Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.

That news distressed the companions of the Prophet ﷺ too much; and they said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Who amongst us will be that man the lucky one out of one-thousand who will be saved from the Fire ? He said; Have the good news that one-thousand will be from Gog and Magog; and the one to be saved will be from you. The Prophet ﷺ added; By Him in Whose Hand my soul is; I Hope that you Muslims will be one third of the people of Paradise. On that; we glorified and praised Allah and said; Allahu Akbar. The Prophet ﷺ then said; By Him in Whose Hand my soul is; I hope that you will be one half of the people of Paradise; as your Muslims example in comparison to the other people non-Muslims ; is like that of a white hair on the skin of a black ox; or a round hairless spot on the foreleg of a donkey. Then they will go to Adam and say; You are the one whom Allah created with His Own Hands; and breathed in you of His soul; and ordered the angels to prostrate to you; so please intercede for us with our Lord. Adam will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin; and will say; Go to Noah; the first Apostle sent by Allah They will go to him and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Abraham whom Allah took as a Khalil. They will go to him and request similarly. He will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Moses to whom Allah spoke directly. They will go to Moses and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Jesus. They will go to him; and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; go to Muhammad as Allah has forgiven his past and future sins. They will come to me and I will ask my Lord permission; and when I see Him; I will fall down in prostration to Him; and He will leave me in that state as long as He Allah will; and then I will be addressed. Raise up your head O Muhammad ! Ask; and your request will be granted; and say; and your saying will be listened to; intercede; and your intercession will be accepted. Then I will raise my head; and I will glorify and praise my Lord with a saying i.e. invocation He will teach me; and then I will intercede; Allah will fix a limit for me i.e.; certain type of people for whom I may intercede ; and I will take them out of the Hell Fire and let them enter Paradise. Then I will come back to Allah and fall in prostration; and will do the same for the third and fourth times till no-one remains in the Hell Fire except those whom the Quran has imprisoned therein. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4137	Narrated Abu Huraira: We were in the company of the Prophet ﷺ at a banquet and a cooked mutton forearm was set before him; and he used to like it. He ate a morsel of it and said; I will be the chief of all the people on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know how Allah will gather all the first and the last people in one level place where an observer will be able to see all of them and they will be able to hear the announcer; and the sun will come near to them. Some People will say: Dont you see; in what condition you are and the state to which you have reached? Why dont you look for a person who can intercede for you with your Lord? Some people will say: Appeal to your father; Adam. They will go to him and say: O Adam! You are the father of all mankind; and Allah created you with His Own Hands; and ordered the angels to prostrate for you; and made you live in Paradise. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Dont you see in what miserable state we are; and to what condition we have reached? On that Adam will reply; My Lord is so angry as He has never been before and will never be in the future; besides ; He forbade me to eat from the tree; but I disobeyed Him ; I am worried about myself! Myself! Go to somebody else; go to Noah. They will go to Noah and say; O Noah! You are the first amongst the messengers of Allah to the people of the earth; and Allah named you a thankful slave. Dont you see in what a miserable state we are and to what condition we have reached? Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Noah will reply: Today my Lord has become so angry as he had never been before and will never be in the future Myself! Myself! Go to the Prophet Muhammad. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ asked; O Allah Apostle! Who is that excepted one? He said; Rejoice with glad tidings; one person will be from you and one-thousand will be from Gog and Magog. He added; I hope that you will be one-third of the people of Paradise. We shouted; Allahu Akbar! He said; I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise. We shouted; Allahu Akbar! He further said; You Muslims compared with non Muslims are like a black hair in the skin of a white ox or like a white hair in the skin of a black ox i.e. your number is very small as compared with theirs. So they will go to Adam and say; You are the father of all the people; and Allah created you with His Own Hands; and ordered the angels to prostrate to you; and taught you the names of all things; so please intercede for us with your Lord; so that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Adam will say; I am not fit for this i.e. intercession for you. Then Adam will remember his sin and feel ashamed thereof. He will say; Go to Noah; for he was the first Apostle; Allah sent to the inhabitants of the earth. They will go to him and Noah will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. He will remember his appeal to his Lord to do what he had no knowledge of; then he will feel ashamed thereof and will say; Go to the Khalil-r-Rahman i.e. Abraham. They will go to him and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. Go to Moses; the slave to whom Allah spoke directly and gave him the Torah. So they will go to him and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking. and he will mention his killing a person who was not a killer; and so he will feel ashamed thereof before his Lord; and he will say; Go to Jesus; Allah Slave; His Apostle and Allah Word and a Spirit coming from Him. Jesus will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; go to Muhammad the Slave of Allah whose past and future sins were forgiven by Allah. So they will come to me and I will proceed till I will ask my Lord Permission and I will be given permission. When I see my Lord; I will fall down in Prostration and He will let me remain in that state as long as He wishes and then I will be addressed. Muhammad! Raise your head. Ask; and your request will be granted; say; and your saying will be listened to; intercede; and your intercession will be accepted. I will raise my head and praise Allah with a saying i.e. invocation He will teach me; and then I will intercede. He will fix a limit for me to intercede for whom I will admit into Paradise. Then I will come back again to Allah; and when I see my Lord; the same thing will happen to me. And then I will intercede and Allah will fix a limit for me to intercede whom I will let into Paradise; then I will come back for the third time; and then I will come back for the fourth time; and will say; None remains in Hell but those whom the Quran has imprisoned in Hell and who have been destined to an eternal stay in Hell. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7026	Narrated Abu Huraira: Some cooked meat was brought to Allah Apostle and the meat of a forearm was presented to him as he used to like it. He ate a morsel of it and said; I will be the chief of all the people on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know the reason for it? Allah will gather all the human being of early generations as well as late generation on one plain so that the announcer will be able to make them all-hear his voice and the watcher will be able to see all of them. The sun will come so close to the people that they will suffer such distress and trouble as they will not be able to bear or stand. Then the people will say; Dont you see to what state you have reached? Wont you look for someone who can intercede for you with your Lord Some people will say to some others; Go to Adam. So they will go to Adam and say to him. You are the father of mankind; Allah created you with His Own Hand; and breathed into you of His Spirit meaning the spirit which he created for you ; and ordered the angels to prostrate before you; so please intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see in what state we are? Dont you see what condition we have reached? Adam will say; Today my Lord has become angry as He has never become before; nor will ever become thereafter. He forbade me to eat of the fruit of the tree; but I disobeyed Him. Myself! Myself! Myself! I am preoccuied with my own problems. Go to someone else; go to Noah. So they will go to Noah and say to him ; O Noah! You are the first of Allah Messengers to the people of the earth; and Allah has named you a thankful slave; please intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see in what state we are? He will say. Today my Lord has become angry as He has never become nor will ever become thereafter. I had in the world the right to make one definitely accepted invocation; and I made it against my nation. Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else; go to Abraham. They will go to Abraham and say; O Abraham! You are Allah Messenger ﷺ and His Khalil from among the people of the earth; so please intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see in what state we are? He will say to them; My Lord has today become angry as He has never become before; nor will ever become thereafter. I had told three lies Abu Haiyan the sub-narrator mentioned them in the Hadith Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else; go to Moses. The people will then go to Moses and say; O Moses! You art Allah Messenger ﷺ and Allah gave you superiority above the others with this message and with His direct Talk to you; please intercede for us with your Lord Dont you see in what state we are? Moses will say; My Lord has today become angry as He has never become before; nor will become thereafter; I killed a person whom I had not been ordered to kill. Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else; go to Jesus. So they will go to Jesus and say; O Jesus! You are Allah Messenger ﷺ and His Word which He sent to Mary; and a superior soul created by Him; and you talked to the people while still young in the cradle. Please intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see in what state we are? Jesus will say. My Lord has today become angry as He has never become before nor will ever become thereafter. Jesus will not mention any sin; but will say; Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else; go to Muhammad. So they will come to me and say; O Muhammad ! You are Allah Messenger ﷺ and the last of the prophets; and Allah forgave your early and late sins. Please intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see in what state we are? The Prophet ﷺ added; Then I will go beneath Allah Throne and fall in prostration before my Lord. And then Allah will guide me to such praises and glorification to Him as He has never guided anybody else before me. Then it will be said; O Muhammad Raise your head. Ask; and it will be granted. Intercede and It your intercession will be accepted. So I will raise my head and Say; My followers; O my Lord! My followers; O my Lord. It will be said; O Muhammad! Let those of your followers who have no accounts; enter through such a gate of the gates of Paradise as lies on the right; and they will share the other gates with the people. You Muslims compared to the large number of other people will be like a black hair on the side of a white ox; or a white hair on the side of a black ox; and I hope that you will be onefourth of the people of Paradise. On that; we said; Allahu-Akbar! Then he said; I hope that you will be one-third of the people of Paradise. We again said; Allahu-Akbar! Then he said; I hope that you will be one-half of the people of Paradise. So we said; Allahu Akbar. SahihMuslim-017-001-18772	It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira and Hudhaifa that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah; the Blessed and Exalted; would gather people. The believers would stand till the Paradise would be brought near them. They would come to Adam and say: O our father; open for us the Paradise. He would say: What turned ye out from the Paradise was the sin of your father Adam. I am not in a position to do that; better go to my son Ibrahim; the Friend of Allah. He the Holy Prophet said: He Ibrahim would say: I am not in a position to do that. Verily I had been the Friend of Allah from beyond; beyond; you better approach Moses ﷺ with whom Allah conversed. They would come to Moses ﷺ ; but he would say: I am not in a position to do that; you better go to Jesus; the Word of Allah and His Spirit. Jesus ﷺ would say: I am not in a position to do that. So they would come to Muhammad ﷺ. He would then be permitted to open the door of Paradise. Trustworthiness and kinship would be despatched; and these would stand on the right and left of the Path and the first of you would pass with the swiftness of lightning. He the narrator said: I said; O thou who art far dearer to me than my father and my mother I which thing is like the passing of lightning? He said: Have you not seen lightning; how it passes and then comes back within the twinkling of an eye? Then they would pass like the passing of the wind; then like the passing of a bird; and the hastening of persons would be according to their deeds; and your Apostle would be standing on the Path saying: Save; O my Lord; save. The people would go on passing till the deeds of the servants would be failing in strength; till a man would come who would find it hard to go along that Path but crawlingly. He the narrator said: And on the sides of the Path hooks would be suspended ready to catch anyone whom these would be required to catch. There would be those who would somehow or other succeed in trasversing that Path and some would be piled up in Hell. SahihMuslim-017-001-18822	Abu Saeed reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah; the High and Glorious; would say: O Adam I and he would say: At Thy service; at thy beck and call; O Lord; and the good is in Thy Hand. Allah would say: Bring forth the group of the denizens of Fire. He Adam would say: Who are the denizens of Hell? It would be said: They are out of every thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine. He the Holy Prophet said: It is at this juncture that every child would become white-haired and every pregnant woman would abort and you would see people in a state of intoxication; and they would not be in fact intoxicated but grievous will be the torment of Allah. He the narrator said: This had a very depressing effect upon them upon the companions of the Holy Prophet and they said: Messenger of Allah; who amongst us would be that unfortunate person who would be doomed to Hell ? He said: Good tidings for you; Yajuj Majuj would be those thousands who would be the denizens of Hell and a person selected for Paradise would be amongst you. He the narrator further reported that he the Messenger of Allah again said: By Him in Whose Hand is thy life; I hope that you would constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise. We extolled Allah and we glorified Him. He the Holy Prophet again said: BY Him in Whose Hand is my life; I wish you would constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise. We extolled Allah and Glorified Him. He the Holy Prophet again said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life; I hope that you would constitute half of the inhabitants of Paradise. Your likeness among the people is the likeness of a white hair on the skin of a black ox or a strip on the foreleg of an ass. What is your opinion; how long Torah would haye been written before I was created? Moses said: Forty years before. Adam said: Did you not see these words: Adam committed an error and he was enticed to do so. He Moses said: Yes. Whereupon; he Adam said: Do you then blame me for an act which Allah had ordained for me forty years before He created me? Allah Messenger ﷺ said: This is how Adam came the better of Moses. So they will come to Nuh and he will say: I supplicated against the people of the earth; so they were destroyed. So go to Ibrahim. So they will go to Ibrahim; and he says: I lied three times. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He did not lie except defending Allah religion. So go to Mousa. So they will come to Mousa; and he will say: I took a life. So go to Eisa. So they go to Eisa and he says: I was worshiped besides Allah. So go to Muhammad ﷺ. He said: So they will come to me; and I will go to them. One of the narrators Ibn Judan said: Anas said: It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; and he is saying: So I will take hold of a ring of a gate of Paradise to rattle it; and it will be said: Who is there? It will be said: Muhammad. They will open it for me; and welcome me saying; Welcome. I will fall prostrate and Allah will inspire me with statements of gratitude and praise and it will be said to me: Raise your head; ask and you shall be given; intercede; and your intercession shall be accepted; speak; and your saying shall be heard. And that is AlMaqam AlMahmud about which Allah said: It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqaman-Mahmud 17:79. Sufyan said: None of it is from Anas except this sentence: I will take hold of a ring of a gate of Paradise to rattle it. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10046	Narrated Imran Bin Hosain: We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey when some of his Companions fell behind. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his voice reciting these two Ayat: O mankind! Have Taqwa of your Lord! Verily the earthquake of the hour is a terrible thing... up to His saying: but Allah torment is severe 21:1 & 2. When his Companions heard that; they hastened to catch up with him; since they knew that he had something to say. He ﷺ said: Do you know what Day this is? That is the Day when Adam will be called. His Lord will call him and say: O Adam; send forth those who are to be sent to the Fire. He will say: O Lord! How many are to be sent to the Fire? He will say: From every one-thousand there are nine-hundred and ninety-nine for the Fire and one for Paradise. So the people despaired as if they would not smile again. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw the state of his Companions; he said: Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad; you will be counted with two creations who are immense in numbers; Yajuj and Majuj; and those who have died among the progeny of Adam and the progeny of Iblis. He said: So some of the people grief went away; and he ﷺ said: Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! Among mankind; you are but like the mole on the flank of a camel; or a mark on the foreleg of a beast. So; now there are two types of men: A man who is righteous; has Taqwa and honorable before Allah; and a wicked man; who is miserable and insignificant to Allah. But among them there was a man who was the most illuminating of them or among the most illuminated of them. He said: O Lord! Who is this? He said: This is your son Dawud; I wrote forty years for him. He said: O Lord! Add to his age. He said: That is what I have written for him. He said: O Lord! Give him sixty of my years. He said: So you shall have it. He said: Then; he resided in Paradise as long as Allah willed; then he was cast from it; so Adam was counting for himself. He said: So the Angel of death came to him; and Adam said to him: You are hasty; one-thousand years were written for me. He said: Of course! But you gave sixty years to your son Dawud. So he rejected; and his offspring rejected; and he forgot; and his offspring forgot. He said: So ever since that day; what is written and witnessed has been decreed. So he ﷺ came out upon them and said his Salam; and said: I have heard your words; and your amazement that Ibrahim is the Khalil of Allah; and he is such; and that Mousa is the one spoken to by Allah; and he is such; and that Eisa is the spirit of Allah and His Word; and he is such; and that Adam was chosen by Allah; and he is such. Indeed I am the beloved of Allah and I am not boasting; and I am the carrier of the Banner of Praise on the Day Of Judgment; and I am not boasting. And I am the first intercessor; and the first to have intercession accepted from him on the Day Of Judgment; and I am not boasting. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9676	Abu Huraira narrated: Some meat was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and a foreleg was presented to him; and he used to like it; so he bit from it. Then he said: I will be the Leader of the people on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know why that is? Allah will gather the people; the first and the last; on one level ground where they will all be able to hear a caller; and all of them will be visible; and the sun will be brought near such that the people will suffer distress and trouble that they cannot tolerate nor bear. Then some people will say: Dont you see the state you have reached? Why dont you look for a person who can intercede for you with your Lord? Some of them will say to others: You should go to Adam. So they will go to Adam and say; You are the father of all mankind; Allah created you with His Own Hands; and breathed into you from His spirit which He creted for you and ordered the angels to prostrate for you. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Dont you see what has happened to us? Dont you see the state we have reached? On that Adam will reply; Today my Lord has become angry such that He has never before been angry; and will never be thereafter. He forbade me to eat from the tree; but I disobeyed Him ; Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to somebody else; Go to Nuh. They will go to Nuh and say: O Nuh! You are the first among the Messengers to the people of the earth; and Allah named you a thankful slave. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Dont you see what has happened to us? Dont you see the state we have reached? Nuh will say to them : Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry; and will never be thereafter. I had been given one supplication; and I supplicated against my own people. Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else! Go to Ibrahim. They will go to Ibrahim and say: O Ibrahim! You are Allah Prophet and His Khalil among the people of the earth; so intercede for us with your Lord; dont you see what hads happened to us? He will say: Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry and will never be thereafter. Indeed I uttered three lies.- Abu Hayyan a narrator mentioned them in his narration - Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else! Go to Mousa. So they will go to Mousa and say: O Mousa! You are the Messenger of Allah who Allah distinguished above the people with His Message and His Speech; intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see what has happened to us? So he will say Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry and will never be thereafter. Indeed I killed a person whom I was ordered not to kill. Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else; Go to Eisa. They will go to Eisa and say: O Eisa ! You are the Messenger of Allah and His Word which He placed into Mariam; and a Spirit from Him; and you spoke to the people in the cradle. Intercede for us with your Lord. Dont you see what has happened to us? Then Eisa will say: Today my Lord has become angry as He has never before been angry and will never be thereafter. He will not mention a sin; but will say: Myself! Myself! Myself! Go to someone else! Go to Muhammad. He said: They will go to Muhammad s.a.w and they say: O Muhammad! You are the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets; and your past and future sins have been pardoned. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord; dont you see what has happened to us? Then I will depart until I come to under the Throne to fall prostrating before my Lord. Then Allah will guide me to such praises and beautiful statements of glorification which He did not guide anyone to before me. Then He will say: O Muhammad! Raise your head. Ask;so that you may be granted and intercede so that your intercession may be accepted. I will raise my head and say: O Lord! My Ummah! O Lord! My Ummah! O Lord! My Ummah! He will say: O Muhammad! Let those of your Ummah who have no accounts enter the gate on the right among the gates of Paradise; and they shall share in the gates other than that with the people. Then he s.a.w said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! What is between every two gate-posts in Paradise is as what is between Makkah and Hajar; and what is between Makkah and Busra. They said: Yes! We testify; lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: Verily; we have been unaware of this 7:172. So Umar Bin AlKhattab said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being asked about it. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Indeed Allah created Adam; then He wiped his back with His Right Hand; and his offspring came out of him. So he said: I created these for Paradise; and they will do the deeds of the people of Paradise. Then He wiped his back; and his offspring came out of him. So He said: I created these for the Fire; and they will do the deeds of the people of the Fire. A man said: Then of what good is doing deeds O Messenger of Allah! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily; when Allah created a man for Paradise; He makes him perform the deeds of the people of Paradise; until he dies doing one of the deeds of the people of Paradise. So Allah will admit him into Paradise. And when He created a man for the Fire; He makes him perform the deeds of the people of the Fire until he dies doing the deeds of the people of the Fire. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9953	Narrated Abu Huraira: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Allah created Adam He wiped his back and every person that He created among his offspring until the Day of Resurrection fell out of his back. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25920	Narrated Umar Ibn AlKhattab: Muslim Ibn Yasar AlJuhani said: When Umar Ibn AlKhattab was asked about the verse When your Lord took their offspring from the backs of the children of Adam - AlQanabi recited the verse-he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say when he was questioned about it: Allah created Adam; then passed His right hand over his back; and brought forth from it his offspring; saying: I have these for Paradise and these will do the deeds of those who go to Paradise. He then passed His hand over his back and brought forth from it his offspring; saying: I have created these for Hell; and they will do the deeds of those who go to Hell. A man asked: What is the good of doing anything; Messenger of Allah? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Allah creates a servant for Paradise; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Paradise; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Paradise; for which He will bring him into Paradise. But when He creates a servant for Hell; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Hell; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Hell; for which He will bring him into Hell. Mousa rebuked Adam; You are Adam who led people astray and brought them out of the Garden. Adam said to him; You are Mousa to whom Allah gave knowledge of everything and whom he chose above people with His message. He said; Yes. MuwataMalik-017-001-34665		Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Abi Unaysa that Abd AlHamid Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Zayd Ibn AlKhattab informed him from Muslim Ibn Yasar AlJuhani that Umar Ibn AlKhattab was asked about this ayat - When your Lord took their progeny from the Banu Adam from their backs and made them testify against themselves. Am I not your Lord? They said; Yes; we bear witness Lest you should say on the Day of Rising; We were heedless of that. Surat 7 ayat 172 Umar Ibn AlKhattab said; I heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; being asked about it. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Allah; the Blessed; the Exalted; created Adam. Then He stroked his back with His right hand; and progeny issued from it. He said; I created these for the Garden and they will act with the behaviour of the people of the Garden. Then He stroked his back again and brought forth progeny from him. He said; I created these for the Fire and they will act with the behaviour of the people of the Fire. A man said; Messenger of Allah! Then of what value are deeds? The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; answered; When Allah creates a slave for the Garden; he makes him use the behaviour of the people of the Garden; so that he dies on one of the actions of the people of the Garden and by it He brings him into the Garden. When He creates a slave for the Fire; He makes him use the behaviour of the people of the Fire; so that he dies on one of the actions of the people of the Fire; and by it; He brings him into the Fire.
