Hadith PageArabic TextEnglish TranslationBook and Chapter
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-142Narrated Fatima bint AlMundhir: Asma bint AlBakr said; I came to Aisha the wife of the Prophet ﷺ during the solar eclipse. The people were standing and offering the prayer and she was also praying too. I asked her; What has happened to the people? She pointed out with her hand towards the sky and said; Subhan-Allah. I said; Is there a sign? She pointed out in the affirmative. Asma further said; I too then stood up for the prayer till I fainted and then poured water on my head. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his prayer; he thanked and praised Allah and said; I have seen at this place of mine what I have never seen even Paradise and Hell. No doubt; it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trial in the graves like or nearly like the trial of Masih AlDajjal. I do not know which one of the two Asma said. The angels will come to everyone of you and will ask what do you know about this man i.e. Muhammad. The believer or a firm believer I do not know which word Asma said will reply; He is Muhammad; Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ who came to us with clear evidences and guidance; so we accepted his teachings; believed and followed him. The angels will then say to him; Sleep peacefully as we knew surely that you were a firm believer. The hypocrite or doubtful person I do not know which word Asma said will say; I do not know. I heard the people saying something so I said it the same. The Chapter on Praise And Glory To Allah In Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Offering of Eclipse prayer by women along with men in Sahih AlBukhari

When Allah Messenger ﷺ finished the prayer ; he glorified and praised Allah and said; There is not anything that I have not seen before but I have seen now at this place of mine; even Paradise and Hell. It has been revealed to me that you people will be put to trial nearly like the trial of AlDajjal; in your graves. As for the true believer or a Muslim the sub-narrator is not sure as to which of the two words Asma had said he will say; Muhammad came with clear signs from Allah; and we responded to him accepted his teachings and believed what he said It will be said to him Sleep in peace; we have known that you were a true believer who believed with certainty. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6572Narrated Abu Mousa: The news of the migration of the Prophet from Mecca to Medina reached us while we were in Yemen. So we set out as emigrants towards him. We were three I and my two brothers. I was the youngest of them; and one of the two was Abu Burda; and the other; Abu Ruhm; and our total number was either 53 or 52 men from my people. We got on board a boat and our boat took us to Negus in Ethiopia. There we met Jafar Bin Abi Talib and stayed with him. Then we all came to Medina and met the Prophet ﷺ at the time of the conquest of Khaibar. Some of the people used to say to us; namely the people of the ship; We have migrated before you. Asma bint Umais who was one of those who had come with us; came as a visitor to Hafsa; the wife the Prophet ﷺ. She had migrated along with those other Muslims who migrated to Negus. Umar came to Hafsa while Asma bint Umais was with her. Umar; on seeing Asma; said; Who is this? She said; Asma bint Umais; Umar said; Is she the Ethiopian? Is she the sea-faring lady? Asma replied; Yes. Umar said; We have migrated before you people of the boat ; so we have got more right than you over Allah Messenger ﷺ On that Asma became angry and said; No; by Allah; while you were with Allah Messenger ﷺ who was feeding the hungry ones amongst you; and advised the ignorant ones amongst you; we were in the far-off hated land of Ethiopia; and all that was for the sake of Allah Messenger ﷺ. By Allah; I will neither eat any food nor drink anything till I inform Allah Messenger ﷺ of all that you have said. There we were harmed and frightened. SahihMuslim-017-001-20221Asma reported: I performed the household duties of AlZubair and he had a horse; I used to look after it. Nothing was more burdensome for me than looking after the horse I used to bring grass for it and looked after it; then I got a servant as Allah Apustle ﷺ had some prisoners of war in his possession. He gave me a female servant. She the female servant then began to look after the horse and thus relieved me of this burden. A person came and he said: Mother of Abdullah; I am a destitute person and I intend that I should start business under the shadow of your house. I Asma said: If I grant you permission; AlZubair may not agree to that; so you come and make a demand of it when AlZubair is also present there. He came accordingly find said: Mother of Abdullah. I am a destitute person. I intend to start t mall business in the shadow of your house. I said: Is there not in Medina any place for starting the business except my house? AlZubair said: Why is it that you prohibit the destitute man to start business here? So he started business and he earned so much that we sold our slave-girl to him There came AlZubair to me while the money was in my lap. He said: Give this to me. I said: I intend to spend it as charity. The Chapter on Pulpit And Khutba On Fridays in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 14 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-20410Abdullah. the freed slave of Asma the daughter of Abu Bakr. the maternal uncle of the son of Ata; reported: Asma sent me to Abdullah Bin Umar saying: The news has reached me that you prohibit the use of three things: the striped robe. saddle cloth made of red silk. and the fasting in the holy month of Rajab. Abdullah said to me: So far as what you say about fasting in the month of Rajab; how about one who observes continuous fasting? -and so far as what you say about the striped garment; I heard Umar Bin Khatab say that he had heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ : He who wears silk garment has no share for him in the Hereafter ; and I am afraid it may not be that striped garment; and so far as the red saddle clotb is concerned that is the saddle cloth of Abdullah and it is red. I went back to Asma and informed her. whereupon she said: Here is the cloak of Allah Messenger ﷺ. and she brought out to me that cloak made of Persian cloth with a hem of brocade; and its sleeves bordered with brocade and said: This wall Allah Messenger cloak with Aisha until she died; and when she died. I got possession of it. The Apostle of Allah ﷺ used to wear that; and we waslied it for the sick and sought cure thereby. The Chapter on Garments And Clothing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 2 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-20820Abu Mousa reported: We were in Yemen when we heard of the migration of Allah Messenger ﷺ. We also set out as immigrants to him. And I was accompanied by two brothers of mine; I being the youngest of them; one of them was Abu Burda and the other one was Abu Ruhm; and there were some other persons with them. Some say they were fifty-three or fifty-two persons of my tribe. We embarked upon a boat; and the boat sailed away to the Negus of Abyssinia. There we met Jafar Bin Abu Talib and his companions. Jafar said: Allall Messenger ﷺ has sent us here and has commanded us to stay here and you should also stay with us. So we stayed with him and we came back to Medina and met Allah Messenger ﷺ when Khaibar had been conquered. He the Holy Prophet allocated a share to us and in the ordinary course he did not allocate the share to one who had been absent on the occasion of the conquest of Khaibar but conferred a share upon him only who had been present there with him. He; however; made an exception for the people of the boat; viz. for Jafar and his companions. He allocated a share to them; and some persons from amongst the people said to us; viz. the people of the boat: We have preceded you in migration. Asma bint Umais who had migrated to Abyssinia and had come back along with them along with immigrants visited Hafsa; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ. Accordingly ; Umar had been sitting with her Hafsa. As Umar saw Asma; he said: Who is she? She Hafsa said: She is Asma; daughter of Umais. He said: She is an Abyssinian and a sea-woman. Asma said: Yes; it is so. Thereupon Umar said: We preceded you in migration and so we have more right to Allah Messenger ﷺ as compared with you. At this she felt annoyed and said: Umar; you are not stating the fact; by Allah; you had the privilege of being in the company of the Messenger ﷺ who fed the hungry among you and instructed the ignorant amongst you; whereas we had been far from here in the land of Abyssinia amongst the enemies and that was all for Allah and Allah Messenger ﷺ and; by Allah; I would never take food nor take water unless I make a mention to Allah Messenger ﷺ of what you have said. We remained in that country in constant trouble and dread and I shall talk about it to Allah Messenger way ﷺ and ask him about it. By Allah; I shall not tell a lie and deviate from the truth and add anything to that. So; when Allah Apostle ﷺ came; she said: Allah Apostle; Umar says so and so. Upon this Allah Messenger ﷺ said: His right is not more than yours; for him and his companions there is one migration; but for you; i. e. for the people of the boat; there are two migrations. She said: I saw Abu Mousa and the people of the boat coming to me in groups and asking me about this hadith; because there was nothing more pleasing and more significant for them than this. Abu Burda reported that Asma said: I saw Abu Mousa; asking me to repeat this hadith to him again and again. The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Abyssinian in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 41 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-21881Asma reported: The sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. As I went to Aisha who was busy in prayer. I said: What is the matter with the people that they are praying a special prayer ? She Aisha pointed towards the sky with her head. I said: Is it an unusual sign? She said: Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for prayer for such a long time that I was about to faint. I caught hold of a waterskin lying by my side; and began to pour water over my head; or began to sprinkle water on my face. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then finished and the sun had brightened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then addressed the people; after praising Allah and lauding Him; and then said: There was no such thing as I did not see earlier; but I saw it at this very place of mine. I ever saw Paradise and Hell. It was also revealed to me that you would be tried in the graves; as you would he tried something like the turmoil of the Dajjal. Asma said: I do not know which word he actually used qariban or mithl ; and each one of you would be brought and it would be said: What is your knowledge about this man? If the person is a believer; Asma said: I do not know whether it was the word AlMumin or AlMuqin he would say: He is Muhammad and he is the Messenger of Allah. He brought to us the clear signs and right guidance. So we responded and obeyed him. He would repeat this three times ; and it would be said to him: You should go to sleep. We already knew that you are a believer in him. So the pious man would go to sleep. So far as the hypocrite or sceptic is concerned Asma said: I do not know which word was that: AlMunafiq hypocrite or AlMurtad doubtful he would say: I do not know. I only uttered whatever I heard people say.The Chapter on Standing For Prayers And Satan in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim

Then she should pour water on it. Afterwards she should take a piece of cotton smeared with musk and cleanse herself with it. Asma said: How should she cleanse herself with the help of that? Upon this he the Messenger of Allah observed: Praise be to Allah; she should cleanse herself. Aisha said in a subdued tone that she should apply it to the trace of blood. She Asma then further asked about bathing after sexual intercourse. He the Holy Prophet said: She should take water and cleanse herself well or complete the ablution and then pour water on her head and rub it till it reaches the roots of the hair of her head and then pour water on her.
