No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!
How (can there be such a league), seeing that if they get an advantage over you, they respect not in you the ties either of kinship or of covenant? With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you, but their hearts are averse from you; and most of them are rebellious and wicked.

That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

None knows them but Allah. To them came messengers with Clear (Signs); but they put their hands up to their mouths, and said: "We do deny (the mission) on which ye have been sent, and we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which ye invite us."
O ye who believe! Um Salaim his wife replied; He is quieter than he has ever been. Then she brought supper for him and he took his supper and slept with her. When he had finished; she said to him ; Bury the child as he dead. Next morning Abu Talha came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and told him about that. The Prophet ﷺ said to him ; Did you sleep with your wife last night? Abu Talha said; Yes. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Allah! Bestow your blessing on them as regards that night of theirs. Um Sulaim gave birth to a boy. Abu Talha told me to take care of the child till it was taken to the Prophet. He said; One-third is alright ; yet it is still too much; for youd better leave your inheritors wealthy than leave them poor; begging of others. Abu Talha was a strong; experienced archer who used to keep his arrow bow strong and well stretched. On that day he broke two or three arrow bows. If any man passed by carrying a quiver full of arrows; the Prophet ﷺ would say to him; Empty it in front of Abu Talha. When the Prophet ﷺ stated looking at the enemy by raising his head; Abu Talha said; O Allah Prophet! Let my parents be sacrificed for your sake! Please dont raise your head and make it visible; lest an arrow of the enemy should hit you. Let my neck and chest be wounded instead of yours. On that day I saw Aisha; the daughter of Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim both lifting their dresses up so that I was able to see the ornaments of their legs; and they were carrying the water skins of their arms to pour the water into the mouths of the thirsty people and then go back and fill them and come to pour the water into the mouths of the people again. And Allah will reward you for whatever you spend with the intention of gaining Allah Pleasure even if it were a mouthful of food you put into your wives mouth. I said; O Allah Apostle! Am I to be left behind in Mecca after my companions have gone? He said; If you should be left behind; you will be upgraded and elevated for every deed you will do with a desire to achieve Allah Pleasure. My parents were old and I used to go out for grazing my animals. On my return I would milk the animals and take the milk in a vessel to my parents to drink. After they had drunk from it; I would give it to my children; family and wife. One day I was delayed and on my return I found my parents sleeping; and I disliked to wake them up. The children were crying at my feet because of hunger. That state of affairs continued till it was dawn. O Allah! If You regard that I did it for Your sake; then please remove this rock so that we may see the sky. So; the rock was moved a bit. The second said; O Allah! You know that I was in love with a cousin of mine; like the deepest love a man may have for a woman; and she told me that I would not get my desire fulfilled unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars gold pieces. So; I struggled for it till I gathered the desired amount; and when I sat in between her legs; she told me to be afraid of Allah; and asked me not to deflower her except rightfully by marriage. So; I got up and left her. O Allah! If You regard that I did if for Your sake; kindly remove this rock. So; two-thirds of the rock was removed. Then the third man said; O Allah! No doubt You know that once I employed a worker for one Faraq three Sas of millet; and when I wanted to pay him; he refused to take it; so I sowed it and from its yield I bought cows and a shepherd. After a time that man came and demanded his money. I said to him: Go to those cows and the shepherd and take them for they are for you. He asked me whether I was joking with him. I told him that I was not joking with him; and all that belonged to him. O Allah! If You regard that I did it sincerely for Your sake; then please remove the rock. He was silent. She said; You are divorced. He said; May a stone be in your mouth. She said; You are divorced. He said; May a stone be in your mouth. They argued and went to Marwan Ibn AlHakam. He took an oath that he had only given her control over one pronouncement; and then she returned to him. Malik said that Abdulrahman declared that this decision had amazed AlQasim; who thought it the best that he had heard on the subject. Yahya said that Malik was asked what a man should do if; when he did Ablution; he forgot and washed his face before he had rinsed his mouth; or washed his forearms before he had washed his face. He said; If someone washes his face before rinsing his mouth; he should rinse his mouth and not wash his face again. If someone washes his forearms before his face; however; he should wash his forearms again so that he has washed them after his face. This is if he is still near the place of Ablution.
