Welcome to Hadith Category or Portal. Hadith, is a collection of traditions containing sayings of the prophet Muhammad , with accounts of his daily practice (the Sunna), constitute the major source of guidance for Muslims apart from the Quran.

There are 5 major Hadith Books, that are widely accepted by Muslims since the discipline of Hadith collection and documentation dating back to 1400 years ago. HodHood Islamic Encycoperia contains the translation of the major Hadith Books listed below. These references are considered the most authentic and original of all Hadith Books. • Translation of Sahih Muslim • Translation of Sunan AlTermadhi • Translation of Sunan Abu Dawud • Translation of Sunan AlNasai

These references contain close to 30,000 Hadith. Classified in different topics and subtopics. The topics represents the area that the hadith or narration applies to in the Muslims daily life for example daily prayers, ablution and financial transaction. The e-Library will contain a unique classification of these books, produced by computerized logic. This classification will simplify the retrieval of relevant information. A detailed explanation of the techniques employed for the indexing is included in a separate document.
