Some of the desert Arabs look upon their payments as a fine, and watch for disasters for you: on them be the disaster of evil: for Allah is He That heareth and knoweth (all things).
The Arabs of the desert are the worst in Unbelief and hypocrisy, and most fitted to be in ignorance of the command which Allah hath sent down to His Messenger: But Allah is All-knowing, All-Wise.
Certain of the desert Arabs round about you are hypocrites, as well as (desert Arabs) among the Medina folk: they are obstinate in hypocrisy: thou knowest them not: We know them: twice shall We punish them: and in addition shall they be sent to a grievous penalty.
And there were, among the desert Arabs (also), men who made excuses and came to claim exemption; and those who were false to Allah and His Messenger (merely) sat inactive. Soon will a grievous penalty seize the Unbelievers among them.
It was not fitting for the people of Medina and the Bedouin Arabs of the neighbourhood, to refuse to follow Allah's Messenger, nor to prefer their own lives to his: because nothing could they suffer or do, but was reckoned to their credit as a deed of righteousness, - whether they suffered thirst, or fatigue, or hunger, in the cause of Allah, or trod paths to raise the ire of the Unbelievers, or received any injury whatever from an enemy: for Allah suffereth not the reward to be lost of those who do good;-
Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to vehement war: then shall ye fight, or they shall submit. Then if ye show obedience, Allah will grant you a goodly reward, but if ye turn back as ye did before, He will punish you with a grievous Penalty."
And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye (only) say, 'We have submitted our wills to Allah,' For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Thus have We revealed it to be a judgment of authority in Arabic. But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
We know indeed that they say, "It is a man that teaches him." The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6438Narrated Anas Bin Malik: The tribes of Ril; Dhakwan; Usaiya and Bani Lihyan asked Allah Messenger ﷺ to provide them with some men to support them against their enemy. He therefore provided them with seventy men from the Ansar whom we used to call AlQurra in their lifetime. They used to collect wood by daytime and pray at night. When they were at the well of Mauna; the infidels killed them by betraying them. When this news reached the Prophet ﷺ ; he said AlQunut for one month In the morning prayer; invoking evil upon some of the Arab tribes; upon Ril; Dhakwan; Usaiya and Bani Libyan. We used to read a verse of the Quran revealed in their connection; but later the verse was cancelled. It was: convey to our people on our behalf the information that we have met our Lord; and He is pleased with us; and has made us pleased. Anas Bin Malik added: Allah Prophet said Qunut for one month in the morning prayer; invoking evil upon some of the Arab tribes namely ; Ril; Dhakwan; Usaiya; and Bani Libyan. Anas added: Those seventy Ansari men were killed at the well of Mauna. The Chapter on Arab Tribes And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Ghazwa of AlRaji Ril Dhakwan and Bir Mauna and the narration about Khubaib and his companions in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-19512mousab Bin Saad reported on the authority of his father that a desert Arab came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to him: Teach me the words which I should often utter. He said: Utter; There is no god but Allah; the One; having no partner with Him. Allah is the Greatest of the great and all praise is due to Him. Hallowed be Allah; the Lord of the worlds; there is no Might and Power but that of Allah; the All-Powerful and the Wise. He that desert Arab said: These all glorify my Lord. But what about me? Thereupon he the Holy Prophet said: You should say: O Allah; grant me pardon; have mercy upon me; direct me to righteousness and provide me sustenance. Mousa one of the narrators said: I think he also said: Grant me safety. But I cannot say for certain whether he said this or not. Allah Messenger ﷺ said to him: Accept glad tidings. Thereupon the desert Arab said: You shower glad tidings upon me very much; then Allah Messenger ﷺ turned towards Abu Mousa and Bilal seemingly in a state of annoyance and said: Verily he has rejected glad tidings but you two should accept them. We said: Allah Messenger; we have readily accepted them. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ called for a cup of water and washed his hands in that and face too and put the saliva in it and then said: Drink out of it and pour it over your faces and over your chest and gladden yourselves. They took hold of the cup and did as Allah Messenger ﷺ had commanded them to do. Once we went with him to a dinner when a girl came rushingly as it someone had been pursuing her. She was about to lay her hand on the food; when Allah Messenger ﷺ caught her hand. Then a desert Arab came there rushingly as if someone had been pursuing him. He the Holy Prophet caught his hand; and then Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Satan considers that food lawful on which Allah name is not mentioned. He had brought this girl so that the food might be made lawful for him and I caught her hand. And he had brought a desert Arab so that the food might be lawful for him. So I caught his hand. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished the drink; Umar said: Allah Messenger; here is Abu Bakr; give him to drink; but Allah Messenger ﷺ gave it to the desert Arab and he left out Abu Bakr and Umar. SahihMuslim-017-001-22995Urwa Bin Zabair reported: I said to Aisha; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ : I do not see any fault in one who does not circumambl te between AlSafa and AlMarwa; and I do not mind if I do not circumambulate between them; whereupon she said: O; the son of my sister; what you say is wrong. Allah Messenger ﷺ observed Sai and so did the Muslims. So it is a Sunnah of the Prophet. And it was a common practice with the pagan Arabs that those who pronounced Talbiya for the wretched AlManat; situated at Mushalla; did not observe Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwa. With the advent of Islam; we asked Allah Apostle ﷺ about this practice; and it was on this occasion that Allah; the Exalted and Majestic; revealed this verse: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the Signs of Allah ; so he who performed Hajj or Umra it is no sin on him if he circumambulates them. And if it were as you state; then the wording would have been : There is no harm for him; that he should not circumambulate round them. Zuhri said: I made a mention of that to Abu Bakr Bin Abdulrahman Bin AlHarith Bin Hisham; he was impressed by that and said: This is what is called knowledge. And I have heard many a scholar saying: Many of the Arabs who did not circumambulate between AlSafa and AlMarwa caid: Our circumambulation between these two hills is an act of ignorance; whereas others among the Ansar said: We have been commanded to circumambulate the House; and not Commanded to run between AlSafa and AlMarwa. So Allah; the Exalted and Majestic; revealed thia verse: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the Signs of Allah. Abu Bakr Bin Abdulrahman said: I think that this verse has been revealed for such and such persons. The Chapter on The Tawaf And Saei in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 43 in Sahih Muslim

He suffered from a severe fever in Medina and so he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ saying: Muhammad; cancel my oath of allegiance. But Allah Messenger ﷺ refused it. He again came and said: Cancel my oath of allegiance. But he the Holy Prophet refused it. He again came to him and said: Cancel my oath of allegiance; but he refused. The desert Arab; however; went away cancelling the allegiance himself. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25943Muhammad Bin Jubair Bin Mutim said from his father on the authority of his grandfather: An Arab a nomadic Arab came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: People suffering distress; the children are hungry; the crops are withered; and the animals are perished; so ask Allah to grant us rain; for we seek you as our intercessor with Allah; and Allah as intercessor with you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe to you: Do you know what you are saying? Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared Allahs glory and he continued declaring His glory till the effect of that was apparent in the faces of his Companions. He then said: Woe to you: Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone. Allahs state is greater than that. Woe to you! Do you know how great Allah is? His throne is above the heavens thus indicating with his fingers like a dome over him ; and it groans on account of Him as a saddle does because of the rider Ibn Bashshar said in his version: Allah is above the throne; and the throne is above the heavens. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition. Abd AlAla; Ibn AlMuthana and Ibn Bashshar transmitted it from Yaqub Bin Utbah and Jubair Bin Muhammad Bin Jubair from his father on the authority of his grandfather.Abu Dawud said: This tradition with the chain of Ahmad Bin Saad is sound. It has been approved by the body of traditionists ; which includes Yahya Bin Main and Ali Bin AlMadani; and a group has transmitted it from Ibn Ishaq; as Ahmad also said. He replied: The pre-Islamic Arabs used to say: When anyone dies and is buried; a bird comes forth from his grave. I asked: What did he mean by safar ? He said: I heard that the pre-Islamic Arabs used to take evil omen from safar. So the Prophet ﷺ said: There is no safar. Muhammad Bin Rashid said: We heard someone say: It is a pain in the stomach. They said that it was infection. Hence he said: There is no safar. The Chapter on Entering The Holly City Of Makkah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AtTiyarah in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28418When we were at food with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ none of us put in his hand till the Messenger of Allah ﷺ put his hand first. Once we were at food with him. A nomad Arab came in as though he were being pushed; and he was about to put his hand in food when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seized him by the hand. Then a girl came in as though she were being pushed; and she was about to put her hand in the food when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seized her by the hand; and he said: The devil considers the food when Allahs name is not mentioned over it; and he brought his nomad Arab that it might be lawful by means of him; so I seized his hand: then he brought this girl that it might be lawful by means of her; so I seized her hand. By Him in Whose hand my soul is; His hand is in my hand along with their hands. The Chapter on Hand Gestures Raising The Hands in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Saying Bismillah over food in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-35156Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source of his who had heard Said Ibn AlMusayab say; Umar Ibn AlKhattab refused to let anyone inherit from the non-arabs except for one who was born among the arabs. Malik said; If a pregnant woman comes from the land of the enemy and gives birth in arab land so that he is her an arab child; he inherits from her if she dies; and she inherits from him if he dies; by the Book of Allah. Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things among us and the sunna in which there is no dispute; and what I saw the people of knowledge in our city doing; is that a Muslim does not inherit from a kafir by kinship; clientage wala ; or maternal relationship; nor does he the Muslim overshadow any of the kafirs from his inheritance. Malik said; Similarly; someone who forgoes his inheritance when he is the chief heir does not overshadow anyone from his inheritance. The Chapter on Inheritance And Heirs in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hudud in Muwata Malik
