺ in the house of Maimuna and they said: Abu Hafs has divorced his wife with three pronouncements; is there any maintenance allowance due to her? Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: No maintenance allowance is due to her; but she is required to spend the Idda; and he sent her the message that she should not be hasty in making a decision about herself and commanded her to move to the house of Umm Sharik; and then sent her the message that as the first immigrants frequently visit the house of Umm Sharik; she should better go to the house of Ibn Umm Maktum; the blind; and further said: In case you put off your head-dress; he Ibn Umm Makhtum will not see you. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28822		Asim Ibn Kulayb quoted his father authority for the following statement by one of the Ansar: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a funeral; and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the grave giving this instruction to the grave-digger: Make it wide on the side of his feet; and make it wide on the side of his head. When he came back; he was received by a man who conveyed an invitation from a woman. So he came to her ; to it food was brought; and he put his hand i.e. took a morsel in his hand ; the people did the same and they ate. Our fathers noticed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was moving a morsel around his mouth. He then said: I find the flesh of a sheep which has been taken without its owner permission. The woman sent a message to say: Messenger of Allah; I sent someone to AlNaqi to have a sheep bought for me; but there was none; so I sent a message to my neighbour who had bought a sheep; asking him to send it to me for the price he had paid ; but he could not be found. I; therefore; sent a message to his wife and she sent it to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give this food to the prisoners.
