And the people ate to their fill; and they said: We do not know whether he the Holy Prophet had married her as a free woman ; or as a slave woman. They said: If he the Holy Prophet would make her wear the veil; then she would be a free married woman; and if he would not make her wear the veil; then she should be a slave woman. When he intended to ride; he made her wear the veil and she sat on the hind part of the camel; so they came to know that he had married her. As they approached Medina; Allah Messenger ﷺ drove his ride quickly and so we did. Adba the name of Allah Apostle camel stumbled and Allah Messenger ﷺ fell down and she Radrat Safiya: also fell down. 3. Narrated Suwaid Bin AlNuman: We went out with Allah Messenger ﷺ to Khaibar; and when we were at AlSahba; Yahya; a sub-narrator said; AlSahba is a place at a distance of one day journey to Khaibar. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked the people to bring their food; but there was nothing with the people except Sawiq. So we all chewed and ate of it. When we descend in the city-square of a people; it is a bad day for them who have been warned and have not taken heed. He said these words thrice. A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ s! You gave Safiya bint Huyai to Dihya and she is the chief mistress of the tribes of Quraidha and AlNadir and she befits none but you. So the Prophet ﷺ said; Bring him along with her. So Dihya came with her and when the Prophet ﷺ saw her; he said to Dihya; Take any slave girl other than her from the captives. Anas added: The Prophet ﷺ then manumitted her and married her. Thabit asked Anas; O Abu Hamza! What did the Prophet ﷺ pay her as Mahr ? He said; Her self was her Mahr for he manumitted her and then married her. Anas added; While on the way; Um Sulaim dressed her for marriage ceremony and at night she sent her as a bride to the Prophet ﷺ. So the Prophet was a bridegroom and he said; Whoever has anything food should bring it. He spread out a leather sheet for the food and some brought dates and others cooking butter. Narrated Ibn Abi Aufa: We were afflicted with hunger during the besiege of Khaibar; and when it was the day of the battle of Khaibar; we slaughtered the donkeys and when the pots got boiling with their meat. Allah Apostle made an announcement that all the pots should be upset and that nobody should eat anything of the meat of the donkeys. We thought that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited that because the Khumus had not been taken out of the booty i.e. donkeys ; other people said; He prohibited eating them for ever. Anas added; When the Prophet ﷺ had slept; she would take some of his sweat and hair and collect it the sweat in a bottle and then mix it with Suk a kind of perfume while he was still sleeping. When the death of Anas Bin Malik approached; he advised that some of that Suk be mixed with his Hanut perfume for embalming the dead body ; and it was mixed with his Hanut.
