  1. It was narrated that Aisha said: The wives of the Prophet got together and sent Fatimah to the Prophet. They told her to say: Your wives -and he the narrator said something to the effect that they are urging you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah. She said: So she entered upon the Prophet when he was with Aisha under her cover. She said to him: Your wives have sent me and they are urging you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah. The Prophet said to her: Do you love me? She said: Yes. He said: Then love her. So she went back to them and told them what he said. They said to her: You did not do anything; go back to him. She said: By Allah; I will never go back and speak to him about her again. She was truly the daughter of the Messenger of Allah. So they sent Zainab bint Jahsh. Aisha said: She was somewhat my equal among the wives of the Prophet. She said: Your wives have sent me to urge you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. Then she swooped on me and abused me; and I started watching the Prophet to see if he would give me permission to respond to her. She insulted me and I started to think that he would not disapprove if I responded to her. So I insulted her and I soon silenced her. Then the Prophet said to her: She is the daughter of Abu Bakr. Aisha said: And I never saw any woman who was better; more generous in giving charity; more keen to uphold the ties of kinship; and more generous in giving of herself in everything by means of which she could draw closer to Allah than Zainab. But she had a quick temper; however; she was also quick to calm down. SunanAlNasai-017-001-13890
  2. Aisha; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ ; said: The wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ sent Fatima; the daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; to Allah Apostle ﷺ. She sought permission to get in as he had been lying with me in my mantle. He gave her permission and she said: Allah Messenger; verily; your wives have sent me to you in order to ask you to observe equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. She Aisha said: I kept quiet. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said to her Fatima : O daughter; dont you love whom I love? She said: Yes; I do. Thereupon he said: I love this one. Fatima then stood up as she heard this from Allah Messenger ﷺ and went to the wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ and informed them of what she had said to him and what Allah messenger ﷺ had said to her. Thereupon they said to her: We think that you have been of no avail to us. You may again go to Allah Messenger ﷺ and tell him that his wives seek equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. Fatima said: By Allah; I will never talk to him about this matter. Aisha further reported: The wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ then sent Zainab Bin Jahsh; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ ; and she was one who was somewhat equal in rank with me in the eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ and I have never seen a woman more advanced in religious piety than Zainab; more God-conscious; more truthful; more alive to the ties of blood; more generous and having more sense of self-sacrifice in practical life and having more charitable disposition and thus more close to God; the Exalted; than her. She; however; lost temper very soon but was soon calm. Allah Messenger ﷺ permitted her to enter as she Aisha was along with Allah Messenger ﷺ in her mantle; in the same very state when Fatima had entered. She said: Allah Messenger; your wives have sent me to you seeking equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. She then came to me and showed harshness to me and I was seeing the eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ whether he would permit me. Zainab went on until I came to know that Allah Messenger ﷺ would not disapprove if I retorted. Then I exchanged hot words until I made her quiet. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled and said: She is the daughter of Abu Bakr. SahihMuslim-017-001-20699
  3. Narrated Abu Ayoub AlAnsari: A man said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Inform me of a deed which will make me enter Paradise. The people said; What is the matter with him? What is the matter with him? Allah Messenger ﷺ said; He has something to ask what he needs greatly. The Prophet ﷺ said to him ; In order to enter Paradise you should worship Allah and join none in worship with Him: You should offer prayers perfectly; give obligatory charity Zakat ; and keep good relations with your Kith and kin. He then said; Leave it! The sub-narrator said; It seems that the Prophet ﷺ was riding his she camel. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2503
  4. Aisha said: The wives of the Prophet sent Fatimah; the daughter of the Messenger of Allah; to the Messenger of Allah. She asked permission to enter when he was lying with me under my cover. He gave her permission to enter; and she said: O Messenger of Allah; your wives have sent me to you to ask you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Fatimah stood up when she heard this and left the Messenger of Allah; and went back to the wives of the Prophet. She told them what she had said; and what he had said to her. They said to her: We do not think that you have been of any avail to us. Go back to the Messenger of Allah and say to him: Your wives are urging you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Fatimah said: No; by Allah; I will never speak to him about her again. Aisha said: So the wives of the Prophet sent Zainab bint Jahsh to the Messenger of Allah; she was one who was somewhat equal to me in rank in the eyes of the Messenger of Allah. And I have never seen a woman who was better in religious commitment than Zainab; more fearing of Allah; more honest in speech; more dutiful in upholding the ties of kinship; more generous in giving charity; and devoted in giving of herself in acts of charity; by means of which she sought to draw closer to Allah. But she was quick-tempered; however; she was also quick to calm down. She asked permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah when he was with Aisha under her cover; in the same situation as when Fatimah had entered. The Messenger of Allah gave her permission to enter and she said: O Messenger of Allah; your wives have sent me to ask you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Then she verbally abused me at length; and I was watching the Messenger of Allah to see if he would allow me to respond. Zainab went on until I realized that the Messenger of Allah would not disapprove if I responded. Then I spoke back to her in such a way; until I silenced her. Then the Messenger of Allah said: She is the daughter of Abu Bakr. SunanAlNasai-017-001-13888
  5. Asim Bin Ubaidullah said: I heard Salim Bin Abdullah narrating a Hadith from his father who said: Umar said :O Messenger of Allah! Do you see that what we do is a new matter- or a matter initiated or it is a matter already concluded? He s.a.w said: O Ibn AlKhattab! It is a matter already concluded. For everyone is suited for that for which he is created. As for one who is among the people of happiness; then he works for happiness; and as for the one who is among the people of misery; then he works for his misery. Hassan SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9767
  6. It was narrated that Abu AlAliyah said: Ibn Abbas said: On the morning of AlAqabah; while he was on his mount; the Messenger of Allah said to me: Pick up some pebbles for me. So I picked up some pebbles for him that were the size of date stones or fingertips; and when I placed them in his hand he said: Like these. And beware of going to extremes in religious matters; for those who came before you were destroyed because of going to extremes in religious matters. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16206
