And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."

I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience."

The dearest of his property to him was Bairuha garden which was facing the Prophets Masjid. Allah Messenger ﷺ used to enter it and drink of its good fresh water. When the Holy Verse:- By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend in charity of that which you love. 3.92 was revealed; Abu Talha got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah says: By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend of that which you love; and the dearest of my property to me is the Bairuha garden and I want to give it in charity in Allah Cause; seeking to be rewarded by Allah for that. So you can spend it; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; where-ever Allah instructs you. Allah s Apostle said; Good! That is a perishable or profitable wealth Abdullah is in doubt as to which word was used. He said; I have heard what you have said but in my opinion youd better give it to your kith and kin. On that Abu Talha said; I will do so; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Abu Talha distributed that garden among his kith and kin and cousins. Allah; the Blessed; the Superior stated in His book: By no means shall you attain Birr; unless you spend of that which you love.... V 3:92 and the most beloved property to me is Bairuha which was a garden where Allah Messenger ﷺ used to go to sit in its shade and drink from its water. I gave it to the Allah and His Messenger ﷺ hoping for Allah Reward in the Hereafter. So; Ao Allah Messenger ! Use it as Allah orders you to use it. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Bravo! O Abu Talha ; it is fruitful property. We have accepted it from you and now we return it to you. Distribute it amongst you relatives. So; Abu Talha distributed it amongst his relatives; amongst whom were Ubai and Hassan. When Hassan sold his share of that garden to Muawiya; he was asked; How do you see Abu Talha Sadaqa? He replied; Who should not I sell a Sa of date for Sa of money ? The garden was situated on the courtyard of the palace of Bani Jadila built by Muawiya. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4086		Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Abu Talha had the greatest wealth of date-palms amongst the Ansar in Medina; and he prized above all his wealth his garden Bairuha; which was situated opposite the Masjid of the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet used to enter It and drink from its fresh water. When the following Divine Verse came:- By no means shall you attain piety until you spend of what you love; 3.92 Abu Talha got up saying. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah says; You will not attain piety until you spend of what you love; and I prize above AlI my wealth; Bairuha which I want to give in charity for Allah Sake; hoping for its reward from Allah. So you can use it as Allah directs you. On that the Prophet ﷺ said; Bravo! It is a profitable or perishable property. Ibn Maslama is not sure as to which word is right; i.e. profitable or perishable. I have heard what you have said; and I recommend that you distribute this amongst your relatives. On that Abu Talha said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I will do as you have suggested. So; Abu Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and cousins. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4989		Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Abu Talha was the richest man in Medina amongst the Ansar and Beeruha garden was the most beloved of his property; and it was situated opposite the Masjid of the Prophet.. Allah Messenger ﷺ used to enter it and drink from its sweet water. When the following Divine Verse were revealed: you will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love 3.92 ; Abu Talha got up in front of Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah says in His Book; You will not attain righteousness unless you spend in charity that which you love; and verily; the most beloved to me of my property is Beeruha garden ; so I give it in charity and hope for its reward from Allah. O Allah Apostle! Spend it wherever you like. Allah Messenger ﷺ appreciated that and said; That is perishable wealth; that is perishable wealth. I have heard what you have said; I suggest you to distribute it among your relatives. Abu Talha said; I will do so; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. So; Abu Talha distributed it among his relatives and cousins. The sub-narrator Malik said: The Prophet ﷺ said: That is a profitable wealth; instead of perishable wealth. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5962		Narrated Ishaq Bin Abdullah Bin AlTalha : I heard Anas Bin Malik saying; Abu Talha had more property of date-palm trees gardens than any other amongst the Ansar in Medina and the most beloved of them to him was Bairuha garden; and it was in front of the Masjid of the Prophet ﷺ. Allah Messenger ﷺ used to go there and used to drink its nice water. Anas added; When these verses were revealed:-By no means shall you Attain righteousness unless You spend in charity of that Which you love. 3.92 Abu Talha said to Allah Messenger ﷺ O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah; the Blessed; the Superior says: By no means shall you attain righteousness; unless you spend in charity of that which you love. And no doubt; Bairuha garden is the most beloved of all my property to me. So I want to give it in charity in Allah Cause. I expect its reward from Allah. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Spend it where Allah makes you think it feasible. On that Allah Apostle said; Bravo! It is useful property. I have heard what you have said O Abu Talha ; and I think it would be proper if you gave it to your Kith and kin. Abu Talha said; I will do so; O Allah Apostle. Then Abu Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and his cousins. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6868		Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Out of all the Ansar; living in Medina; Abu Talha had the largest number of date palm trees gardens; and the most beloved of his property to him was Bairuha garden which was standing opposite the Masjid of the Prophet. Allah Messenger ﷺ used to enter it and drink of its good water. When the Verse:-By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend in charity of that which you love. 3.92 Abu Talha got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; Allah says:-By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend in charity of that which you love. 3.92 and the most beloved of my property to me is the Bairuha garden; so I give it as a charitable gift in Allah Cause and hope to receive good out of it; and to have it stored for me with Allah. So; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Dispose it of i.e. utilize it in the way Allah orders you to dispose it of. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Bravo! That is a fruitful property! That is a fruitful property! I have heard what you have said and I think that you should distribute that garden amongst your relatives. The Abu Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and his cousins.Narrated Yahya Bin Yahya:I learnt from Malik;..a fruitful property. SahihMuslim-017-001-18105		It has been reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that when the enemy got the upper hand on the day of the Battle of Uhud; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was left with only seven men from the ansar and two men from the Quraish. When the enemy advanced towards him and overwhelmed him; he said: Whoso turns them away from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Ansar came forward and fought the enemy until he was killed. The enemy advanced and overwhelmed him again and he repeated the words: Whoso turns them away; from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Arsar came forward and fought until he was killed. This state continued until the seven Ansar were killed one after the other. SahihMuslim-017-001-20104		Abu Ishaq reported: I was sitting with Abdullah Bin Utba and there was a discussion about the age of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some of the persons said: Abu Bakr was older than Allah Messenger ﷺ. Abdullah said: Allah Messenger ﷺ died when he was sixty-three; and Abu Bakr died when he was sixty-three and so Umar fell as a martyr when he was sixty-three. A person from the people who was called Amir Bin Saad reported that Jabir had said: We were sitting with Muawiya that there was a discussion about the age of Allah Messenger ﷺ. Thereupon Muawiya said: Allah Messenger ﷺ died when he had attained the age of sixty-three; and Abu Bakr died when he had attained the age of sixty-three; and Umar fell as a martyr when he had attained the age of sixty-three. SahihMuslim-017-001-21426		Aisha Allah be pleased with her reported that Salim; the freed slave of Abu Hadhaifa; lived with him and his family in their house. She i. e. the daughter of Suhail came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Salim has attained purbety as men attain; and he understands what they understand; and he enters our house freely; I; however; perceive that something rankles in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa; whereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said to her: Suckle him and you would become unlawful for him; and the rankling which Abu Hudhaifa feels in his heart will disappear. SahihMuslim-017-001-21427		Ibn Abu Mulaika reported that AlQasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Bakr had narrated to him that Aisha Allah be pleased with her reported that Sahla bint Suhail Bin Amr came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah; Salim the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa is living with us in our house; and he has attained puberty as men attain it and has acquired knowledge of the sex problems as men acquire; whereupon he said: Suckle him so that he may become unlawful in regard to marriage for you He Ibn Abu Mulaika said: I refrained from narrating this hadith for a year or so on account of fear. I then met AlQasim and said to him: You narrated to me a hadith which I did not narrate to anyone afterwards. He said: What is that? I informed him; whereupon he said: Narrate it on my authority that Aisha Allah be pleased with her had narrated that to me. SahihMuslim-017-001-21951		Anas Bin Malik is reported as saying: Abu Talha was the one among the Ansar of Medina who possessed the largest property and among his property he valued most was his garden known as Bairaha which was opposite the Masjid; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ often visited it and he drank of its sweet water. When this verse was revealed: You will never attain righteousness till you give freely of what you Have iii. 91 ; Abu Talha got up and; going to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; said: Allah says in His Book: You will never attain righteousness till you give freely of what you love; and the dearest of my property is Bairaha so I give it as Sadaqa to God from Whom I hope for reward for it and the treasure with Allah; so spend it; Messenger of Allah; on whatever purpose you deem it proper. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Bravo I that is profit earning property. I have heard what you have said; but I think you should spend it on your nearest relatives.
